Awesome show. I'm very intrigued on how JBL/Punk will go, is he trying to take away his money through the IC title? HBK retiring is a good storyline, but would've been nicer to see Mr. Wrestlemania retire at Wrestlemania. I see this leading to HHH turning. A Jericho/Batista feud seems meh, but could be good with Jericho doing all the mic work.
All in all I say a 8/10

- Interesting to have HBK retire. I hope someone beats him that needs a rub. - Good IC title match to start the wrestling portion of the show. - Interesting idea with JBL/Punk, I do hope Punk turns heel at some point. - Glad to see the Technicians back, and winning. - Obvious that Orton/Cena needed to happen at Backlash, so that makes sense. - Mean Jericho is a good plan. Good promo by Jericho as well. - Wonder if HBK will lose three matches in a row, before beating HHH at Backlash. - Good show, never really read a bad show.

ECW 4/7/09 Preview
-Two nights ago at WrestleMania XXV Matt Hardy lost his ECW Championship to Elijah Burke. Burke's reign at the top of ECW begins tonight, but with Hardy having the night off to heal from 'Mania, what will Burke have in store for us? And Teddy Long has an announcement regarding the ECW Title and Backlash. What will this announcement be?
-The Shawn Michaels farewell tour stops in ECW tonight! Shawn Michaels will have an open contract that can be signed by any ECW Superstar. Who will step up and face the "Showstopper"?
-A few weeks back on ECW, The All-American American Jack Swagger defeated Television Champion Evan Bourne in the middle of the ring. He earned himself a future title shot and tonight on ECW, Swagger gets his shot. Can Bourne repeat his No Way Out victory over Swagger? Or will Swagger secure the biggest win of his young career?
-Plus, last week, Kevin Thorn told everybody that he would be coming to ECW this week and bringing his "mentor" along with him. Who is his "mentor"? What about his "minions"?
Tune into Sci-Fi tonight at 9PM for all of this and more!

