Smackdown 8/14/09 Preview-Last week, Jeff Hardy and Edge battled it out to determine who would join the Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam. That match ended in a double count out, which led to our General Managers, Vickie Guerrero & Stephanie McMahon announcing that at SummerSlam, CM Punk would defend his title against Randy Orton, Edge & Jeff Hardy in a Fatal Four Way match. Tonight, Punk will team with Hardy to take on the reformation, for one night only, of Rated RKO! Can Edge & Orton co-exist like they did during Rated RKO's prime run? -Vickie Guerrero is at it again. She has used her power to put The Big Show, who turned his back on her when he returned, in a handicap match. Show will take on Shelton Benjamin and Umaga in what looks to be a rough night for the World's Largest Athlete. Also, Chris Jericho and The Undertaker are on a collision course to a Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam. Both men will be at the arena, but neither one is booked to wrestle. Will they meet face to face once again? -Ever since Night of Champions back at the end of June, Kofi Kingston has had a stranglehold on the United States Championship. He has turned back any and all challengers, but his most recent challenge looks to be his toughest. John Morrison has been targeting the Champ and after pinning him in tag team action last week, he has been granted a United States Title shot tonight! Can Kofi retain his gold once again? Or will Morrison take the next big step in his promising career? See all this and a whole lot more by tuning into MyNetwork TV tonight at 8:00PM!

The opening segment of ECW was fine by me. I'm all for a Tyler Black push, and putting him over Gangrel is fine. The team of Dolph Ziggler and The Miz is all kinds of epic. I just hope they both become single stars soon, though. Alicia Fox is also awesome, but it sucks that Gavin Spears is jobbing now. I hope that was just a one off. I love Rey Mysterio on ECW. Huge win for Jack Swagger. ESCOBAR! <3 Main event was decent at best. I'm loving the push of Kevin Thorn. Overall, a nice show, Kev. Please drop a reply to WCW 2001.

