I don't want to sound like a whiner, because I do like the overall feel of this game... But...
- There are too many stand-up, one-shot knockouts.
- There are not enough 'referee stoppage' TKO's, which are far more common than an actual "knockout" in MMA.
- Submissions are way too difficult to do.
- I've literally had to try to go to a decision to see if it was even possible.

Yeah, every time I look like I'm going to finally get to a decision (that is make it to the 3rd round at all), I knock him out with a head kick. I seriously have yet to get a single fight to a decision.

I haven't even been able to make it through more than 30 seconds of the 3rd round. Either I'll knock him out with a head kick that only nicks his nose or he'll manage to knock me out with one punch after not even knocking me down the previous 2 rounds.

Every time I get the the third round, the first somewhat good shot ends the fight. And submissions are ridiculous, I have yet to get a single one. Oh well I still dig the game.

Yeah, after playing it for awhile things are starting to get to me. I wish they had some sort of sliders in Options like in the WWE games to adjust damage. Flash knockouts occur way too often and piss me off sometimes since it didn't seem fair. I got to the third round of a fight and felt it was pretty even after the first two rounds. Once the 3rd round hit, I was dominating Shogun and trying my hardest not to knock him out. My stamina was pretty much fully green but Shogun comes out of nowhere with this random strike and knocks me out. |

Finally Managed to make Liddell tap with Rua..took forever though.
I really hope their is an option slider to turn down the occurance of KO's..Just happen far too often to enjoy the game too much

Alright, sure, they could have a more realistic fighting option in the game, but I strongly doubt most people who pick up this game would enjoy fighting to decisions or ref stoppages- They just want to knock the living s**t out of somebody and see the "cool stuff" happen. |

Yeah, despite the minor flaws, this a hell of a first effort. Agreed, it definitely impressed me. I couldn't imagine how an MMA game would be able to even be decent... But they did a pretty good job. I understand that people would rather see knockouts, but it detracts from what little realism the game has to begin with. Maybe it's just the fighters. Liddell and Rua are known for not going to decisions. Maybe once we're able to play with all of the fighters, instead of two guys known for their KO's, we'll see some more ref stoppages and decisions.
That said, though, I agree with the general statement that the bits of unrealism here and there only detract minimally from what is, otherwise, an incredibly fun to play game.
