Decent opening contest with Kennedy and Orton. The better man got the victory in Orton. I don't think that block of Vickie would fill up a whole time in between commercials - but I am intrigued with what Vickie will be doing. The Dudebusters keeping the gold is definitely for the best. The South Beach Party Boys aren't ready yet. Hope they keep their little tag division push on Raw. Decent promos from Rhodes and Miz; hope they do get decent pushes this year. Love that they beat their rivals in that tag match, too. Christian making it into the next round of the King of the Ring is good. He's much better than Burke especially coming off the past few months. Kim defeating Natalya is good. Especially with her heel attitude now. I'm actually a bit intrigued by Kim and Lee continuing, too. I'm not so sure on Show and Hardy going over in this situation. Though they did pin the right guy of the three, it's still meh to me. The only thing I pull out of it is revenge for the standing tall of SES lately. Liking the post-match stuff and the painkillers comment. Haha. Solid show, Kev.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 11th June 2010...Hot opening contest with Randy Orton defeating Mr Kennedy in a decent curtain-raiser. The Dudebusters defending the WWE Tag Team Championships aainst the South Beach Party Boys was predictable, this match didn't do too much for me. Cody Rhodes and The Miz could be a good team, but Rhodes and Miz should not be a long-term combination; Miz was with Dolph Ziggler last year and Ziggler's had a massive push since then. Miz can't afford it. Same with Cody after Legacy. Not a bad win for Cody and Miz against Tyler Black and Goldust, but I can't take Goldust seriously much longer. Christian and Elijah Burke was a good match, better to see Christian with the win though. Wish there was some note of who will face who in the next round of the King of the Ring tournament really. The tournament has been messy this year. Gail Kim beating Natalya is acceptable, the match I wish was earlier in the show though. Lastly, good win for Big Show and Jeff Hardy against the Straight Edge Society, fair show overall, very disappointing this week though.

Dark Match: WWE World Tag Team Champions The Dudebusters w/ Trent Baretta defeated The Hart Trilogy w/ Natalya Neidhart in a non-title match
We open with a video package showing the highlights of this year’s King of the Ring Tournament and it ends by focusing on the final four superstars left. It then shows the rivalry between CM Punk and Jeff Hardy as well as the build-up to the WWE Title match between Edge, Chris Jericho and John Cena.
The opening pyrotechnics shoot off in the arena, signaling the start of our three hour broadcast. Our three man announce team of Michael Cole, Matt Striker and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show and give a quick rundown of tonight’s card, before taking us to our opening contest.
| King of the Ring Semi-Final Match |

Bryan Danielson vs. The Miz

The Miz came out first, to a chorus of boos, and he was sporting new blue & white attire. He had a microphone in hand and cut a promo as he walked down the ramp. He promises to make good on his word to become the King of the Ring and continue 2010 as the “Year of Awesome.” They opened with a collar and elbow tie up and it was clear from the get go that Danielson is superior in-ring wise. He locked Miz into several holds that he could not find his way out of. That is, until Miz used a well timed rake of the eyes. He took over at this point and the fans hated it. The Miz hit his trademark backbreaker followed by a neckbreaker for a near fall. He then nailed a bulldog as well as his signature corner clothesline for another near fall. Miz was beginning to get frustrated, but he stalked Danielson as he tried to get up. He bounced off of the ropes and hit the Reality Check. Danielson somehow got his shoulder up and Miz was infuriated. He picked up Danielson and went to toss him outside, but Danielson turned it around and sent him over instead! He followed with a huge suicide dive that got the crowd roaring. Danielson rolled Miz back in the ring for a near fall. He climbed to the top and hit a missile dropkick, followed by a kip-up. As Miz got up, Danielson met him with a big running elbow and then a dragon suplex for a near fall. Both men looked tired, but Danielson tried to lock in Cattle Mutilation. Miz fought it off and was instead hit with several consecutive MMA style elbows. Danielson now set up for a German suplex, but Miz elbowed out of it and hit the Skull Crushing Finale! Both men were hurt, so when Miz finally covered, he only got a two count. Miz went to pick up Danielson, but was pulled into a small package for another near fall. They got up at the same time and Danielson managed to get the Cattle Mutilation latched on. Miz was near tapping, when Drew McIntyre rushed to the ring and got on the apron. Danielson broke the hold and knocked McIntyre off the apron. Miz used this opportunity to sneak up and hit another Skull Crushing Finale and advance to the Finals!

Winner: The Miz [14:27] ***½

The crowd booed loudly as The Miz laid in the ring, still hurt from the Cattle Mutilation, and was declared the victor. McIntyre slowly headed up the ramp with a smirk as he just cost Danielson a potential shot at a World Title at SummerSlam.
We cut to the back, where Vickie Guerrero and John “Bradshaw” Layfield are in the General Manager’s office. JBL says that it’s good to have a Pay-Per-View without Teddy Long and Stephanie McMahon around to bore them. Vickie agrees as they share champagne and continue to enjoy the broadcast. | King of the Ring Semi-Final Match |