August 14th, 2009 Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon Attendance: 16,720
Smackdown, as usual, opens with a video package showing the end of the Edge/Jeff Hardy match last week. Next it shows CM Punk retain the World Heavyweight Championship against Umaga. It then shows the announcement of the Fatal Four Way match at SummerSlam and it ends when Randy Orton attempted to attack CM Punk, only to be nailed with the Go 2 Sleep![ALL SUPERSTARS' NAMES ARE STILL CLICKABLE AND WILL LINK YOU TO THEIR TITANTRON/THEME MUSIC]Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to the show following the pyrotechnics display and they get the audience pumped for tonight’s huge show. Our main event will be a big tag team match, we will also see a handicap match, Chris Jericho & The Undertaker are both in the building and we will witness the United States Championship being put on the line. They are cut off by the theme of Chris Jericho. He gets in the ring and begins to hype up the upcoming Hell in a Cell match he has with The Undertaker. He says that he has been locked inside the Cell before and he’s no stranger to it. He also mentions that being inside with ‘Taker himself is no problem because he is not afraid of him in anyway. He’s beaten him before and he promises to beat him once again and end all this talk about ‘Taker being some unbeatable iconic figure. Jericho swears that once he done with ‘Taker, people will talk about him like that. The lights go out and when they come on, ‘Taker is in the ring with Jericho and has a microphone in hand. Jericho wonders why ‘Taker must always make a “scary” appearance. He tells him that next time he should just save himself the trouble and make a regular entrance because all of this mythical stuff doesn’t work on him. ‘Taker is just staring a hole through him. ‘Taker says that his intentions aren’t to scare Jericho, his intentions are to hurt him. With that, ‘Taker delivers a stiff punch and continues the assault knocking Jericho into the corner. Jericho managed to duck a punch and sneak out of the ring and up the ramp. ‘Taker does his throat cut signal as we head to commercial. Commercial Break. A promo is shown hyping up John Morrison, before his United States Title shot. Rumor has it that WWE will be using these random promos from time to time from now on. United States Championship Kofi Kingston (c) vs. John MorrisonThe booking team did a great job by having these two open tonight’s show. They put on a high flying encounter that kept the crowd on the edge of their seat. Kofi nailed a cross body, Jamaican leg sweep and a dropkick. Morrison answered with a super kick, back breaker and a springboard moonsault. After some back and forth action, Kofi delivered a monkey flip that had Morrison flipping through the air. Kofi waited for him to get up and went for Trouble in Paradise, but Morrison ducked. He kicked him in the stomach and nailed the Moonlight Drive. He took long to go for the cover though and when he finally did, Kofi kicked out. Morrison was in shock and he set him up for the Starship Pain, but Kofi moved out of the way. When he got up, Kofi nailed Trouble in Paradise for the win. Winner and Still United States Champion: Kofi Kingston (12:14) ***½
Commercial Break. We return straight to the General Manager’s office where Stephanie McMahon is talking with Vickie Guerrero. She tells that she had no right to put Big Show in a handicap match tonight. Vickie reminds her that she was the original Smackdown GM and she calls the shots. Stephanie says that she is the true original GM, since she was on Smackdown back in 2003. Vickie tells her to stop living in the past. She should look forward to the future, where Edge will be World Champion. Stephanie says we’ll see about that. Divas Tag Team Match Divas Champion Gail Kim & Michelle McCool vs. Maryse & Natalya NeidhartThis was your basic women’s tag match. It was kept short and mainly featured Natalya & Kim going at it. McCool got the better of Maryse when they were in the ring together, but in the end, Maryse surprised everybody when she pinned McCool after hitting the French Kiss. Winners: Maryse & Natalya Neidhart (5:17) **In the back, Josh Matthews is standing by with World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk. He asks Punk about teaming with one of the top threats to his Championship tonight. Punk agrees that Hardy is a big threat to his title, but mentions that he trusts Hardy and knows that he & Hardy are the two guys in the SummerSlam match who don’t use underhanded tactics to get win. He said that they will spoil Rated RKO’s reunion tonight!Commercial Break.
Handicap Match Big Show vs. Shelton Benjamin & UmagaShow held his own in this one as expected. He held a big advantage when he was against Shelton early on, but Umaga evened it out when he came in. Shelton was eager to get back in the ring after Show was down and he worked him over, until Show hooked him for the Cobra Clutch back breaker. Umaga ran in, but Show dropped Shelton and he caught Umaga with a chokeslam. That allowed Shelton to roll Show up from behind and gain the victory. Winners: Shelton Benjamin & Umaga (10:01) **½Benjamin celebrated as he has just pinned the Big Show. Stephanie McMahon’s music hits as she comes to the stage. She said that she didn’t agree with Vickie’s decision to make this match, but her hands were tied with it. So, she feels like she owes Big Show something. At SummerSlam, Big Show will go one on one with Shelton Benjamin in a Knockout Match! The only way to win is to knock your opponent out for a ten count. Show is smiling as he gets up in the ring, while Shelton looks on, upset.Commercial Break. When we return, Josh Matthews catches up with Shelton Benjamin. He asks him about his feelings towards his Knockout match at SummerSlam. Benjamin looks at him as if he’s stupid and then lays him out with a stiff right hand and walks away.Singles Match Sheamus O’Shaunessy w/ Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Harry Smith w/ TJ Wilson & Natalya NeidhartAs expected, this was a straight up fight as it was contested between the two brawlers of the teams. Smith, being the better wrestler, controlled the match throughout, but Sheamus used his strength to take advantage late. He went for his Choke Bomb, but Smith blocked it and hoisted him up for the Running Powerslam. Sheamus wriggled out of it, got behind him, turned him around and hit the Choke Bomb anyway for the victory. Winner: Sheamus O’Shaunessy (7:09) **¼The cameras cut to show Edge warming up when Randy Orton comes up to him. They stare each other down until Orton says that after how Rated RKO ended last time, they probably won’t be friends again, but they can work together like a well oiled machine. Edge agrees and says that if they can take out Punk and Hardy tonight, the World Title match at SummerSlam can come down to them two. Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk & Jeff Hardy vs. Edge & Randy OrtonJust like we expect from their SummerSlam match, this was excellent. It got a lot of time and started with all four men tagging in and out and getting to showcase their skills. After a while though, Rated RKO took control and worked over Hardy. They used a few double team moves and some quick tags, until Jeff nailed Edge with his variation of an enziguri. He made the tag and Punk came in and took out both of his opponents. Punk continued to dominate for a while. In the end, he hoisted Orton up for the Go 2 Sleep, but Edge blind tagged himself in moments before. He ran in and Speared Punk. Orton knocked Hardy off the apron as Edge picked up the clean victory. Winners: Edge & Randy Orton (15:21) ***½Edge and Orton celebrated the win, but Edge suddenly Speared Orton from out of nowhere. Edge screamed in his face that nobody will stop his quest for his World Championship. He gets up and raises his arms in the air.© WWE 2009

WWE SmackDown: Friday 14th August 2009...Nice opening promo with Chris Jericho trying to expose The Undertaker as a phoney. Really well done, because next to nobody believes The Undertaker is really a deadman, not even 50% of the marks. You should start bring 'Taker into a real life sort of person. Not so much American Badass style, but with that style of attitude. Just without the stereotyped biker gimmick. Either way, in this feud with Jericho and The Undertaker, I still cannot see it being Hell in a Cell match worthy. Maybe a gimmick match for SummerSlam, just not Hell in a Cell. Fantastic opening contest with Kofi Kingston taking on John Morrison. I feel Morrison could have easily picked up the WWE United States Champion there, but it's fine if you're building Morrison above that limit. Maryse and Natalya beating Gail Kim and Michelle McCool is fine, seemed like a typical womens match, and SmackDown has the better chance of putting on a better show with their divas than RAW. The handicap match was nice, and Umaga with Big Show is a really interesting feud, wouldn't be too good in the ring, but would be pay-per-view worthy for like Unforgiven. Shelton Benjamin I hope can keep mounting and climbing the card, als.o. Rated RKO against CM Punk and Jeff Hardy sounds great. Nothing too special of a match there between Sheamus and DH Smith, though. It's a lacklustre feud in my opinion. Great tag team main event with Rated RKO reuniting and winning. Liked Edge attacking Randy Orton at the end, sets up for the World Heavyweight Championship fatal-four-way match at SummerSlam. A decent show overall.

