What's the interim title for, and how is it different from the actual title?

Randy was the actual champ and he was not activly fighting because of contract disputes so they had an interim title made to crown another camp while he is gone. Randy came back now Brock is the champ and will face the interim champ (Mir) to crown the undisputed champ..

Ah, thanks for the info. So the Lesnar/Mir fight is meant to unify both titles to make one UFC heavyweight champ?