Christian vs. Sheamus

It was clear from the start that Sheamus was going to use his power to his advantage. He shoved Christian down on two consecutive tie ups and hit a body slam after the third. Christian was determined though, and would not stay down. He hit a great tornado DDT to take some control shortly into the contest. Christian smartly did everything he could to keep Sheamus grounded, which included a frog splash, a twisting sunset flip and he even busted out a cloverleaf. Sheamus managed to reach the ropes though. Sheamus took complete control after connecting with the Vicious Sword [Polish hammer]. Sheamus showed off his incredible power when he hit a stalling side slam back breaker and a devastating clothesline. Sheamus signaled for the end as he hoisted Christian up for Pale Justice. Christian wriggled free and went for the Unprettier, but Sheamus pushed him into the corner. Sheamus charged Christian, who moved half of his body to the apron, and delivered a huge kick. He climbed to the top and went for a diving uppercut, only to have Sheamus dodge. Christian got up and ducked an oncoming Brogue Kick. He quickly nailed the Unprettier and put down Sheamus for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Christian [11:23] **¾

Christian celebrates his victory as he is now just one win away from accomplishing his goal of winning the King of the Ring and getting a World Heavyweight Title shot! He heads up the ramp to the crowd’s roars of approval.
Ashley Valance is standing by with Alberto Del Rio, who will be facing MVP in a Loser Leaves Raw match up next. She asks him why he does he want to see MVP gone from Raw. Del Rio says that people like MVP are poisons to the WWE. The WWE should only be filled with the cream of the crop, which are guys like himself and Chris Jericho. Guys that aren’t former convicts. Del Rio says that his background and lifestyle make him special and it’s his destiny to succeed in the WWE. Valance then asks him about the “plan” he & Jericho keep discussing. Del Rio smiles, winks at her, and walks off.
A commercial for “The Bash” is shown, which is next month’s Pay-Per-View extravaganza! It will air live on July 18th, 2010 from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The commercial focuses on Randy Orton.

Alberto Del Rio vs. MVP

Once the bell rang, MVP charged at Del Rio and tackled him to the mat. He delivered multiple right hands until Del Rio got free and escaped to the outside. He regrouped and slowly re-entered. He went right up to MVP and attempted to slap him, but MVP blocked it and slapped him to the mat. He picked him up, sent him into the corner and hit an early Player’s Boot, picking up a near fall. MVP was clearly hell bent on beating Del Rio and sticking around on Raw. He whipped Del Rio off the ropes and hit a flapjack, followed by the Ballin’ Elbow for a near fall. MVP set Del Rio up for a German suplex, but the “Mexican Aristocrat” kicked MVP low. He then spun behind MVP and delivered a German suplex of his own. He then worked over MVP’s arm for a short while, obviously gearing up for his cross armbreaker. MVP managed to get back in the driver’s seat when he caught Del Rio with a huge snap overhead belly-to-belly suplex. He then did a rarity as he climbed to the top rope. That proved to be a mistake as Del Rio was up and nailed a step up enziguri that sent MVP crashing to the mat. Both men got up at the same time and MVP ducked a clothesline. He set up for the Playmaker, but Del Rio broke free and kept hold of MVP’s arm. He managed to lock in his rolling cross armbreaker and forced MVP to submit, picking up a surprisingly clean victory.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio [11:44] ***¼

Alberto Del Rio exited the ring with a huge grin on his face as the crowd booed heavily. MVP slowly got to his feet as Del Rio waved goodbye from the top of the ramp. He headed to the back as MVP was now fully up. The boos turned to a standing ovation as MVP was now forced to leave Raw and the crowd showed their appreciation. He waved goodbye as well as the cameras cut away to the back.
Chris Jericho is shown watching on a monitor and he has a big smile on his face. The United States Champion, Jack Swagger, walks up to him and greets him. He goes to say something but realizes that the cameraman is near and they choose to walk away in private. The announcers ponder Swagger’s presence as he’s not on tonight’s card.

Ezekiel Jackson [c] vs. John Morrison

John Morrison attempted to start this match like he did at Extreme Rules, with a dive to Ezekiel Jackson as he walked down the ramp, but Jackson moved out of the way. Jackson smirked as Morrison crashed and rolled him into the ring, allowing the bell to ring. Jackson was very aggressive tonight as he began to toss Morrison around the ring. Morrison used his great skills at selling, making Jackson’s moves look even more impressive. Jackson sent Morrison off the ropes and connected with a big shoulder block. He taunted to the unhappy fans before picking up Morrison and sending him into the corner. He charged but Morrison dodged out of the way and delivered a springboard kick for a close near fall. As Jackson got up, Morrison hit him with an uppercut, followed by a Russian leg sweep. He climbed up and went for the Starship Pain, but Jackson got his knees up. Jackson now hit an overhead belly to belly suplex and three consecutive back breakers, but Morrison was to resilient to stay down for a three count. Jackson set up for the Book of Ezekiel, but Morrison elbowed his way out of it. He then hit the Moonlight Drive from out of nowhere, but Jackson managed to get his shoulder up. Once Jackson was up, Morrison nailed him with a stiff superkick and called for the Starship Pain one more time. He connected with it this time and the crowd went nuts. He covered but somehow Jackson again got his shoulder up! Morrison was in shock as it seems like nothing will keep this monster down. Morrison climbed up top again, but this time waited for Jackson to get to his feet. He attempted a top rope spinning heel kick, but Jackson dodged it. He lifted Morrison up and dropped him with the Book of Ezekiel to retain his Title.

