From the Blog of Trace Nomed
Christ this week has been the busiest week of my life, ever, like period. I’ve been at Storm’s Wrestling Academy for about two weeks now, and have already made quite an impression on Lance Storm himself (that’s not just my massive ego talking by the way). Storm’s an absolute slave master though; I don’t think there’s been a single night that I’ve not been completely numb below the neckline.
I’ve mastered the basics and I can sell like a ragdoll (let’s hope people get what I mean with that) and can already pull of a watchable match. Storm’s telling me that he may get me some small independent work in the local area, which should be pretty good.
Anyways, I just wanted to get everyone up to date on things, and tell you to keep reading. Nothing’s going to be the same again.

Interesting idea here. I honestly didn't even realize off the bat that Nomed was Demon backwards. Not sure about the name; "Nomed" doesn't really have a ring to it. I hope you're in it for the long haul because if you start out at the bottom of the barrel, it could be a while before you make it to the big time. But, your past stuff has been great so I'm not expecting any different with you.

5th January 2008 So we’ve got a day off from training, what with it being a Saturday and all, so I’m heading out for the night with Lucas and Chris, two of the guys I’ve become mates with since joining SWA. Chris Hammers is a fellow brit, coming straight from Northern Island (not sure what part though) and Lucas Knight’s a Calgary Native. Both have been training for about the same amount of time as me, so we’ve become pretty close.
So Lucas is sitting in the corner of the club along with me, just being his glum old self, not drinking a thing (whats the point in going out if your going home sober?). Hammers is somewhere on the dance floor, with some Canadian chick, the guy’s got some luck when it comes to girls way out of his league. We’ve been here about two hours now, and I’ve pretty much given up on walking out of here using my own legs. I’m absolutely of my face.
I’ll tell you, straight vodka and tequila rocks and all, but it really affects you ability to walk and see straight after three bottles.
I wake up the following morning, Christ my head is killing me, and notice a blonde girl lying in the bed next to me. I’m pretty sure that’s the one Chris was dancing with last night. I notice my mobile flashing, telling me that I’ve got not one, but two messages. First one’s from Storm, telling me to make sure I’ve got my gear with me tomorrow, since he’s holding a small show on Friday for the locals, and that things need to be gone over with.
Christ, the work just never ends with this guy.
Second message is from Chris, asking me if I helped the blonde girl get home okay. How in the world am I meant to explain this?
From the Blog of Trace Nomed 6th Janury 2008
First things first, I’ve had a lot of comments about my name, and yes, it is my real name, so have a good laugh. My parents were stupid and most likely high, when they named me, but that’s that.
Last night was crazy, the drinks were flowing and the girls were hot (once again, I’m sorry about that Hammers), but the fun doesn’t end yet, this Friday, and the Storm Wrestling Academy a small wrestling show will be held for the locals, so make sure you turn up. I’m going to get my match recorded, and upload it so you can see my very first professional wrestling match.
Till next time, Nomed signing out.

10th January 2008
Tomorrows the night that my first professional wrestling match takes place, and I’m absolutely going crazy with nerves. Something’s bound to go wrong, it always does.
We’ve been working nonstop for the past four days going over the matches step by step. I’m meant to cut a small promo prior to my match to test my promo skills, and then I’m in the main event of the night in a match against Chris Hammers, who hasn’t exactly been the happiest of people since Saturday night.
So Lance has been giving me some pointers on how to make the match look perfect, and even said that if it goes well then he may consider getting me a match with Stampede Wrestling in the near future, which should be great if it goes ahead. We’ve got some local band playing prior to the show, but the Academy has been converted nicely (it should be, we’ve spent the past two nights doing it) and we’re expecting a decent turnout. It may not be 100’s, but I’m expecting somewhere around 30 people turning up, which is good considering pretty much nobody taking part tomorrow night has any actual match experience.
I’ve just finished with the days training to be handed an envelope from Lance, who tells me that it his recommendation, and that I’m going to need it if I want to work for Stampede Wrestling. I ask him what the hell is he on about, and he tells me that they’ve been looking for some new local talent, and that a scout will be watching the show tomorrow, and that he has recommended me, Chris and Lucas as his three best (guess great talents do always form a group).
So now there’s even more pressure on me for tomorrow night. Great, exactly what I need.
I’m gonna go puke.

Your building this fantastically RR. I think that Stampede is a great place to start out...that is if you get picked. Nah, you will, here's hoping for you and Hammers getting picked. Converting the academy was a really nice touch, Storm seems like a strict trainer. Hope you get your promo time, and the band won't suck. I will read on.

This is really good, I'm really enjoying. Your mixing the right amounts of comedy with storytelling, the Hammers girl thing was great!, cool that your with Storm he is known as the best trainer around, good luck and keep this going

That was actually a really good start. I liked the idea of "something always goes wrong". I like the idea of the letter of recommendation. There really isn't too much to comment on so far, but that was a really good entry.

11th January 2008
“Hurry the hell up” screams Lance. I can’t believe I’m late for the show, bloody flat tire. I had to run all the way here, and a dog ended up chasing me over a mile. Now I’m late for the show, my promo is meant to be up any minute. Lance tells me to get into my gear, and get out there. I try to mention that I haven’t had a chance to really practice, since I was meant to do that here, but he doesn’t listen, and like that, my career seems to be screwed.
“Dance with the Devil” by Breaking Benjamin hits the sound system as I make my way down to the ring, suited out in a torn black sleeveless shirt, featuring an anarchy symbol on the back, black Jeans and black boots. There’s a good amount of people here tonight, which doesn’t make me feel any better. I know that one of them is the Stampede Wrestling scout, but I’ve not got a clue about which one. One of the stage hands passes me a microphone, which seems slightly larger than the normal ones, and I start to pray in my head that I don’t mess this up.
Trace Nomed Tonight, you all get to bare witness to the beginning of a new legend. You get to watch as a true god is born right in front of you, as a future world champion rises from the ashes of this fallen society. You will watch in awe as I tear apart whoever is stupid enough to get into the ring with me. This is only the beginning for me, but it is the end of your innocence. I will reign supreme, and you will bow down to the one and only... Trace Nomed.
That sounded better than I thought it was. I can see Lance from behind the curtain, giving me the thumbs up. Pretty much everyone in attendance is booing me, which was the point. Hammers is out next, he cuts a promo as well, but its hard to make out some of what he says, since he’s laying on the Irish accent a bit thick. He finishes and I get ready for the bell. My first match is about to begin.

I like being late, but being chased by a dog is meh. I like the description of the attire. Like the nervousness, it seems really realistic. Really liked that promo you cut, it gives your character power and identity. Looking forward to your match.
