Managed to reach 30 wins (on 29th win got the 15 KO's achievement aswell). Plus managed to get my 1st online streak, manager 16 wins with no loss until i got caught with no stamina and then armbar. If it ad gone to decision i think i would have got the nod, he did nothing 1st two rounds, so oh well lol

Don't you hate when you have an absolute barn burner and don't get fight of the night? (Y) I find you're most likely to get FOTN if you just dominate them.

I know this from many losses from him, but Jon Fitch is a pain in the butt. He always submits me, no matter how hard I button mash. Any tips? I tried raising my Sub Defence but he still catches me out.

I finally finished my career, 'Call me no touch' done, 34-0-0 & I got into the HOF. I'm really annoyed though I could not get the 2 remaining trophies in the cabinet. I was 30 points from getting the Grappling Technique one, and my one submission win in my career was not SOTN.

I tried raising my Sub Defence but he still catches me out. Just as Rogan and Goldberg state in the commentary, he's a friggin grinder. He's relentless and wants only to take you down which I find to be most annoying. Fank Edger is pretty much the same way in the lightweight division. If you have a taller guy you could utilize your reach. Another thing I did was stick and move. A guy can only take you down if he can reach you. Try quick combos, the ocasional power stirke and keep your distance. If you're a BJJ fighter then the rubber guard is your friend. You can get his back with just two transitions from open guard down and then stand it back up. Just do your best to keep the fight standing and you should own him because he sucks there. If all else fails just accept defeat, build your stats and come back and kick the crap out of him. Cutting off the console before the save can only be done so many times before it feels like cheating.

My 155'er is a Muay Thai/Judo guy, and I make a point to avoid using Judo on the feet. It always ends in them reversing a hip toss and choking me out. On the ground, however, Judo is fantastic. There are so many useful transitions. But, getting back to wrestlers who like to grind it out, just sprawl. It's easy. They shoot it, hold the right stick backwards before they get to you. It's dangerous because you put your hands all the way down to sprawl, but it will keep you off the mat. I'm currently 19-7 in my 155 Career, the worst record I've posted yet. I retired as a light heavyweight with a record of 27-8, retired at middleweight with a record of 31-5 and got into the Hall of Fame. I'm breaking on UFC right now, though, as I'm into Fight Night Round 4 at the moment. 20-6 currently in Legacy Mode, it's tons of fun.

I got the striking trophy and was going through level 3 in grappling, when I retired and got into the HOF. Granted I was undefeated, but it could relate to it.

For the first time in 5 careers I was able to get both striking and grappling trophies in career mode. I was able to get the striking one everytime doing kickboxing, but was unable to get past the level two of grappling in past careers but was getting closer each time. In my first 4 careers I had 1 submission victory in my 5th one at heavyweight I have 4 and got 3 in a row and unlocked Mask. I sucked as after the second the three choices were Mir, Nog, and Werdum which made the choice hard as all are good on the ground. I really enjoy this game as it doesn't get boring as you seem to learn new stuff every few fights and can totally change the way you fight. I have gone from being almost a straight up kickboxer to a all around mma fighter that can take the fight to the ground and control it there and win by submission or KO.

I went 32-3 and didn't get it, and had many KO of the nights, and Best fight of the nights.
I was really pissed, I doubt I'll do Story mode again.

Has anyone gotten submission of the night very often and are any submission more likely to get you it. I know if you are in the single arm clinch and can knock someone out with an uppercut is almost a lock to be KO of the night, but I can't seem to find a submission that is worthy of winning it. I had like 6 in my last career and have already gotten 4 in this one with only 2 of my fights ending in any thing else and none of them won submission of the night. I was totally screwed once when I think it was my first or second real fight in the UFC and I win by rear naked choke after I was in mount and he gave be his back I locked in the choke with some struggle and made him tapout in the end. The part that was really pissed me off is that no submission of the night was given out for that event, eventhough I had one my fight by submission.

For me the trick was if I got them to tap within the first two minutes of the fight, instant Sub of the Night. That's the only way I ever got it, and it worked every time. Same for KO of the night. If I got it early, I got the awards.

Eventually you get an e-mail from Dana saying that you have one year left on your contract, and that after that you'll have to retire.

Thank ing LAWD we finally get an update on the patch. community.ufcundisputed.com/blog-post/patch-update
What’s up guys, Neven here with an update on the patch for UFC 2009: Undisputed.
I want to thank all of you for the support in making UFC 2009: Undisputed such an amazing success. That being said I want to you to know we’ve been working hard on fixing some of the issues found in the online experience. Hit the jump for the list of fixes.
1. We recognize premature match quitting as the biggest online issue and have taken steps to fix it. The Patch will have integrated code that detects who pulls the cable and will assign a Loss as well as a Did Not Finish to that player. The DNF is only counted for the player who executes the disconnection. The DNF rate will be displayed on the fighter selection screen of the Online Ranked Match. When disconnected the Winning Streak is also reset to 0.
2. We’ve adjusted Ranked Matches to match up players with better connections, which will improve lag issues we’ve seen to date.
3. We’ve adjusted the difficulty of performing submissions against AI opponents to improve the balance of subs vs. striking when playing against the AI.
4. We’ve adjusted the Flash KO rate so that they are less frequent.
5. We’ve increased maximum number of points awarded in online play from 99,999 to 999,999 and we’ve increased the Max Level from 100 to 200.
6. We’ve lowered the Winning Streak Bonus Max from 5 to 3.
7. We’ve removed the decimal places on the Leaderboard Winning Percentage so we only show whole percentages.
8. We’ve addressed the CAF cheat so the skill levels in CAF cannot be cheated and increased. Also any CAF with unfair point values will no longer be able to be used Online.
9. For PS3 users we’ve also fixed a bug that causes a freeze during auto-save; whichever controller was used to Press Start on the Title Screen will be identified as the main controller.
Rest assured our entire team plays A LOT of online matches and we read the boards every day, so we are well aware of the issues. We want to make sure we patch this correctly so it is taking a bit of time, but I can confidently say we’ll be releasing this patch soon.
Stay tuned and thanks again for your support.
Sincerely, Neven Dravinski, UFC ProducerSo not only will online quitters lose, but there will actually be a way to see who out there does nothing but quit all the time? HELL YES. Can't wait for this patch to come out.

That patch sounds phenomenal. I've pretty much avoided online because of all the quitting I hear about, I'll definitely start playing online after this. I'd still like it if they replaced quitters with the CPU though.