Winner and Still ECW Champion: Ezekiel Jackson [11:54] **¾

For the second straight Pay-Per-View, Ezekiel Jackson has defeated John Morrison, despite the “Guru of Greatness’” fantastic effort. The announcers continue to put over Morrison as Ezekiel exits to a chorus of boos.
We got straight to a video package that begins with Randy Orton’s rough patch. It began when he lost the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XXVI, followed by him getting pinned at Backlash and losing to Rey Mysterio twice. It next cuts to him snapping, as he punted Mysterio, Mr. Kennedy, Carlito & Charlie Haas. Lastly, we see Shelton Benjamin, Haas’ best friend, attack Orton and challenge him to a match tonight at the King of the Ring. | Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton |

There’s no other way to slice it, this was a straight up fight. Right from the get go, Shelton Benjamin and Randy Orton were in a fist fight. Benjamin got the better and sent Orton reeling into the corner. He didn’t stop there though as he continued to fire away with right hands until Orton was seated in the corner. He finally stepped away and allowed Orton to get to his feet. Shelton rushed in and went for the Shelton Splash, but Orton caught him in mid-air with a huge European uppercut! He picked up Shelton and tossed him to the outside. He followed and choked Shelton with the cables at ringside. Orton smashed Shelton’s head into the announce table before rolling into the ring. Shelton got on the apron, which allowed Orton to catch him with the rope hung DDT for a near fall. Orton now stomped on every part of Shelton’s body, before slithering back and stalking for an early RKO. He went for it but Shelton shoved him off into the corner. He quickly ran in and connected with the Shelton Splash this time. It was now his turn to take control as he sent Orton off the ropes and hit a big Samoan drop. Shelton then hit the Exploder for a near fall. He surprised everyone when he hit an RKO, embarrassing Orton by hitting him with his own move. Orton managed to kick out though. Shelton had a crazed look in his eyes as he began to gear up for the Paydirt. He went for it but Orton held onto the top rope, sending Shelton crashing to the mat. Orton now stepped back and was clearly setting up to punt Shelton. He went for it but Shelton dodged it and hit a huge German suplex for a near fall! After they got up, Orton caught Benjamin’s kick attempt, only to have Shelton nail the Dragon Whip. Benjamin went to grab Orton, but he managed to hit the RKO from out of nowhere! Orton covered and got the three count, but the RKO was clearly a last ditch adrenaline rush maneuver.

Winner: Randy Orton [14:14] ***½

The crowd booed loudly as Randy Orton was declared the winner. Shelton Benjamin could not get full revenge for Charlie Haas tonight, but it was clear that Orton was not at 100% after the match. Neither man looked like a winner and this is likely far from over.
The cameras cut away and see Josh Matthews standing by with Christian. He asks him how it feels to be this close to winning the King of the Ring. Christian says that it feels great and it’s something he’s wanted to do for his whole career. He is cut off by The Miz, who reminds Christian that this is just his second King of the Ring Tournament and it will not take him a decade to win one of these. He will end Christian’s hopes to become World Champion, because 2010 is the “Year of Awesome” and there’s nothing the “Peeps” can do about it. He walks off as Christian smirks and heads in the other direction.
A video package is shown, focusing on the very personal feud between former friends CM Punk and Jeff Hardy. | World Heavyweight Championship |

CM Punk [c] w/ The Straight Edge Society vs. Jeff Hardy

At No Way Out these two put on a classic and tonight was more of the same. CM Punk’s new heel style has worked wonders for him as he was flat out aggressive tonight. Jeff Hardy did not know what hit him when Punk fired away with slaps and kicks to open the contest. He sent him off the ropes and hit a brutal tilt-a-whirl back breaker that got him a near fall. It was clear though that Punk wanted this to be over as soon as possible because he went straight to locking in the Anaconda Vise. Hardy quickly reached the ropes though. Punk hoisted him up for the GTS, but Hardy wriggled free and hit a sit out jaw breaker. He dropkicked Punk into the corner and nailed the Hardyac Arrest. The crowd was pumped as Hardy was now rallying. He nailed a suplex for a near fall before signaling for the Twist of Fate. Punk blocked it though and nailed a vicious kick to Hardy’s head. We now got to witness the dissection of Jeff Hardy as Punk targeted his opponent’s skull. He nailed him with a head butt, some vicious elbows to the skull and his trademark knee strike/bulldog combination. Punk was now at Hardy’s ear, telling him that he was going to end his career tonight. He hoisted him up for the GTS again, but again Hardy found a way to slip out and hit the Twist of Fate from out of nowhere! Both men were down, but Hardy stirred first. He draped his arm over Punk but Drew Gallows pulled the referee out of the ring at the count of two. Big Show now made his way down to the ring and delivered a huge knockout punch to Gallows. Joey Matthews ran away and led Show away from ringside. Hardy now climbed to the top for the Swanton Bomb, but Punk was up and knocked him down to a seated position on the turnbuckle. Serena distracted the referee and slid the World Heavyweight Title into the ring. Punk picked it up and leveled Hardy with it, adding another shot to his skull tonight. Punk then put him on his shoulders and finally delivered the Go to Sleep to get the 1-2-3.

Winner and Still World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk [19:48] ***¾

Serena and Punk left up the ramp to the biggest heat of the night so far as Jeff Hardy was motionless in the ring. Punk had a sadistic smile on his face as he raised the World Title high in the air.
Edge is shown in the back staring at his prized possession, the WWE Championship, as he prepares for our main event.
A short video is shown of Christian and The Miz’s road to the King of the Ring Finals. It shows Christian beating Elijah Burke, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus in the first three rounds. Then it shows Miz defeating Tyler Black, Joe Hennig & Bryan Danielson.