April 7th, 2009 New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana Attendance: 14,567
ECW kicks off with a video package showcasing ECW’s only match at WrestleMania XXV. It shows how Matt Hardy and Elijah Burke went back and forth until Elijah pulled out the win and picked up his first Championship in the WWE.
Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to this edition of ECW. They announce that we will hear from our new ECW Champion later tonight, plus Shawn Michaels will be making an appearance on ECW tonight. Sadly, last night the Heart Break Kid announced that he would be retiring at the upcoming Backlash Pay-Per-View, but before he does he will be answering the challenge of whoever signs his open contracts over the next few weeks. And tonight’s contract has already been signed. For the first time ever Shawn Michaels will take on the ECW Original, Tommy Dreamer!
Once they finish what they’re saying, Kevin Thorn’s music hits. Before he comes out though we hear his voice over the speakers. He said that last week he promised to reveal who his “mentor” was and he will do just that tonight.
Singles Match Kevin Thorn vs. Finlay w/ Hornswoggle
This was a tightly contested match as both men nailed each other with some stiff shots. Despite Thorn hitting some high impact offense, Finlay stayed in control for the most part and seemed to be on the verge of victory when he had Thorn up for the Celtic Cross. The lights in the arena went out at that moment though. When they came back on, Finlay still had Thorn up, but let him go once he looked outside and saw that Hornswoggle was covered in blood. Thorn turned him around the nailed the Crucifix Bomb to end it.
Winner: Kevin Thorn (5:27) **¼
The lights in the arena go out again and when they come back in Thorn is joined in the ring by the returning Gangrel, which explains Hornswoggle’s bloodbath. Thorn grabs a microphone and says that Gangrel has been his mentor over the past few weeks. He heard last week that Tommy Dreamer said he will stand up against Thorn’s takeover of ECW. Well next week he wants Tommy in the ring. And he says that his “minions” just might be around.
Commercial Break.
We are now joined by the new ECW Champion, Elijah Burke. He comes to the ring and brags about his title win. He says that he guaranteed it back at the Royal Rumble and made good on his promise to win the ECW Title. Theodore Long makes his out after Burke talks for a few more minutes and congratulates Burke on his victory. He said that he was proud of the performance his two ECW stars put on at WrestleMania. But he’s looking towards Backlash and who Elijah Burke will defend the ECW Title against on that night. Burke says to bring on anybody he can think of because he’s the best ECW has to offer. Long announces that Matt Hardy has evoked his rematch clause for Backlash, where he will face Burke in a WrestleMania rematch. Burke looks confident at his as he has beaten Matt already. But then, Long announces that their match will be contested under Extreme Rules! A match that Matt Hardy is undefeated in since he came over to ECW a year ago. Burke looks more worried at this as we cut to commercial.
Commercial Break.
The World Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz are shown in Teddy Long’s office. They both say that maybe Teddy should find them some new competition because they’ve taken out every tag team in the WWE. The Technicians, Kofi Kingston & CM Punk, Jesse & Festus, The Second City Saints, you name them all and they’ve beaten them all. Long says that they have a good point, but he asks them if they saw how good The Technicians looked last night in their return. He tells them that they should worry about Haas & Noble. Miz and Morrison shake it off as if they don’t care.
Singles Match Shawn Michaels vs. Tommy Dreamer
Michaels ended up carrying Dreamer to his best match in a really long time. There was no domination by either man, or no special comebacks being made, they just went in there and wrestled. Both men hit their trademark spots, Dreamer even brought the Dreamer Driver yet only got a two. In the end though, Michaels nailed him with some Sweet Chin Music for the victory.
Winner: Shawn Michaels (9:03) **¾
After the match, Shawn Michaels raised Dreamer’s hand as we go to commercial.
Commercial Break.
We come back to see Teddy Long in his office with Tiffany. He talks about the upcoming draft and how he hopes ECW gets lucky on that night. In steps rising star Gavin Spears. He says that he appreciates the night off, but he’d like to get back in the ring next week. Long says that’s a great idea and he really hopes that Spears stays put on draft night. Spears looks at Tiffany and says that he hopes he does as well.
Television Championship Match Evan Bourne (c) vs. Jack Swagger
This wasn’t as good as their No Way Out meeting, but it was still very good. Swagger came out aggressively and had complete control early on as he wore down the champion. Bourne managed to fight his way back when he ducked a clothesline from Swagger, which sent him to the outside. Bourne then nailed a suicide dive onto him. He rolled him in the ring and hit the cannonball leg drop, but only got a two. He went to the top again, most likely for his Shooting Star Press, but Swagger knocked him down. Swagger picked him up from there and drilled him with a powerbomb, but Bourne kicked out. Swagger was shocked and upset, so he picked him up and hit his gutwrench powerbomb to win the title.
Winner and NEW Television Champion: Jack Swagger (9:19) ***¼
Swagger celebrated with his new Championship. The cameras stay on his celebration for a while as the viewers must bask in his glory. That is until, the cameras cut to the back where Matt Hardy and Elijah Burke are fighting. They are being separated by security. Hardy breaks free and attacks Burke once again but the show fades to black.

Like the idea of blood on Hornswoggle, and Thorn/Gangrel make for a good pairing. Burke-Hardy in a rematch makes sense, and an added stip is good. Figure Burke will win and Hardy will maybe go to a new show. HBK-Dreamer is a cool match, and it's acceptable having HBK on ECW if he's just going to wrestle on every show as part of his farewell tour. I can't say I liked HBK not being in the main event though. If he was going to wrestle on ECW, it'd be in the main event. Swagger winning was good, and maybe Burke/Bourne down the line? Pretty good show for ECW standards.

- Thorn/Gangrel as a tag team or whatever is a thumbs up from me. - Burke/Hardy rematch at Backlash should be a fun read, esp. with the extreme rules stip. added. - HBK really should have main evented. - I like the title change, and i wonder if Bourne is next in line to battle Burke. - Good show.

Very good show. I agree with HBK should have main evented ECW. Burke and Hardy should be good, nice to see it wasn't a fast throw away feud. A little iffy on Swagger winning, but if it means Bourne/Burke matches I'm all for it.

