Got this from ESPN.com. The story is a few days old, but I didn't see it posted here and I know there are some boxing fans in these parts besides myself...
All I can say is good. Stuff like this needs to happen more often. I have yet to see the fight for myself, I hope to do so soon though, but from everything I've heard they are making the right call to review it.

Haven't seen the fight, but what I've seen of Holyfield lately he's kind of washed up and really needs to hang up the gloves.

This is great news. Holyfield, while washed up and no longer able to fight as he used to, clearly wont the fight in my opinion. I was shocked when I heard the judge's scorecards. Hopefully it gets changed, or the Real Deal gets a rematch. I think if he gets that belt for the 5th time at the age of 46, he'll finally retire.

yeah, i saw the fight. as stated, washed up, over the hill or not Holyfield won that fight and deserves the belt. i have no interest in seeing a rematch either. valuev was a huge dissapointment.

Terrible slow paced fight, Holyfield is just a washed up shell & still he outboxed Valuev winning virtually every round.
However crap decisions are part of boxing, I don't trecall a video review after De La Hoya got a gift decision over Felix Sturm because a win set up the mega fight with B-Hop. Far too many poor decisions & I can't see this achieving anything at all. Just smoke to distract attention away & then quietly it will be announced the panel agreed & everything carries on as normal.

People still watch boxing? I thought wrestling and MMA pretty much put them out of business. Not to mention the lack of a Heavyweight division