WWE Smackdown! Jericho/Undertaker opening segment was cool man. Kofi retaining against Morrison is fine but I love Morrison so I'd like to see him do... alot. Stephanie/Vickie thing is alright I suppose. Stephanie/Vickie rivalry is cool. Not too bothered either way about the divas match. Maryse + Natalya winning is fine I suppose.Rated RKO vs Punk + Jeff? Cool man... Shelton and Umaga? is that not a bit of a random team lol. Bit surprised Show lost actually... not sure what youll do with it. Show vs Shelton? meh. We'll see... Good ol' Josh Matthews lol. Nice one Shelton. Sheamus > Harry Smith is fine I suppose. I like both of these teams in a way so that match seemed cool. Rated RKO beating Jeff and Punk again is fine. I love Edge turning on orton at the end dude it was VERY cool. Summerslam should rock

A solid opening segment to help develop Chris Jericho versus Undertaker and that is good. This feud has been outstanding and I am looking forward to their final encounter. Kofi Kingston retaining is good and it helps the title earn some prestige. I would love to see John Morrison hunt for the title soon. I like the Big Show losing in the handicap match because it would be unbelievable for Show to win. I really hope Shelton and Umaga get a good push. Big Show versus Shelton Benjamin in a Knockout Match is neat but you could have just used Last Man Standing. Sheamus O’Shaunessy winning was smart as it makes the challengers look strong heading into their tag team championship match. The main event was outstanding and Edge and Randy Orton winning was smart. Edge spearing Orotn was random and I love it!

August 15th, 2009 Edition-The WWE has announced that they will be dropping the online Velocity show. They feel that it served its purpose for a short while, but due to a very limited amount of hits online, it has been canceled. -The WWE has also announced the release of two divas. Nikki and Brie Bella have been wished the best in their future endeavors. Meanwhile, the WWE is pleased to announce the signing of former SHIMMER and NWA Women's Champion, MsChif. She will be sent to FCW for a short while and be brought up within the next month or two. -Expect at least one or two title changes at SummerSlam. The WWE doesn't want their second biggest show of the year to pass by without some title changes. -Lastly, the WWE has the posters ready for WWE Unforgiven & WWE No Mercy. They won't be releasing the Unforgiven one yet because it spoils the main event, but the No Mercy one can be seen here and is a play on the EA Sports video game covers. [Credit for poster: Kemp]

Raw 8/17/09 Preview-Once again last week's Raw ended with an altercation between WWE Champion John Cena & MVP. The difference here was that it was MVP who nailed Cena and not vice versa. MVP connected with an unintentional big boot to his partner Cena, which cost them the match. Tonight, they must team up one final time, just six days away from their huge encounter at SummerSlam. Eric Bischoff has called ECW General Manager Teddy Long and asked for two of ECW's top dogs to face Cena & MVP. Long delivered as Ezekiel Jackson and Jack Swagger will answer the call! -"The Animal" Batista will finally get his hands on Triple H in a Street Fight this Sunday at SummerSlam. Tonight though, he will have to deal with Cabinet leader, John "Bradshaw" Layfield. Layfield will have his Cabinet around for sure, but you can bet Triple H will have a close eye on the match as well. Will The Game get involved? Or will Batista finally go a night free of his attacks? -Last week, "The Warrior" Kaval defeated Ryan Braddock and R-Truth to become the number one contender for Evan Bourne's Intercontinental Championship. Tonight, Bourne will be in non-title action against Ted Dibiase Jr., but Kaval is sure to be around. Will these two meet face to face before their showdown at SummerSlam? Tune into the USA Network tonight at 9:00PM for all of this and more!

Okay, SmackDwon, first thing is I'm not gonna be up to date to your feuds. I enjoyed the Jericho/Unertaker segment and a Hell in a Cell would be great between these two. I like the John Morrison promo being used to hype the guy, I'm a big fan of Morrison. Kofi & Morrison would be a great match I would love to see. Kofi's your U.S Champ like in WWE but a SmackDown guy. I really wished Morison won though. The Vickie Guerrero/Stephanie McMahon segment confused me. But this has probally gone on for a while. A typical Divas tag match. I like that Gail Kim is the Diva's Champion. Another great thing is that Maryse & Natayla got the win. Interesting that CM Punk trusts Jeff Hardy. Seeing as in real life they had a brutal feud. I liked that Shelton Benjamin & Umaga beat the Big Show. All three I believe deserve pushes. Wow a Knockout match between Big Show & Shelton Benjamin. It seems Shelton has no chance of winning unless he cheats or uses a brutl kick to Show's skull. Haha Josh Matthews got a right from Shelton. I'm not use to Sheamus' work but its interesting that he's teaming up with Finlay and against DH Smith & Tyson Kidd. Also interesting they are WWE Tag Team Champions. Good segment between Edge & Randy Orton its also good to see Rated RKO team up. I enjoyed the Tag Team main event. How Orton & Edge won seemed so realistic. Over all a great show. Also your Summer Slam card looks great. I just don't know Kaval and never seen Sheamus wrestle. Ohh the Bella Twins have been released.