Due to the fact that I've missed out on a lot lately, I decided to go back to read your WM results. CM Punk retaining the Intercontinental Championship is nice, but I'd like to see Burchill grab it off of him eventually. Everyone seems to be giving the tag straps to Smith and Wilson lately. I would have rather seen you go in a different direction, but whatever. I'd love to see Shelton Benjamin win MITB in real life, as well. Great choice there. I expected Michaels to beat JBL. Burke winning the ECW Championship is terrific. I love Edge as a wrestler, but I have never found him all that entertaining as champion. I'm enjoying Jeff's push so far. I would have been angry if you ruined the Undertaker's undefeated streak. Finally, Randy Orton winning the World Heavyweight Championship was brilliant. I can't wait for the "Age of Orton" to begin again.

Smackdown 4/10/09 Preview-Last Sunday at WrestleMania XXV, WWE Champion Jeff Hardy retained his title against Edge in a fantastic match. We don't know where Jeff goes next, but Edge seems to have issues with our General Manager Shane McMahon. It's gotten to the point of tonight's main event being Kane & Edge taking on The Undertaker and Shane McMahon! -Also at WrestleMania, Triple H defeated Umaga in a hellacious Hell in a Cell match. Neither man will be at Smackdown this week as they will be healing their injuries. Plus, The New Hart Foundation won the WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania and they will defend them against the former champions Carlito & Primo this week! -Plus, Shelton Benjamin pulled away with the Money in the Bank Briefcase at WrestleMania XXV, pulling victory away from MVP. This week, Benjamin will go one on one with Mr. Kennedy, who has promised to take the briefcase from whoever won it. Tune into My Network TV at 8PM for all this and more!!