Christian vs. The Miz

Over the past few weeks, both of these guys have been extremely vocal about becoming the 2010 King of the Ring and it all came to a head tonight. The first few minutes of this match focused on each man doing anything they could to gain victory. They tried various roll ups, school boys and small packages but it was clear that this would not end that easily. The Miz continued to show his improvement as he again utilized a back breaker/neck breaker combo for a near fall. He sent Christian into the corner and went for his trademark clothesline but Christian dodged it and delivered a kick of his own. Christian then climbed to the top and hit a flying European uppercut. Christian went for a reverse DDT, but Miz got free and rolled to the outside. Christian met him with a springboard plancha. He rolled Miz back into the ring and climbed to the top. His frog splash attempt was a wash as The Miz got his knees up. He sent Christian into the corner and hit his clothesline this time. He followed that up with a barrage of right hands followed by a Russian leg sweep. Miz then hit a jaw breaker before going for the Reality Check. Unfortunately for him, Christian had it scouted and dodged it, before quickly hooking him for the Unprettier. Christian nailed it and covered but The Miz showed great ring presence and got his foot on the bottom rope. Christian is in disbelief as he came so close to victory. He picks up Miz, but Miz nails him in the gut and hits the Reality Check. He covers but Christian gets his shoulder up. Miz gets up angrily and hooks Christian for the Skull Crushing Finale. Christian elbows out of it and goes for the Unprettier again. Miz wriggles out of that, turns himself around and pulls Christian down into a backslide for the shocking three count!

Winner: The Miz [14:59] ***½

The Miz quickly exits the ring as Christian stays on his knees in the ring. He cannot believe that a backslide ended his run to the King of the Ring and a future World Title shot. The Miz raises his arms in victory as he goes to the area with the throne and crown. He sits on the throne with a smug look and places the crown on his head. The crowd boos as Christian heads up the ramp, passing The Miz, and looks furious with himself.
We are taken to a video package showing the rivalry between Chris Jericho and John Cena and how Edge’s WWE Championship has been thrust into the middle of it.

Edge [c] vs. John Cena vs. Chris Jericho

Despite Edge’s face-like tactics over the past few weeks, he smartly joined in when Chris Jericho wanted to double team John Cena at the start of the match. Cena is clearly the strongest competitor and Jericho and Edge worked well together. They beat on him for the first few minutes until he rolled outside after getting hit with the Edge-O-Matic. Edge and Jericho turned to each other and quickly decided to get into a fist fight. Edge won and sent Jericho off the ropes, connecting with a big boot. He then hoisted Jericho onto his shoulders and nailed the electric chair drop for a near fall. Edge surprised a lot of people when he locked in the Edgecator. Jericho was near ready to tap until Cena re-entered the fray and hit Edge with a shoulder block. He hit Jericho with one as well before hitting both guys with a spin-out bomb. Cena got the crowd excited when he hit a never before seen ten knuckle shuffle! He covered but got near falls on both guys. Cena hit Jericho with a fisherman suplex, before climbing to the top. He went for a top rope Fameasser onto Edge, but the “Rated R Superstar” caught him with a vicious Spear! He slowly went for the cover, but it was broken up by Alberto Del Rio, who had just rushed to the ring! Del Rio then picked up Edge and hit him with a stiff enziguri to the head. He picked up Edge, allowing Jericho to nail the Codebreaker. He covered but Cena broke it up. Del Rio charged Cena, who hoisted him up for the FU. Jericho broke that up though and they ganged up on Cena. Edge joined in and this turned into a glorified tag team match. Suddenly, Jack Swagger, Ezekiel Jackson, Drew McIntyre, William Regal and even Gail Kim ran down to the ring. They all began to beat down on Edge & Cena, except for Kim who checked on Jericho. A barrage of finishers from these guys put down Edge and Cena, until Jericho signaled for them to stop. He then grabbed Cena by the legs and locked in the Walls of Jericho. Cena was unconscious and the referee had no choice but to call the match.

Winner and NEW WWE Champion: Chris Jericho [16:06] ***¼

The crowd and announcers were in absolute shock at what we’ve just witnessed. This must have been the plan that Jericho, Swagger and Del Rio kept discussing. Jackson tossed Cena and Edge out of the ring, before he & Swagger raised Jericho onto their shoulders. They stood in the middle of the ring, surrounded by Del Rio, Regal, McIntyre and Kim as the final shot we see of the night. Jericho raised the WWE Title high as the WWE Universe was left confused.© WWE 2010

King of the Ring, I did expect The Miz to advance via Drew McIntyre interference. I hope this feud escalates into something big on ECW. Pleased to see that Christian took the victory here as Sheamus has already been crowned by the real WWE, so we needed something new here. Very happy that Alberto Del Rio was victorious, and MVP should do fine on SmackDown, if that's where he is going and he isn't just getting dropped, haha. He'd suit on ECW, imo. Delighted that Ezekiel Jackson retained the ECW Championship, he deserves a monster reign. Loved this encounter between Shelton Benjamin and Randy Orton, and I don't think this is over by a long shot. Happy that CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Championship, and I hope Hardy moves away from the gold now, get some fresh faces involved. Yes! Extremely happy you went with The Miz winning the King of the Ring Tournament, and I am very sure we will hear him talk about it for months to come. Wow, shocking finish with Chris Jericho capturing the WWE Championship, but one that I adore. That ending with the interference was pure genius, and it looks like Jericho has got himself some followers. Could this be your version of The Nexus? I can't wait to see what happens with these guys. A brilliant show, well done, Kev.