Raw kicks off with the weekly opening video package. This one shows MVP come out last week and call out John Cena for attacking him the previous two weeks, even though they were both by mistake. It showed Cena come out to confront him and then the video ended after showing MVP deliver an accidental big boot to Cena’s face in last week’s main event. The opening fireworks go off and then Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to a jam packed edition of Raw. They remind us that we are just six days away from the “Biggest Party of the Summer” and a huge WWE Championship match between John Cena & MVP. Now, they hype up tonight’s main event, which features MVP & Cena teaming up again, this time to face two of ECW’s top threats, Jack Swagger & Ezekiel Jackson.WWE Champion John Cena’s theme music hits as he makes his way to the ring. He gets in and talks about how MVP came out last week and called him out for accidentally hitting him the past few weeks. He shows us the footage of that. Then he says MVP didn’t like it, but then goes out and does it himself. He now shows the clip of MVP’s big boot from last week. Cena calls MVP down to the ring and he comes rather quickly. He tells Cena that he admits what he did was a mistake last week, but he doesn’t really regret it because he owed it to Cena. He mentions again, that while they respect each other, they don’t have to be friends. Cena reminds him that they must team up again tonight. MVP says that’s fine, and for Cena to make sure no “accidents” happen tonight. Cena stops him before he leaves and tells him that he better make sure no “accidents” happen on his side either. Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match Intercontinental Champion Evan Bourne vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. w/ World Tag Team Champions LegacyThis stemmed out from Bourne having a victory over each member of Legacy. Kaval was on commentary during the match and it was rather akward with his way of speaking. The match itself was good, just like their series over the belt. They went back and forth for a while until Rhodes attempted to interfere. That made Kaval get up and nail him with a stiff kick and he then nailed Henning with one. Bourne watched as his SummerSlam opponent helped him out, but Dibiase caught him from behind and nailed the Dream Street for the win. Winner: Ted Dibiase Jr. (9:28) ***After the match Kaval got in the ring with the Intercontinental Title. He helped Bourne up and checked on him. Bourne reached for the belt, but Kaval wouldn’t give it to him. Instead, he cracked it off Bourne’s skull and raised the belt in the air. The crowd was not pleased with Kaval's change of attitude.Commercial Break.Divas Match Mickie James vs. Layla London w/ The British AllianceJust like their match two weeks ago, James carried it due to Layla’s lack of wrestling ability. This week though, Layla did manage to do a little better and get in more offense. James took over though and hit the Mick-DT. As she was getting up, William Regal ran in and nailed her with the Knee Trembler. Winner by Disqualification: Mickie James (5:26) **The announcers were appauled at the audacity of Regal. They say how disgusting what he did was. Katie then hits James with the Curb Stomp to add insult to injury.Commercial Break. When we return the cameras show Mickie James being helped to the back by the referees as she looked really banged up after that assault she just suffered.
In the back, Eric Bischoff is in his office with Sean Morley, Jack Swagger and Ezekiel Jackson. Bischoff tells them that he wanted to see his SummerSlam main event opponents team up once again because it makes for good TV and he needed opponents for them so he had Morley call Teddy Long and Long sent them. Swagger says that it’s a privilege to be on Raw and that Long picked the right man because there is none better than the “All American American. Jackson doesn’t say anything and just walks off. Morley, Swagger and Bischoff wonder what his problem is.
Next we are shown another advertisement for WWE SummerSlam, which is just six days away! The announcers run down the card, hyping up the Raw matches mostly.
Now, we cut to Josh Matthews standing by with “The Game” Triple H. Before he can even ask his question, Triple H shoves him away and takes the microphone. He begins to talk about how he needs to end it all with Batista. He says he’s tired of going back and forth with him. He guarantees to defeat him once and for all this Sunday.Commercial Break.
Singles Match Batista vs. John “Bradshaw” Layfield w/ The CabinetJust as one would expect, these two brutes didn’t put on a classic. It was exactly what you’d expect it to be, a knock ‘em out fight. They came at each other with everything they had and managed to keep the crowd in it. The Cabinet interfered at one point, when Paul tripped up Batista. Batista reached over, and lifted him by his hair and leveled him. Gaspard tried to intervene but got the same treatment, as did Braddock. Candice distracted the referee as Triple H ran down. He turned Batista around and hit him with the Pedigree. JBL placed an arm over his opponent for the win. Winner: John “Bradshaw” Layfield (8:18) **¼
Commercial Break. In the back, Sean Morley is walking and he finds what he is looking for, which is the British Alliance. He tells William Regal that he & Mr. Bischoff are both highly upset and offended by what he did to Mickie James earlier. He tells him that it was disgusting, heinous & just flat out wrong. But he liked that Regal showed initiative and that he was willing to do whatever it took to help his girl get the win. He shakes Regal’s hand as Regal looks on confused at Morley’s intentions.Tag Team Match Jayson Paul & Shad Gaspard w/ Candice Michelle vs. The Technicians w/ Kelly KellyThis turned out to be a decent tag team match, with the Technicians being the better of the two. They were coming off a victory last week, but that didn’t matter to Paul and Gaspard who picked up a rare clean victory for the Cabinet after nailing their G9 finisher on Noble. Winners: Jayson Paul & Shad Gaspard (7:01) **¼Now we cut to our final shot backstage as MVP is seen walking with Eve towards the arena as the main event is next!Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Ezekiel Jackson & Jack Swagger vs. WWE Champion John Cena & MVP w/ EveSurprisingly, Cena and MVP worked as a well oiled machine in this one. They used frequent tags early on to keep control of the match. Eventually though, the ECW stars began to work over MVP and cut the ring in half. MVP was getting dominated until he ducked a clothesline from Swagger and made the tag. Cena came in on fire and even managed to knock Jackson down after three shoulder blocks. He then hoisted up the big man for the FU but Swagger broke it up. He went for the Gutwrench Power Bomb, but MVP ran in and delivered a big boot. That allowed Cena to then nail Swagger with the FU for the win. Winners: WWE Champion John Cena & MVP (11:18) ***After the match, MVP went outside and grabbed the WWE Title. He brought it in the ring and had a stare down with Cena. He placed the belt on Cena’s shoulder, then tapped it and said six days. They continued the stare down as the show went off the air.© WWE 2009