April 10th, 2009 Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, Alabama Attendance: 10,005
This week’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown begins like ECW and Raw did this week. It shows a video package of the events that took place at WrestleMania. It first shows The New Hart Foundation winning the WWE Tag Team Championship. Next, it cuts to Shelton Benjamin winning this year’s Money in the Bank match. That’s followed by Triple H defeating Umaga in a Hell in Cell. Next it cuts to the Undertaker extending his WrestleMania streak to 17-0 by beating his brother. Lastly, it shows Jeff Hardy retain the WWE Championship over Edge!
Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to Smackdown! They remind us that WrestleMania was a great show and plug tonight’s main event, which will involve Shawn Michaels! He’s 1-1 on his farewell tour so far and somebody from the Smackdown roster will sign his open contract tonight. Plus, Edge will team with demonic Kane to take on The Undertaker and get this, Shane McMahon!
“Ain’t No Stopping Me” hits over the loud speakers as Mr. Money in the Bank, Shelton Benjamin makes his way to the ring. He gets in the ring and begins to boast about his Money in the Bank victory. He says that the Gold Standard is one step closer to his destiny. Whenever he chooses to cash in his title shot, he will get the “mother load” that he desires. He is cut off by MVP’s theme song. He comes out with Eve by his side to a huge pop from the crowd. MVP gets in the ring and does congratulate Benjamin, saying that he did win fair and square at ‘Mania. Next, he says that although Benjamin did win fairly, MVP was centimeters away from victory at the last minute and he would like to face Benjamin with that briefcase on the line. At first Benjamin declines but out comes Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy says that he’s been talking about taking on the Money in the Bank winner for the briefcase for weeks now and that he should get the first shot. Benjamin tells them that neither one of them deserves a shot, but he is cut off by Shane McMahon and Vickie on the titantron. Both GMs announce that a match for the Money in the Bank briefcase would be good business. So, in three weeks at Backlash, Shelton Benjamin will defend his Money in the Bank briefcase against MVP and Mr. Kennedy in a Triple Threat match. Benjamin did not look happy at this news as we cut to commercial.
Commercial Break.
WWE Tag Team Championship The New Hart Foundation (c) w/ Natalya Neidhart vs. Carlito & Primo
Before the match, the Hart Foundation got on the microphone and talked about how WrestleMania was a clean sweep for them. They then said that it’s their destiny to hold these titles for a long time. Onto the match, which was very good, Carlito and Primo started out hot. Eventually though, they cooled off which allowed the Foundation to take over. TJ Wilson nailed Primo with his springboard elbow, and then tagged in Smith who drilled him with a Brainbuster. Wilson knocked Carlito off the apron which allowed victory.
Winners and Still WWE Tag Team Champions: The New Hart Foundation (5:46) **½
In the back we see the WWE Champion Jeff Hardy walking. He stops and looks to the side, where he sees Shawn Michaels’ open contract for the night. Jeff takes the pen and signs it as the crowd goes nuts.
Commercial Break.
As we return from commercial, Shane McMahon is seen in his office talking on the phone. He tells the person on the phone not to worry and that if he doesn’t get what he wants in his match tonight; he’ll make the announcement next week. He then tells the person not to worry once again and before he hangs up he says “bye, sis.”
Tag Team Match United States Champion Hurricane Helms & R-Truth vs. The Brian Kendrick & Ezekiel Jackson
While this wasn’t as good as the previous tag team match, it was still decent. Kendrick played the perfect cowardly heel act here as he would only want a piece of Helms after Ezekiel has done the work. They did this until Helms managed to get the upper hand on Kendrick and nail him with the Nightmare on Helms Street but Ezekiel broke up the count. Helms went after Zeke, but Kendrick hit him with a low blow which caused a DQ.
Winners by DQ: United States Champion Hurricane Helms & R-Truth (5:17) **
After the match, Kendrick & Zeke began to beat on Helms, but R-Truth attempted to help. It didn’t work as Ezekiel made quick work of him and they continued to put the boots to the United States Champion. Kendrick grabbed the United States Title and held it in the air.
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Shelton Benjamin vs. Mr. Kennedy
It seems as if Kennedy’s heel turn has stopped as he worked as the face in this one and had the crowd behind him. Benjamin took control for the most part but Kennedy kept fighting back. Benjamin hit the Exploder but Kennedy kicked out at the last second. Kennedy came back and even managed to nail the Green Bay Plunge but Benjamin got his foot on the rope. Kennedy picked him up but from out of nowhere, Shelton hit the Paydirt.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin (7:17) ***
Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Edge & Kane w/ Paul Bearer vs. The Undertaker & Shane McMahon
This wasn’t as good as it could’ve been. For some reason it just didn’t click. Edge & Kane smartly worked over Shane who eventually made the hot tag to The Undertaker. He came in and cleaned house even knocking Bearer off the apron. He went toe to toe with his brother in the middle of the ring for a few with both men trading fists. Edge ran in and nailed Shane with a Spear while he was on the apron, kind of like he did to Foley at WM22, but without the flaming table. Kane got the better of his brother and put him away with a tombstone following a shot with the urn.
Winners: Edge & Kane (8:46) **¼
After the match, officials were checking on Shane who looked to be broken in half. We then cut to the back where Shelton Benjamin is being interviewed. He says that what we witnessed tonight when he beat Mr. Kennedy is the same thing we’re going to see at Backlash and the same thing we saw at WrestleMania. “The Gold Standard” standing tall.
Commercial Break.
We return and see Paul Bearer talking with Kane in a dark room in the back. Bearer was telling him that now that he has beaten his brother he can move onto something bigger at the moment. Kane nods his head in approval.
Divas Match Gail Kim vs. Michelle McCool
These two turned in a fine performance as they both want their hands on the Divas Championship. Speaking of which, the current Divas Champion, Natalya, was on commentary during the match. McCool held the advantage by using her power advantage but Kim fought back when she hit a big flying head scissors. Kim finished it off by hitting the Happy Ending.
Winner: Gail Kim (5:12) **
Kim stared down the Divas Champion as Natalya raised her belt and we cut to the back. We now see Shawn Michaels and the WWE Champion, Jeff Hardy walking to the arena on a split-screen. Our main event is next!
Commercial Break.
Non-Title Singles Match WWE Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels
This turned out to be an excellent match as Jeff continues to turn in good matches as Champion. Michaels was his usual great self as well. This featured great spots from both men, including Jeff’s Whisper in the Winds and Michaels’ flying elbow off the top. At one point, Michaels locked in his modified Figure Four but Jeff managed to reach the ropes. He managed to hit a piledriver on Jeff as well but he kicked out. Jeff nailed him with the Hardyiac Arrest dropkick in the corner and followed that up with an enziguri. In the end, Jeff went for the Twist of Fate, but suddenly, fire blasts out of the turnbuckles and the entranceway as Kane makes his way down the ramp. Jeff drops Michaels as Kane goes to get in the ring. Kane gets on the apron and Jeff runs and dropkicks him off. Jeff turns back to Michaels and went for the Twist of Fate again, but Michaels backed out and drilled him with Sweet Chin Music.
Winner: Shawn Michaels (14:18) ****
Michaels rolled out of the ring and Kane got in and dropped Jeff with a Tombstone. Michaels noticed this and got back in the ring and went to attack Kane, but the Big Red Machine dropped him with a Chokeslam as well. He did his trademark taunt and fire came out of the turnbuckles as we fade to black.

