Santa Claus did an great job for me this year, but he/she didnt get me any of the Xbox games that made the meat of my wishlist. I did, however, get a cumulative 50 bucks to Gamestop in giftcards. Heh, just enough that I have to dig 12 more dollars out my wallet if I want a new game.
I want either a new shooter, Gears, Left 4 Dead or World at War... but Ive wanted NHL 09 for a while now, and I havent gotten Vegas 2 yet.
What should I go for?

Out of all those, the one I play the most is Left 4 Dead. It's just so much fun joining up with 3 friends trying to survive. The Vs. mode is also pretty sweet, keeps me awake most nights until 1/2 in the morning.

Why thank you. I actually started some Christmas reconassaince E-shopping and saw L4D is only fifty dollars now. And I was always a fan of gore, horror, and the Resident Evil series. But IS it as good as the "higher end" shooters?
What other opinions are out there?

Left 4 dead is pretty much amazing, as long as you have some buddies to play with. Alone it sucks. NHL 09 is probably a safe bet too, I hear it is fantastic.

It is close between Gears Of War 2 and Left for Dead but GOW2 is not all that long and it quite easy to beat but Left 4 Dead that game you can play on all day long non-stop (well I can that is  ) so yeah.... Left 4 dead |

Out of those, Left 4 Dead, CoD:WAW is only good zombie mode with friends, and you get that after you beat the game. Depends if you are more of an online co-op with friends type player, or online against each other, team deathmatch, ffa, so on et so forth. I haven't played L4D yet but it's obvious its multiplayer is great with friends. Or you can do what my friends did and mooch zombie mode off me till they got it cause i was the first to get it. gears gets boring id say go for call of duty...and if you can dig out an extra 40 on top of your 12 nhl 09 is on sale at best buy this week (until the end of today) for 37.99  So is COD and Star Wars (another one Santa didn't get me) for 35, and Guitar Hero Aerosmith entire bundle (yeah, that one too) for only 50 bucks. ... at times like these, I wish that A) I had a Best Buy around me (I don't got a credit card for online) B) I had a little bit of extra money that I wouldn't feel guilty wasting on a game and C) Santa would've given me money spendable anywhere instead of Gamestop giftcards. EDIT- D) Santa wouldve gotten me some games  And I did make a decision.... I caved and got COD: World at War for thirteen bucks and the two giftcards. More of my freinds have it, and I've had a real fun time on it so far. Not to mention, I don't have COD4, so although I realize similarities from it, it's not the whole "COD4 Cl0ne In a wW2 un!f0rm" that I hear people complain about... at least not to me. Thank you all for your opinions. Left 4 Dead is already down to fifty, and may keep going lower. I will get it though, eventually. |