Smackdown!: Awesome Opening segement, I really believe that Jericho is not scared. HIAC will be awesome! Morrison losing sucks badly for me especially with the promo since I'm a HUGE Morrison mark. Sounded like a good match. Good win for Maryse and Natalya, rooting for Maryse to pick up the title some time.Great promo from Punk. Sometimes I forget he's face. That handicap sucks for Big Show but its great booking. Show vs Benjamin in a Knockout match sounds cool. Show ftw. Wow a right hand to Matthews made me have to read it again. lol. Good way to get heat. Sheamus winnign makes sense as it builds momentum. Rated RKO an Olied machine hell yeah! Really great main event with RR getting the victory. Which works. Now CM Punk can retain at SS. Edge spearing Orton is a nice twist Kev! Great show now onto RAW....
Oh WO first. velocity being dropped sucks but it was something that needed to be done. Bella's getting released makes sense but its a shame you couldn't get a feud involving them going. Don't know MisChif but oh well she sounds good if shes been a SHIMMER champ. Title changes! Can't view the poster atm internet is down as I'm writing this, I'm only on Page 46 of your thread because if I click anything else I'll lose it. Now RAW...
RAW preview... Not sure on Zeke and Swagger vs Cena and MVP. They don't seem to be at MVP and Cena's level. JBL vs Batista I don't really care for but its great booking. expecting Batista to pull out a win. DiBiase vs Bourne? Nice. Can't see this ending cleanly.
Monday Night RAW! Another Cena/MVP Opening Sgement? It was good but they are coming every show lol. DiBiase getting the win is good but surprising. The finish was not totally clean though. Kaval Heel turn makes this awesome. Nice James' video. :-o Knee trembler to Mickie!? how dare he. Freaking hell that was...unexpected. That promo with Triple H adds to the feud somehow. Wow and again a surprise victory. This time for JBL. 'Just as one would expect, these two brutes didn’t put on a classic.' HAHA. Ace that the finish was dirt though. Whats wrong with Morley? He's confusing me. The Technicians have just been demoted lower and lower since losing the titles. Great wins for the cabinet tonight. Happy that Cena and MVP won in the main event. lol. It wouldn't make sense for ECW to go over. Overall another great show.
Two awesome shows Kev but I overall prefered SmackDown!

WWE RAW: Monday 17th August 2009...A decent opening promo to kick off RAW this week as usual with John Cena coming out and discussing the tension he's had and the match he's having with Montel Vontavious Porter at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship. Thing is, I can't see Cena and MVP facing Ezekiel Jackson and Jack Swagger a solid RAW main event in any way, just can't see it. Anyways, great opening contest to start us off on RAW here tonight with Ted Dibiase beating Evan Bourne. I think it'd be alright for Dibiase to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship soon, and then start progressing towards building him up the card by like November or something. I'd love him to end up with a WWE Championship reign by WrestleMania XXVI at least. Still not feeling this thing with Kaval and Bourne, however. Nice win for Mickie James over Layla London, wasn't too good a match but glad Mickie carried her to a fair match. Does set Mickie up in her feud with Katie-Lea Burchill over the WWE Womens Championship. Batista and John Bradshaw Layfield had a decent first-hour main event, it wasn't too bad a contest, really. They always have somewhat decent matches. Good win for the former Cryme Tyme-turned Cabinet members, Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard over The Technicians. And lastly, predictable win for MVP and Cena over Ezekiel Jackson and Jack Swagger though it seemed alright. Liked MVP staying neutral towards Cena, I do see the crowd start booing him if he wins at SummerSlam though, a good show, much better RAW than in recent weeks.