-Epic graphics. The Miz going over Daniel Bryan was the better way to go here tonight, and now I can predict Christian going over. -Predictable match considering it would've be heel vs. heel in the KOTR. -MVP left, but took everything with him, actually. He won the WWE Championship, became a main eventer, and can now go to another show and do so. Perfect win-win situation for him. -Sucks that Jackson is wrecking Morrison's PPV record. I hope JoMo can find a victory soon. -My favorite match so far tonight. I was happy to see that Orton managed to win though as he's the bigger star. -Good finish to the KOTR, though it could've main evented. The Miz getting it should be good, though right now the champs are Punk and Edge so I hope for a drastic title change on a minor show. -Oh! CM Punk retaining was the best way to go. He's been dominant through 93 pages and doesn't seem to stop just yet. -Good main event, and I thought Edge would win. My second choice was Y2J, and he did win it, should be cool to see his reign. -Good PPV; interesting attack at the end, looking forward to the aftermath of that, though Cena's future looks to be horrid.

WWE King of the Ring: Sunday 20th June 2010...Bryan Danielson and The Miz coming together around the time that they actually feuded is great, a solid opening contest and if I'm honest, it's better for The Miz to win here. I see Miz as the only real good pick for King of the Ring winner tonight if I'm honest. Christian beating Sheamus is disappointing, and probably hurt Sheamus a bit, but it makes sense since it's now Miz vs Christian in the finals. Not too bad, I suppose. Alberto Del Rio was obviously going to beat MVP, and MVP's now gone from the company. You spoilt this one for me three weeks ago in a new report. Ezekiel Jackson beating John Morrison is fine, not a bad ECW Championship defence here. Just wonder what Morrison will do from here. Randy Orton beating Shelton Benjamin is fine, expected to be a solid match. Keep Benjamin high on the card. CM Punk and Jeff Hardy is a great rivalry, hope you expand on it and let it main event a pay-per-view, maybe SummerSlam. Punk retaining the World Heavyweight Championship is acceptable. Did like the Straight Edge Society getting involved. The Miz winning the tournament is for the best. He should be main eventing by the end of 2010. And lastly, Chris Jericho I'm not sure why he needs to win the WWE Championship, but it works fine for me. Not a bad match, a decent show overall with a lot to work from, from this point onwards.

Nice opening contest with Miz vs. Danielson, very Miz-esqe promo going down the ramp. You made the right call putting the Miz over, too. I was really disappointed in Sheamus vs. Christian, especially with Christian going over as Sheamus looks weak in the end. Del Rio vs. Miz was other good-one with Del Rio being the right pick for going over, interesting to see what you do with MVP over on Smackdown. It's cool that you're doing something with Jackson, always thought he was untapped potential though I'm not too sure on him going over Morrison. It's interesting though. Wow, didn't expect Shelton/Orton to be this high-up on the card, that's cool. I expected Orton to go over, but no harm to Shelton as you booked him to look strong even in defeat. I have really enjoyed this Punk/Hardy rivalry, hopefully you'll keep it going and it'll main event a pay-per-view at some point. Solid match. Miz going over Christian was a decent call, I would have liked to see Christian pull it off and chase the title, but you know. The one thing I really didn't like was that you put the belt on Jericho, I just don't see why Jericho needs the belt. He's one of the talents that are over without a belt, but we'll see what you do with it. Great pay-per-view.

- Great job, really really great job on the King of the Ring PPV, I loved every single second of it, from beginning to the end which I found really confusing, but other than that it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- The Miz beating Danielson, favorite match of the tournament, this tournament is The Miz's for the taking, Danielson doesn't need the King of the Ring title to elevate him but Miz does, 2010 is the year of The Miz and he is awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Christian beating Sheamus, I am a fan of that, I feel that, but still it was a good match, an entertaining match!!!!!!!!!!!
- Del Rio beating MVP, I am a big fan of that, really big fan of that, 2010 will also be the year of Alberto Del Riooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Arribba Del Undo Del Rio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But in all seriousness, Del Rio now that he is on RAW, he can have more of a push especially now that MVP is out of the way, MVP can always go to Smackdown and or ECW, but best bet for MVP is for him to go to Smackdown since they need the star power on that show, MVP can go for the World Heavyweight Championship and have newer feuds now that he can go to the Blue Brand
- Ezekiel everything he does, he just dominates, he is probably the best ECW Champion that I have seen so far, just going through his opponents and beating them so decisively, Morrison never had a chance, now tell me who can beat this man right now? No one, I see Ezekiel holding that ECW Title for a very long time
- My man Randy Orton beating Shelton Benjamin, I am definitely feeling that, now that will teach Shelton to not get in Randy's way ever again, but I have a feeling Shelton will be back for more, and when he does, maybe Orton can Punt Kick Benjamin in the head and end him once and for all!!!!!!!!!!
- Punk still the World Heavyweight Champion, I love it, keep that belt away from the drug addict Jeff Hardy, I hate him, I cannot stand him, and Kevin this is hope that you bury Jeff Hardy because he doesn't deserve to be World Heavyweight Champion, this is my honest opinion. But in all seriousness I love this rivalry, I now love it even more that Punk has gone over Jeff, here is to hope that CM Punk has the strap for a very long time!!!!!!!!!!
- The Miz beating Christian to win King of The Ring, I knew all along that The Miz would win this tournament, he was my odds-on favorite as I made a bet with my other friends who come to this website and read this diary, we made a bet about King of the Ring, and that bet was who would win the tournament, put all my money on Miz and it paid off, Miz is the 2010 King of the Ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All Hail King Miz!!!!!!!!!!!!
- But in all seriousness, it was still an awesome match, but the important question here lies is, which title will Miz go after, the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship since he earned that right by winning King of the Ring?
- Jericho winning the belt the way he did, I was expecting Kofi Kingston to come to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase at the end of the match-up, but Swagger, Jackson, Regal, and McIntyre coming to help Jericho, what does this mean?
- Overall a really great PPV, I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5-Star classic all around!!!!!!!!!