Wow great SmackDown! I like the idea of HBK fighting every show but I don't like the idea of him Retiring. I'm not sure that Undertaker is finished with Kane yet but your certainly giving Kane the main event Push he deserves. I don't think that Benjamin will lose his briefcase this quick, I sounds like an okay match but im not entirely keen on it. I also think that we saw Shelton way too much in that show. Im predicting Edge vs Shane at Backlash. Great Diary so far i've had fun reading it.

Can't say I like the idea of Shelton defending the MITB briefcase. I know it's happened in real life but there were different circumstances. And it's not a title belt or anything. Fine tag title win to put over the new champs. Hoping someone takes the belt at some point from Helms. Glad Shelton picked up the win in his match. Really surprised that tag match didn't end the show. But finishing the Kane/Taker feud may be a good thing. Ok stuff with the divas there. Good way to get out of Hardy jobbing clean. A Hardy/Kane feud sounds pretty interesting. I like that you are building Kane back up.

-Expect some upper mid-carders to be pushed after the draft. People like MVP, CM Punk, Shelton Benjamin & Mr. Kennedy. Either those superstars will be moved in the draft or get a push on their current show when somebody else moves and opens a spot for them. Also, the WWE has changed their minds about Mr. Kennedy's heel turn. They will keep as a face for the time being.
-Gangrel's return to the WWE will not be in a wrestling role. He will be in a manager role to Kevin Thorn and his minions.
-Expect Jeff Hardy/Kane at Backlash. Management feels that it's a really fresh feud, but it won't last long as one of these two is expected to move in the draft.
-The Big Show should be making his return sometime around The Great American Bash. He should be involved in a match then and he will most likely be a face.

Even although I do not like Shelton as the MITB holder, I don't like him defending it so soon. Fantastic to see Kendrick getting a push towards the U.S title. I was surprised that the tag match didn't main event. Gail/Natalya should be great. I like the idea of HBK wrestling on each show, and building Kane up is great.

Raw 4/13/09 Preview-Last week on Raw, it was announced that at Backlash, Randy Orton would be defending his World Championship against John Cena. This week on Raw, Cena will get some payback on the man who was most directly responsible for his loss at WrestleMania, Ted Dibiase Jr. Can Dibiase pull out the biggest win of his career? Or will Cena settle his score with the Legacy member? -After losing to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania, John "Bradshaw" Layfield was looking for a new client. He made his intentions clear last week. He wants CM Punk. But what's not clear is why he asked Mr. McMahon and Stephanie to put Punk in a WrestleMania rematch with Paul Burchill, for the Intercontinental Title again. Will we get answers tonight? Can Punk retain again? Or will "The Ripper" walk out of Atlanta as the new Intercontinental Champion? -Batista will be out of action for over a month thanks to a henious attack at the hands of Chris Jericho last week. During that attack, Jericho also nailed Mysterio with a steel chair. This week, Chris Jericho will team with JBL to take on Mysterio & Kofi Kingston. Kingston doesn't like that JBL has taken an interest in his friend, CM Punk and he wants to put a stop to anything before it even begins. Will Rey & Kofi get their vengeance? Or will Jericho & JBL continue their ruthless ways? -Plus, Shawn Michaels will have another open contract this week. Who will step up to the plate? Tune into the USA Network at 9PM for all this and so much more!