ECW 8/18/09 Preview-Last week, ECW went off the air in some mystery. After Mr. Kennedy defeated Ezekiel Jackson via disqualification due to interference from Elijah Burke, the lights went out and when they came back on both Kennedy and Burke were covered in a bloodbath. Tonight, Mr. Kennedy won't be in action and neither will Kevin Thorn; the man who caused the bloodbath, but Burke will be going one on one with Matt Hardy, reigniting ECW's biggest rivalry of the Spring. Can Burke pick up steam heading into SummerSlam? Will Thorn and Kennedy make their presence felt? -As we've heard over the past few weeks, tonight marks the big return of Rey Mysterio! Mysterio was drafted to ECW back in April but was injured at the hands of Triple H just over a month later, causing a halt on his impact on ECW. Tonight, he returns in his hometown of San Diego, California and he will be facing an up and coming star in Dolph Ziggler! Can Mysterio begin his road to the ECW title? Or will Ziggler spoil his homecoming? -Speaking of Ziggler, his partner has a huge chance tonight. The Miz, will be getting a shot at the Television Championship. For one night at least, Champion Tyler Black will have to forget about The Brood and go out and defend his Title and keep his focus at bay. Will Black possibly overlook this match? Can The Miz taste his first singles gold in WWE? Find out all of this and more by tuning into the Sci-Fi Network tonight at 9:00PM!

This week’s video package to kick off ECW highlighted Mr. Kennedy’s main event match with Ezekiel Jackson last week. It showed how it ended in a disqualification and then showed the post match bloodbath on both Kennedy and Elijah Burke.Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to another edition of ECW. Grisham promote tonight’s main event, featuring Elijah Burke going one on one with Matt Hardy. Striker reminds us that tonight’s big story though is the return of the high-flying Rey Mysterio! He will go one on one with Dolph Ziggler tonight! But the show will begin with a Television Championship match!Television Championship Tyler Black (c) vs. The Miz w/ Miranda RodriguezMiz surprisingly kept this competitive, despite Black being obviously the better in ring worker. Rodriguez tripped up Black at one point and got kicked out, but that still allowed Miz to take control. He went for the Reality Check, but Black blocked it and nailed him with God’s Last Gift to gain the victory. Winner and Still Television Champion: Tyler Black (8:54) **Once the match ended, Hade Vansen ran right down to the ring and attacked Black. He stomped on him in the corner, then picked him up and drilled him with a Spike DDT. He stood over the Television Champion as we headed to break.Commercial Break. We return and are joined by our ECW Champion, Mr. Kennedy. He gets in the ring and the lights dim until the spotlight is on him. The microphone drops from the rafters and he begins to talk about Kevin Thorn’s choice of attack. He says that despite Elijah Burke attacking him from behind, he at least does it in view of everybody. Thorn needs to turn off the lights and cover people in blood, like that’s supposed to scare anybody. Kennedy says that it doesn’t scare him one bit. He knows that he can beat him, he proved it at The Bash and he promises to come out on top this Sunday. Kennedy ends the promo by saying that you will now and forever refer to your ECW Champion as Mr. Kennedy…Kennedy!Commercial Break. We return to see Teddy Long in the back when The Hurricane swoops in. He once again talks about the crime spree that has run roughshod through ECW as of late. He says that there is nobody better to stop the crime than himself, WWE’s resident super hero. Long tells him that he feels him and that he can start on his crime stopping next week. Hurricane flies off screen.
The announce team now hypes up this Sunday’s SummerSlam card, focusing on the ECW Championship match. They then begin to promote the Smackdown X show, celebrating Smackdown’s ten year anniversary with a special three hour broadcast in just two weeks!
Lastly, we get another hype video for the “Puerto Rican Nightmare” Eric Escobar. He again speaks about fighting for his native Puerto Rico.Commercial Break. The cameras show a promo hyping the return of Rey Mysterio…now!Singles Match Dolph Ziggler w/ Alicia Fox vs. Rey MysterioZiggler showed just why he’s considered a future star in this one. He hung tough and held his own with Mysterio throughout the entire match. They got a good amount of time and they used it right. After Mysterio’s scorching hot start, Ziggler took control and wore him down. He went for the Zig Zag, but Mysterio grabbed the ropes to hold on and Ziggler crashed and burned. Ziggler got up and ran at him, but Mysterio tripped him into a drop toe hold and then nailed the 619. He finished it off with the springboard splash. Winner: Rey Mysterio (12:41) ***¼The crowd celebrated with their hometown hero only to be cut off by the theme music of the “All-American American” Jack Swagger. Swagger comes out in a suit and stays at the top of the ramp. He sarcastically claps for Rey’s victory and then gets on the microphone. He congratulates him and then tells him that while he was off healing, Swagger was becoming ECW’s most dominant superstar. He tells Rey that he’s next in his sights. Rey motions for Swagger to come down and fight now, but Swagger shrugs it off and says that he will fight him, but on his time and terms.Commercial Break.
Singles Match Elijah Burke vs. Matt HardyThis was a rematch of the ECW Title match at WrestleMania XXV and it did not disappoint. These two still have some very good chemistry. Burke was the aggressor early on as he tried to end the match early to get as much rest before SummerSlam as he could. Hardy as always, would not die and kicked out of almost everything Burke threw at him. Eventually, Matt nailed the Side Effect and then the second rope leg drop but just got near falls. He even nailed the Twist of Fate, but Burke somehow got a shoulder up. The crowd was stunned. He went for it again, but Burke reversed it and nailed the Elijah Experience to win it. Winner: Elijah Burke (14:26) ***½Burke celebrated in the middle of the ring when Mr. Kennedy made his way to the ring. He got in and got right in Burke’s face, but before anything could happen Kevin Thorn's music hit. The vampire came down the ramp alone, showing Kennedy that he doesn’t need all of those mind games and tricks. Burke and Kennedy are staring him down when Burke nails Kennedy. He stomps on him a few times and then escapes the ring. Thorn gets in, picks up Kennedy and nails him with the Original Sin. Once he got up though, Burke ran in and nailed him with the Elijah Express into the corner. Burke walked up the ramp with his arms raised.© WWE 2009