June 21st, 2010 | Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut
Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome the WWE Universe to tonight’s Raw, which will feature all of the fallout from last night’s King of the Ring Pay-Per-View. They remind us that we have a new WWE Champion in Chris Jericho, after some very confusing events took place.
To answer these questions, Chris Jericho’s theme hits. He comes to the ring flanked by Ezekiel Jackson, Drew McIntyre, William Regal, Jack Swagger, Gail Kim and Alberto Del Rio. For some reason, he has the World Heavyweight Title and not the WWE Title on his shoulder. He gets in the ring and says that he knows everyone wants answers about last night, but first he has some news for everyone. Last night he cut a deal with CM Punk and, after paying some really good money, has managed to switch belts. CM Punk is now the WWE Champion, while Jericho is the World Champion. The reason he did this will become clear now as he points to everyone in the ring. He says that for years, he has called himself the “best in the world at what he does” and he stands by this assessment. But he realized that he needs to pass along some of his knowledge, so he has now surrounded himself with people who are the best representatives of their respective countries. From Ghana, the ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson, from Scotland, Drew McIntyre, from England, William Regal, from the United States, the US Champion Jack Swagger, from Mexico, Alberto Del Rio and from Asia/Canada, Gail Kim. He will represent the entire world, which is why he had to be the Champion of the world and not just the WWE. Collectively they will simply be known as “The Best in the World” and they will rule all three brands with an iron fist.
Edge’s theme hits as the former WWE Champion comes out to the stage, to a large pop. He tells Jericho that he respects a guy who will take any opportunity he gets to win the WWE Title, so he commends him for last night. But that doesn’t mean he’s okay with it. Chris Jericho took the most important thing in his world and he wants it back. Edge demands his rematch tonight, to which Jericho protests. John “Bradshaw” Layfield appears on the titantron and says that unfortunately for Jericho, it’s not up to him. The rules clearly state that when a Champion loses their belt, they are guaranteed a rematch and Edge will get his in tonight’s main event! The crowd goes nuts as “The Best in the World’s” first official night has turned sour.
Commercial Break
Carlito vs. Kofi Kingston |

Kofi Kingston has had a bit of a rough patch lately, ever since winning the Money in the Bank. Tonight, he was on his game as he attempted to pick up the win on several occasions. He got a close near fall after hitting the S.O.S. For a while after that though, Carilto was back in the driver’s seat until Kingston hit Trouble in Paradise from out of nowhere and got the win.

Winner: Kofi Kingston [5:41] **

The Best in the World is shown in Chris Jericho’s locker room, and they do not look happy. Del Rio says that Edge ruined a perfect night, but Jericho stops him. He tells Del Rio that nothing will stand in their way. The whole point of banding together was to dominate as the world’s best and they will start that tonight.Commercial BreakWe cut to the General Manager’s office as JBL is exiting. He bumps into John Cena who says that he’s just who he was looking for. He knows that they have their past issues and they’ve had some wars in the past. Ever since JBL became GM, Cena hasn’t him for anything, but he wants something tonight. He wants to get his hands on the “Best in the World”. JBL thinks for a second and agrees, telling him that he’ll be facing the ECW Champion, Ezekiel Jackson, tonight!Elijah Burke vs. Sheamus | For a first time ever encounter, this proved to be great. Burke hasn’t had a hot month since dropping the Intercontinental Title, but he took the “Celtic Warrior” to the limit tonight. Sheamus was desperate to rebound from getting eliminated in last night’s King of the Ring and he tossed Burke around during the early goings. Elijah fought back and showed why he is a former ECW & Intercontinental Champion, but eventually he fell to the Brogue Kick. | Winner: Sheamus [8:11] *** |
After the match, “A New Day” hits as Ted Dibiase Jr. comes out for the first time in almost two months. He has a microphone in hand and he says that over the past eight or so weeks, he has been recovering after Sheamus attacked him. He offered Sheamus an opportunity and instead of simply turning it down, he took it to the next level. He gets into the ring and tells Sheamus that his sole purpose for returning tonight was to issue a challenge. He still isn’t cleared to wrestle for another two weeks, but he wants his revenge on Sheamus at The Bash! Sheamus smirks, nods and goes for a Brogue Kick, but Ted ducks and clotheslines him over the top and to the outside. He celebrates along with the WWE Universe as we have our first match for The Bash officially booked! Commercial BreakLayCool is backstage discussing Michelle McCool’s retaining of the Divas Championship last week in a Scramble Match. Layla says they form a great team, and that the rest of the Divas are cheap wannabes. McCool agrees and says that will have fun after their match tonight.

ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson w/ Drew McIntyre vs. John Cena

Even though it was a non-title match, this was the biggest match in Ezekiel Jackson’s career as he faced John Cena live on Raw. It turns out that these two meshed very well together and it made for a pretty good match. Cena was doing everything in his power to overcome Jackson’s incredible strength. The match went old school near the end when Jackson locked in a bearhug. Cena mustered the strength to fight it off and went for the FU. McIntyre got on the apron, which caused Cena to set down Jackson and level him. He turned back right into the Book of Ezekiel and Jackson has shocked the world!

