So who do you think could retire today and be a future Hall of Famer?? Here are a few IMO...
Chuck Liddell- He is oe of the most dominant LHW fighters of all time with 4 title defenses as champ and notabble wins over Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, Renato Sobral, Wanderlei Silva, Alistair Overeem, Jeff Monson, Guy Mezger, Kevin Randleman, etc.
Tito Ortiz- He is also one of the most dominant LHW fighters of all time with 5 title defenses and notable wins aginst Ken Shamrock, Guy Metzger, Vitor Belfort, Forrest Griffin, Wanderlei Silva etc.
Bas Rutten- I know he did not have many fights in UFC but he is a former UFC HW champin with notale wins over Kevin Randleman, Frank Shamrock, Guy Mezger, Maurice Smith, and he is undefeated in the octagon at 2-0..
BJ Penn- The second man ever to hold titles in two different weight divisions and potentially the first too ever hold two different UFC titles at the same time he has notable wins over Sean Sherk, Joe Stevenson, Jens Pulver, Renzo Gracie, Roudrigo Gracie, Takanori Gomi, Matt Hughes, etc..
Matt Hughes- Arguably the number one WW of all time he has an outstanding record of 47-7 and a 2 time WW champion with a combination of 7 title defenses between two WW title reigns with notable wins over Royce Gracie, GSP, Frank Trigg, BJ Penn, Sean Sherk, Joe Riggs, etc..
There are many many more deserving but I just named a few. What do you guys think?

Good choices all around. As far as impact on the UFC, all of those guys will one day be in there.
I'll add a few:
Don Frye - 2 time UFC tournament champ. Won the 2nd Ultimate Ultimate, UFC 8, and got to the finals of UFC 10 where he had a blood and guts war with Mark Coleman.
Tank Abbott - Not the greatest record in MMA, or even in the octagon for that matter, but years before there was Tito Ortiz for people to love to hate, there was Tank. Totally made people re think the way the sport was defined. Added hilarious commentary at the booth, had some very memorable fights (wars with Oleg and Frye...scary KO's over Nelmark, Duarte and Matua etc.), and offered some incredible interviews. I've always been a huge Tank fan and I think one day he'll be in there. Helped to do his part to change the landscape of the UFC towards one where entertainment value was added to the list of important attributes in a fighter along with ability.
Kevin Randleman - Held the UFC heavyweight championship and reestablished the fact that wrestling was as good a base to have in MMA as jiu jitsu or Muay Thai. Memorable fights with Bas, Rizzo, Randy, and Mo Smith on his resume.
Pedro Rizzo - Kind of in the same category as Randleman...known for memorable fights but never really reached the peak of his ability, IMO. Hellacious KO's over Barnett, Arlovski, Tank, TK Kosahka, and Tra Telligman. Participated in one of the best heavyweight title fights in UFC history with Couture. Rizzo did a lot to reestablish the importance of leg kicks in MMA, and I don't think anyone has touched his technique since. He didn't use those slippy slappy bullcrap kicks everyone does now. He sank his shins into your ligaments and made you limp bad within 1 or 2 kicks.
I think ultimately, one day GSP will make it in based on his impressive resume. And if the UFC does the RIGHT thing and makes it more of an 'MMA Hall of Fame' instead of 'UFC Hall of Fame' they'll induct a ton more fighters who made their name in Japan. I'm sure I could come up with a much longer list in that case.

Anderson Silva, Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, Georges St. Pierre, Rich Franklin, Chuck Liddell
I'd like to say Tito, but as long as Dana is in charge, I seriously doubt he'll get in.

Frank Shamrock
Tito Ortiz
Anderson Silva
Matt Hughes
Chuck Liddell
Bj Penn
GSP I believe has done enough to get in if he were to retire today.
that is honestly all I believe should go in at this moment. If it were just MMA hall of fame I could list a lot more but just UFC Hall of Fame and who has really changed the landscape as far as the UFC goes it has to be these guys right here.

First name that comes to mind is Matt Hughes. Not his biggest fan but he will be there and deserves to be when the time is right.

i agree with just about all of these. it's really a shame that contracts and egos will prevent most of these from happening. i just wanted to add one more that i didn't see anyone else list and that's tim sylvia, but like my comment about big john, unless "the maine-iac" makes a ufc return before he retires...i dunno...