Tyler Black retaining his TV title over The Miz makes sense; however, I do hope you continue to build up Miz. Great Mr. Kennedy promo to help further his match against Kevin Thorne and Elijah Burke. “Puerto Rican Nightmare” Eric Escobar is going to be good. Rey Mysterio over Dolph Ziggler was expected, but I hope you continue to feud the duo with Ziggler coming out on top. It seems like you are going to do Rey versus Swagger which works for me as well. Elijah Burke winning a hard fought contest against Matt hardy was solid and makes him look great going into his title match. I like Burke standing tall after the post match activity.

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 18th August 2009...I wonder what you are doing with Rey Mysterio as we are only five days away from SummerSlam and Rey Mysterio is returning tonight. Tyler Black retaining the ECW Television Championship is okay I suppose, The Miz I do hope keeps in this division. Decent promo by Mr Kennedy however I just think this should have opened up rather than have that title match on first. Hmm, great win for Rey Mysterio in his return victory over Dolph Ziggler as predicted, but to be honest, it would of been the main event in my eyes. However, good win for Elijah Burke in the main event over Matt Hardy as it was a pretty decent bout. Decent show, some things I would have done differently though, if honest. Last moment before the ECW Championship match at SummerSlam done well.

Smackdown 8/21/09 Preview-Tonight is a night of Six Man Tag matches for Smackdown. Our main event includes an epic Six Man Tag. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk will team with The Undertaker and Jeff Hardy to take on Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Edge. This gives the fans a preview of SummerSlam's Hell in a Cell match between Jericho and The Undertaker as well as a preview of the Fatal Four Way for the World Title. A match with stars of this magnitude doesn't need any hype, so we won't even give it any more. -The second Six Man Tag match of the evening will feature the Big Show teaming with the number one contender's for the WWE Tag Team Titles, Finlay & Sheamus. They will be opposed by Shelton Benjamin and our WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Hart Foundation! Just like the other Six Man Tag, this will be a preview to SummerSlam as Benjamin will meet Show in a Knockout Match and Finlay and Sheamus get their shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships. This is sure to be a wild one! -Despite all of that action already occurring on this week's Smackdown, we will also witness the United States Champion, Kofi Kingston in action. Not just any action though, as fresh off his successful Title defense last week against John Morrison, things are about to get tougher for him. Kofi must do battle with The Samoan Bulldoze tonight in non-title action. John Morrison has promised that he's not through with Kingston though, so you know he'll be nearby. See all of this and a whole lot more when you tune into MyNetwork TV tonight at 8:00PM!

August 20th, 2009 Edition-The WWE have announced plans to release a 3 Disc DVD of Chris Jericho. No word on the name of the DVD yet, but it will include 25 matches from ECW, WCW & WWE. -There is talk of having some of the WWE's big guys involved in next year's Money in the Bank. Mainly due to the fact that there might not be anything big for them heading into 'Mania. These big men might include Umaga, Big Show and possibly even Kane. -Speaking of 2010, there is already talk of who will win this year's Royal Rumble. The WWE wants somebody who has never won a Rumble before. Names going around include Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Batista, Chris Jericho and MVP. -Expect Kane to return very soon and begin a program with Batista. Their feud is expected to last until Survivor Series or Armageddon.