Winner: ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson [9:16] **¾

Ezekiel Jackson has just defeated John Cena in an absolute surprise! The first match in the “Best in the World” era turns out to be an enormous success, by hook or by crook. Jackson heads up the ramp with Drew McIntyre and they look very happy.Commercial BreakThe locker room of the “Best in the World” is celebrating Jackson’s victory until Chris Jericho entered. He told them to stop the celebration. He says that while Jackson’s victory was big and worthy of a celebration, that’s not going to be their style. He wants them to act like winners who don’t need to celebrate every single night. He will lead by example after the main event tonight.Six Person Inter-Gender Tag Team Match |

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & LayCool vs. Mr. Kennedy, Mickie James & Tiffany

As six person inter-gender tag matches go, this was better than most. Ziggler and Kennedy worked well together and should have a good rivalry over the Intercontinental Title. Among the Divas, McCool and Layla continue to shine in their “mean girls” role as they picked on Tiffany. Eventually though, James got the win for her team when she dropped Layla with the Mick Kick.

Winners: Mr. Kennedy, Mickie James & Tiffany [5:11] **

John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in his office when John Cena barges in. He demands another match with the Best in the World. JBL says that he got his chance, but Cena says that it wasn’t under fair circumstances. JBL says “fine” but it won’t be on Raw. He says that he’ll be in a tag match tomorrow night on ECW! He knows that Teddy Long will love to have Cena on his show, so he’s sure Long will agree. Tomorrow night on ECW, it will be Drew McIntyre & Ezekiel Jackson taking on John Cena & Bryan Danielson! Cena likes the idea and heads out.Commercial BreakThe Airbourne Angels vs. The Hart Trilogy w/ Natalya Neidhart | This proved to be one of the best tag team matches in recent memory as it involved two of the most talented teams in recent memory. They went back and forth throughout this respect based contest that featured multiple near falls. The crowd was very into this and was on the edge of their seats. The finish came when Justin Angel nailed Harry Smith with the 450 Splash, vaulting the Airbourne Angels high into Tag Title contention. | Winners: The Airbourne Angels [8:01] *** |
Josh Matthews is standing by with Edge, asking him about his World Heavyweight Title match up next. Edge says that even though he’s still feeling the effects of being attacked last night, he’s never been this mentally prepared for a Title match. He promises to stop the Best in the World in their tracks and regain what is rightfully his.Commercial BreakWorld Heavyweight Championship | Chris Jericho [c] w/ Gail Kim vs. Edge | Surprisingly, not only was most of the Best in the World absent at Jericho’s side, but he only chose to bring Gail Kim with him. Edge and Jericho, who haven’t had a legit feud in a few years, still managed to have a good match here. The crowd already shows a strong disliking for Jericho’s new stable and they were strongly behind Edge. Edge was closing in on victory as he geared up for the Spear. He ran in and connected with it to the crowd’s roar of approval. He went for the cover, but Alberto Del Rio rushed down and pulled him out of the ring before the count of three. | Winner via Disqualification: Edge [9:17] *** |
Del Rio and Edge began to trade shots on the outside as Jericho is hurt inside the ring. Edge and Del Rio go around to the announce table when Kofi Kingston’s theme hit to everyone’s surprise. He ran down to the ring and handed his Money in the Bank briefcase to the referee. Justin Roberts announced that Kofi was now cashing in his Money in the Bank Title shot.World Heavyweight Championship | Chris Jericho [c] vs. Kofi Kingston | Jericho tried to charge at Kingston, but he was met with a huge monkey flip. Kingston then taunted to the fans and nailed the Boom Drop. He covered but Jericho just barely managed to get his shoulder up. The crowd was going nuts as he did the Boom Clap, clearly gearing up for Trouble in Paradise. Alberto Del Rio entered the ring and distracted the referee. Kingston got up and pushed him, which allowed Jericho the chance to pull Kingston into a school boy for the win. | Winner and Still World Heavyweight Champion: Chris Jericho [2:14] N/A |
When the bell rang the crowd turned from excited to furious in an instant. Both Edge and Kingston had chances to become World Heavyweight Champion and they were both ruined by the Best in the World. Jericho and Del Rio quickly headed up the ramp as the crowd booed heavily. Kingston was in an absolute rage after becoming the first person to unsuccessfully cash in Money in the Bank.© WWE 2010

- Great job on RAW, I am really pissed about how RAW ended though, since I am from Ghana and I thought that Kofi Kingston was going to cash in his MITB briefcase and win it, but no, it didn't happen, he loses his MITB cash in match, what a way to de-push Kofi, he wins MITB only to lose his briefcase on a cash-in, but hey it's your diary, so I am not going to be one to criticize, if you wanna do that, then great, I guess.
- Something tells me that you are going to turn Kofi heel, since he is from Ghana, like myself, and if he goes heel, I will definitely support Kofi Kingston still, but please tell me that Kofi is still getting pushed?
- But Jericho's new stable all I have to say is epic, but the only thing that I have reservations about is the fact that most of them are on different brands, so how is that going to work, usually members of a stable have to be on one brand like for example Evolution was all on one brand RAW, so was DX on RAW, and another reservation would be why include a diva in the stable?
- Sheamus beating Elijah Burke, I love it, it was a good match, lately ever since Sheamus has come over to RAW in the Draft, he has been on a roll, he destroyed Undertaker and put him on the shelf, he had a good showing in the King of The Ring PPV tournament, and not only that but now since beating Burke, he is well on his way to being World Heavyweight Champion hopefully sometime by this year, or in 2011
- Ezekiel Jackson beating John Cena, all I have to say is shocking, not even I would have called that, AWESOME MATCH, since Ezekiel beat Cena, and he is the ECW Champion, all I have to say is Ezekiel Jackson has future main eventer written all over him, an upset if you ask me
- Kennedy, Mickie James, and Tiffany beating LayCool and Ziggler, I am alright with that, the match, still good match
- The Airbourne Angels beating the Hart Trilogy, I was entertained by this match, such a high-flying match, I loved it
- Jericho not just beating Edge but also beating Kofi, I was shocked, but I didn't like how it all went down, but I can understand why you did it
- Overall good show, I am proud of you Kevin, sorry if I called you A.J. before, my bad, I apologize for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Really the mistake is mine, but still Kevin, good show