- i like that Benjamin got his own opening segment interview. A triple threat match for MITB sounds cool to me. - Good title defense for Hart Foundation. - I love that fact that Benjamin won clean over Kennedy. - Glad to see Kane pin Taker, even if it wasn't clean. - Fantastic main event between Hardy/HBK. I also like that your going in a Kane/Hardy feud, it seems. That could be fun if done right. - Very good show.

April 13th, 2009 Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia Attendance: 17,669
Raw kicks off with a video package highlighting last week’s events. It starts with Shawn Michaels’ announcement of his retirement and last match at Backlash. Then the announcement that new World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton would be facing former champion John Cena at Backlash as well. It ends with highlights of the main event last week, which was John Cena taking on HBK, and it showed Orton’s involvement in the match.
Our announce team of Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to tonight’s edition of Raw. They hype up tonight’s main event, which features John Cena taking on a man who played a major role in his title loss at WrestleMania, Ted Dibiase Jr.! Also tonight, CM Punk will defend his Intercontinental Title against Paul Burchill at the request of JBL. Plus, we will find out who answers Shawn Michaels’ open contract this week.
Randy Orton’s theme music hits as our World Champion makes his way to the ring with the rest of Legacy following. He gets on the microphone and cuts a promo about his upcoming with Cena at Backlash. He hypes it up and says that he’s going to once again pin him in the middle of the ring and prove that he’s easily the better man. He then passes the microphone over to Cody Rhodes. Rhodes announces that he has signed Shawn Michaels’ open contract and said that he will take out HBK on his farewell tour and prove just how good he is. Dibiase takes the mic now and begins to talk about how he waited to strike at the right moment and it led to helping his leader win the World Title. He promises to take out Cena tonight before he can even get to Backlash. This brings out Cena who gets in the ring and just tries to brawl with Legacy, despite the uneven odds. He held his own but the numbers disadvantage wore him down until Shawn Michaels came down with a chair to make the save. Legacy left the ring and went up the ramp while Michaels checked on Cena.
Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Kofi Kingston & Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho & John “Bradshaw” Layfield
Tensions were running high in this one but it was your basic tag team match. JBL & Jericho dominated Kofi for the better part of the match until Rey came in and hit some big offensive moves. He took control for a while until JBL nailed him with a fallaway slam. He tagged in Jericho, who nailed him with the Lionsault but only got a two count. Eventually, Jericho ended it with a Codebreaker onto Kofi.
Winners: Chris Jericho & John "Bradshaw" Layfield(6:56) **½
After the match JBL calmly left up the ramp, but Jericho grabbed a chair. He went after Mysterio, who ducked the chair shot and nailed Jericho with a dropkick that sent him to the outside. Rey grabbed a microphone and told Jericho that he was upset for what he did to his friend, Batista. Rey challenged Jericho to a match at Backlash so that he can get revenge for Batista. Jericho nodded his head in agreement.
Commercial Break.
As we come back, we see Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix backstage. They talk about tonight’s Divas Battle Royal to crown a number one contender for Beth’s Title. She mentions pretty much every Diva in the match and how she’s beaten them all.
Divas Battle Royal Candice Michelle vs. Jillian Hall vs. Katie Lea Burchill vs. Kelly Kelly vs. Layla vs. Melina vs. Mickie James
This was your basic Divas battle royal. It didn’t feature great wrestling or anything special like that. Layla was first to go out courtesy of Mickie. Candice & Jillian were next out. This left Kelly, Mickie, Melina & Katie Lea as the final four. The four women battled until Melina ran at Katie Lea and she ducked down and sent her over. At this point, Beth Phoenix ran down and took out all three girls and sent them over the top. She posed in the middle of the ring.
Winner: Kelly Kelly (5:15) *½
Beth is surprised to hear that Kelly won the match and started yelling at the referee. He explained that Beth threw out the final three women, but tossed Kelly over last, making her the winner. Beth went to the outside and hit Kelly with the Glam Slam out there.
In the back we now see CM Punk walking to the ring area for his Intercontinental Title match. He’s stopped by JBL who tells him good luck out there. He asks Punk to once again reconsider his offer but Punk once again tells him no way.
Commercial Break.
Intercontinental Championship CM Punk (c) vs. Paul Burchill
Katie Lea was absent from her brother’s side thanks to the match she just had. These two turned in another quality match as the Intercontinental Title competition has really heated up in ’09. Punk began as the aggressor as he seemed to be trying to end this match early by going for the GTS but Burchill got out of it. After some more back and forth action, Burchill managed to hit the Curb Stomp but Punk surprised everybody when he kicked out. Burchill picked up Punk for the C4, but Punk elbowed out of it and picked him and nailed the GTS, but when he picked up Burchill, the referee got nailed. Punk covered but nobody was there to count. JBL ran down and dropped Punk with the Clothesline from Hell. He revived the referee and Burchill. When he got up, Burchill hit another Curb Stomp for the victory.
Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Paul Burchill (10:03) ***
Katie Lea came out to celebrate with her brother while JBL got in the ring and looked down at Punk screaming that he should’ve taken the offer.
Commercial Break.
We return to see highlights of what just occurred between CM Punk, Paul Burchill and JBL. We cut to the back where we see The Technicians enter Stephanie & Vince’s office. They say that they want a title shot, but Vince tells them they need to earn it with more victories. They promised victory tonight and say that they’re going to win those World Tag Team Titles soon, which got a good crowd reaction.
Singles Match Cody Rhodes w/ Ted Dibiase Jr. vs. Shawn Michaels
These two went at it a week before the Elimination Chamber back in February and it was a great match, and so was tonight’s. Michaels worked over Cody easily at the start and showed Cody that he was the veteran and wasn’t going to just lay down for him. Cody managed to take control and hit a beautiful moonsault, but only got a two count. He went for his finisher but Michaels backed him into a corner and went for Sweet Chin Music, which was how he won back in February, but Cody ducked out of the way. Eventually, Michaels managed to pull out the win with a Sweet Chin Music from out of nowhere after both men were down for about a seven count.
Winner: Shawn Michaels (9:28) ***¼