August 21st, 2009 San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California Attendance: 13,477
Smackdown opens with a video package highlighting the finish to last week’s show. It showed Randy Orton and Edge defeat CM Punk and Jeff Hardy, only to have Edge Spear Orton after the match.[ALL SUPERSTARS' NAMES ARE STILL CLICKABLE AND WILL LINK YOU TO THEIR TITANTRON/THEME MUSIC]Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to tonight’s broadcast. They promote tonight’s insanely huge Six Man Tag main event. They then hype up the fact that SummerSlam is a mere two days away and tonight is the final stop before it.“Coming Home” blasts on the loudspeakers as Edge makes his way to the ring. The Rated R Superstar began to talk about this Sunday’s Fatal Four Way World Title match. He said that back in January he won the Royal Rumble and got a shot at the WWE Title. He admits that he dropped the ball at WrestleMania XXV but he promises that it won’t happen again this Sunday. He says that his goal is always the World Title and he got side tracked earlier this year from it when he had to take care of Shane McMahon. Now he’s completely focused and nothing will stop him from gaining his Title. This brings out Randy Orton. He gets in the ring and questions Edge’s post match Spear last week. He told him that if it wasn’t for him Edge would’ve never been in position to get the pin last week. He also mentions that SummerSlam will be the night that he regains the belt and the Age of Orton continues after this small aberration it has gone through. Edge tells him that he can keep dreaming because Sunday is his night. Orton says Sunday is beside the point, what he really needs to know is if he can trust Edge in tonight’s match. Edge promises Orton that he can’t trust him. Ever. Jeff Hardy comes to the stage now and says that he’s tired of hearing these two girls fight in the ring. He said that Sunday is his night to get back to the top of the mountain but tonight he’ll be satisfied in getting his hands on Edge and Orton. They challenge him to come down. He runs right in there and immediately gets double teamed. This brings out CM Punk, with a chair in hand, and Orton and Edge scramble away. Punk checks on Hardy as we cut to commercial. Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs. UmagaJohn Morrison was at ringside on commentary and he was hoping to see Umaga destroy our US Champion. That wasn’t the case as Kofi managed to hold his own. He used his speed to evade Umaga’s power attacks and that led him to a point where he had Umaga in the corner. He ran, jumped straight on top of him and hit a few punches. Umaga countered this attack with a huge power bomb for a two count. A few minutes later, the Samoan Bulldoze put Kingston away with the Samoan Spike. Winner: Umaga (10:02) ***The announcers put over the fact that Kofi Kingston held his own against a monster like Umaga and that this loss is nothing to scoff at. Morrison disagrees with all of this and he gets in the ring. He waits for Kofi to start getting up and he nails him with the Moonlight Drive.Commercial Break. We return to our weekly look at the Stephanie McMahon/Vickie Guerrero saga. Vickie is sitting in the office with Edge, when Stephanie enters. She says that she doesn’t want to see Edge’s face as he disgusts her. Vickie goes to retort but Edge cuts her off. He gets into Stephanie’s face and tells her that she came to Smackdown to get revenge on him for putting her brother on the shelf. He applauds her to suspending him, but that’s all she’s been able to do. She couldn’t prevent him from getting into the World Title match this Sunday and she’ll be able to do even less once he wins it. Before she could respond, he walks out of the room.Divas Match Maryse vs. Michelle McCoolMaryse has really improved in recent weeks and it showed here. They put on a good match by their standards and Maryse looks to be next in line for a Divas Title shot at Gail Kim. After some decent back and forth action, Maryse put her away with the French Kiss. Winner: Maryse (5:26) **¼In the back, Josh Matthews is standing by with Divas Champion Gail Kim. He asks her how she feels about Maryse getting on a bit of a roll lately. Kim says that she has looked impressive lately and she’d love to give her a shot at the title. She loves competition and she wants to defend the belt as often as possible and against all comers.Commercial Break. A Shelton Benjamin promo is shown before the upcoming match.Six Man Tag Team Match Big Show, Finlay & Sheamus O’Shaunessy w/ Hornswoggle vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Hart Foundation& Shelton Benjamin w/ Natalya Neidhart The first six man tag delivered on the level we all expected it to. It wasn’t spectacular, but it was damn good. Surprisingly, most of the stars stayed away from their SummerSlam opponents throughout it. The heels picked on Finlay to work over, due to him being the smallest member of the team. He would of course make the tag to Show, who came in and cleaned house. After some more action though, Benjamin managed to nail Finlay with Paydirt to pick up the win for his team. Winners: WWE Tag Team Champions The New Hart Foundation & Shelton Benjamin (14:08) ***
Commercial Break. We return to see Josh Matthews backstage again, but this time he is with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. He asks Punk why he saved Jeff Hardy earlier tonight. Punk replies by saying that even though Hardy is his opponent this Sunday, he still finds what Edge and Orton do to be wrong and the other reason is that he’s addicted to competition. He wants to face Edge, Orton and Hardy all at 100%.
The announcers now remind us that Smackdown X will take place next week, including a huge main event just signed. Whoever leaves Los Angeles this Sunday as World Heavyweight Champion will face Smackdown’s biggest icon, The Undertaker in a non-title match! This should be a classic no matter who wins at SummerSlam.Singles Match Scotty Goldman w/ Ace Steel vs. Zack Ryder w/ Curt HawkinsMost of the crowd wondered why this was on the card, most likely it was to separate the Six Man Tags. This could also be used to help push WWE’s surprisingly strong tag team division. The match itself was decent, nothing special and Goldman won with the Chicago Crab. Winner: Scotty Goldman (6:11) **½
Commercial Break.
Six Man Tag Team Match World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Jeff Hardy & The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho, Edge &Randy OrtonThis got a whole lot of time and was a splendid main event. It went to two commercial breaks in between and featured great action. Each guy got to do their signature moves and the crowd ate this match up. As always, the heel team took turns beating on Hardy. They used frequent tags, but no double teams. They prevented Hardy from making the tag three times until he finally tagged in ‘Taker. He dominated for a while and ended up tagging in Punk. Jericho, who waited until ‘Taker left to ask for a tag, got in and they went at it. Eventually, Jericho locked in the Walls and Orton and Edge attacked ‘Taker and Hardy to stop them from breaking it up. The four of them battled outside, while Punk reached the ropes. Jericho was upset and went to pick Punk up, but the World Champ lifted him and quickly hit the GTS before his leg gave out. He pinned for the win. Winners: World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Jeff Hardy and The Undertaker (17:01) ****Hardy and ‘Taker got in the ring to celebrate as the heels left up the ramp. ‘Taker and Jericho had a stare down, while Orton and Edge began arguing up the ramp. Punk and Hardy shook hands in the ring and Hardy pointed at the World Title as we faded to black.(c) WWE 2009