Right I read King of the Ring so I know what's going on and I'm going to reply to Raw. First off really glad this is still going from when I was last here. Jericho's stable is awesome and I look forward to what happens with them. Ted Jr's return is awesome and I hope he gets a push. Awesome to see Kennedy is still around in this and is feuding with Dolph, hope he grabs the IC title soon. Glad the best in the world dominated the show although I don't particularly like Kofi losing in his cash in match but that's just personal preference. Awesome show glad to see this still going strong and I will be reading once again.

Raw, love this 'Best in the World' teaming. At King of the Ring, I didn't pick up on the different nationalities, but now I know, it works. Also love the switching of titles. I am extremely glad you had Kofi Kingston win here. As Money in the Bank holder, he really needs to rack up a few victories. Glad that Sheamus won, and I look forward to seeing him tangle with DiBiase at The Bash. Extremely shocked to see Ezekiel Jackson go over John Cena, but I am so glad he did as it gives the 'Best in the World' a victory already, and shows they are a unit, with the help from McIntyre. I'd have rather seen Dolph Ziggler and Lay-Cool go over here, but what the hell. The Airbourne Angels with the victory is good, and I think they'd make pretty good Tag team Champions, but not just yet. I think a Disqualification victory was definitely the best way to go here, keeping Edge strong, without having to injure the 'Best in the World' already. Wow, Kofi Kingston cashes in! Damn... it's a shame that he was the first person ever to fail to cash-in, I feel he deserves more, but I suppose with Chris Jericho just winning Championship, it makes sense.
Overall, a good show. but throughout, you mentioned the WWE Championship, but I thought Chris Jericho swapped the belts? Or was that not official? Sorry if I missed something.
Sorry, I was going off of memory on that, as I read the show yesterday, and just skimmed over it today, haha. I see you've edited it already.

WWE RAW: Monday 21st June 2010...Good opening promo with Chris Jericho, strange alliance with Ezekiel Jackson, William Regal, Jack Swagger, Gail Kim and Alberto Del Rio: it seems like a stereotype faction with stars from all over the world: The Best in the World reminding me a lot of my team with Jericho and CM Punk as The Elite in my 2010. Seems like a faction that won't exist in a few months though, also Punk will look strange with the WWE Championship. Makes sense for Jericho to be World Heavyweight Champion in this case, though. Paying for the switch I'm not sure about though. Edge being the opponent for Jericho seems solid though. Kofi Kingston beating Carlito isn't bad, weak opening contest though. Sheamus beating Elijah Burke isn't too bad I suppose, like Ted Dibiase returning here and seemingly calling him out. Dibiase as a face must be awkward for Ted though. I'd have switched the first two match positions. Ezekiel Jackson in the Best in the World faction only works if he's a member of the RAW roster...make him drop the ECW Championship and officially join RAW. He doesn't fit on ECW with their smaller talent. He's the only guy that's over 275 pounds on that brand. Zeke with the win against John Cena proves that he's too good for ECW, too. Mr Kennedy, Mickie James and Tiffany with the win against Dolph Ziggler and Laycool is lacklustre, but I'll bite I suppose. The men should have been involved with the finish. Evan Bourne and Justin Angel beating the Hart Trilogy is disappointing, I cannot get behind Bourne and Angel honestly. "Best tag team match in recent history" at three stars match rating? I doubt this very much. Edge beating Chris Jericho by disqualification is nice, again, let Gail Kim join RAW if she's a member of Jericho's faction. It's pointless if it's interpromotional. It will take away prestige from the SmackDown WWE Championship and the ECW Championship/roster. Kofi Kingston's cash in was pointless, though a successful defence was nice, wish Jericho had his faction screw Kofi though. Not a bad episode, just disliked a fair few decisions.

-This looks to be great. I like this all around the world team. A very unique idea. Looking forward to how this plans out, and the main event of tonight, Edge/Jericho. -Kingston going over is a nice call, not bad at all. I hope he gets a great push going into his cash-in. -Sheamus over Burke was fine. I'd love to see a feud between the two. The special challenge of Sheamus/DiBiase should be decent. -Jackson going over Cena could be a big one for him. Not sure if it's massive since Cena hasn't done much, but still Jackson winning over a big name could give him some bragging rights. -I hope to see Kennedy/Ziggler at The Bash. A great match it could be..... -Edge winning via DQ was good, though I see this one going into rematch at The Bash. -Don't like the idea at all of Kingston losing the MITB. Makes him look very idiotic to cash in on Jericho who isn't extremely hurt. He should've waited until maybe The Bash, after a long one. -Good show; lots of shockers.

But on a serious note, Kev, a couple questions:
1) When is Triple H going to return from his injury, because it was like he was drafted over to Smackdown, and then we have never seen or heard from him again, what is the deal with that over there? HHH won the WWE Title back in December 2009 off of MVP, and then lost the title at Elimination Chamber getting injured in the Chamber never seen again or heard from again until the Draft and then after that, he's gone again. I hope this means big things are coming for Triple H in his return
2) Same thing about Batista, where is he too? When is he going to return?