We return from commercial and see Mr. McMahon and Stephanie in their office. They’re talking about Backlash when in comes CM Punk. He says that he was screwed out of the Intercontinental Title tonight by JBL. Vince says that he agrees that JBL played a part in Punk losing the Title and says that if Punk wants he can have his rematch next week. Punk says that he wants his hands on JBL instead. Vince thinks about it and says that he’ll give him an answer next week. After Punk leaves, Stephanie whispers something to her dad, which he seems to like and he tells her that it’s a good idea.
Tag Team Match Mike Knox & William Regal w/ Layla vs. The Technicians
The Technicians were without Kelly Kelly who was attacked by Beth Phoenix earlier tonight but that didn’t matter one bit as they took it to their opponents. Although, Knox did have some points that he had control because of his power, it didn’t stop Haas from locking him into a submission. The end came when Noble pinned Regal after hitting a Tiger Driver.
Winners: The Technicians (5:24) **¼
After the match, John Morrison and The Miz made their way to the ring and attacked Haas and Noble. They nailed both of them with their finishers and stood over them holding up their Tag Titles and Slammy Awards.

Singles Match John Cena vs. Ted Dibiase w/ Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes
Dibiase looked very good in his first singles match since his return and looked like he could hang with Raw’s top dogs. Cena was on his game as well and early in the match, locked Dibiase in the STFU but he got to the ropes. Dibiase went for his Million Dollar Dream Leg Sweep but Cena grabbed the top rope and Dibiase went down on his own. Cena nailed him with a shoulder block when he got up and followed that up with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Rhodes attempted to get involved but Cena hit him with the FU. Cena stared at Orton as he picked up Dibiase and dropped him with another FU. He continued to stare down Orton as he covered for the win.
Winner: John Cena (8:08) ***
The show ended with Cena staring down Orton, who looked pissed. Rhodes grabs Cena’s leg, which made him take his attention off of Orton. Orton took that opportunity to run in and attack Cena. Legacy beat down on the former Champion and Orton nailed him with the World Title to finish it off.
