Pyro exlodes throughtout the arena. "Suffa" plays as the crowd goes wild in anticipation of URA's first PPV. On a night where we will see the first URA Heavyweight Champion crowned at the end, we will start off big as well, as Ryan Matheny, Gabe Sapolsky, and Ted DiBiase have a major announcement.
URA's main theme, "Faded", plays, bringing out the three men, clad in business suits. Ryan and Gabe garner many cheers, while DiBiase draws heat from the packed crowd. All three men stand in the center of the ring, and Ryan begins to speak.
Ryan Matheny: Welcome everyone to URA Collision! And a "collision" is indeed what will take place tonight, as URA Athletes put it all on the line for you, the fans. But that is not what we're here to talk about.
Ted DiBiase: It sure isn't. See, everybody has a price, hahaha, and URA is about to prove that, when we unviel our new Head of Talent Relations, M...
Gabe Sapolsky: Not so fast, Ted. I'd first like to address the fans. When I was brought into URA, I knew that I had a vast array of talent to utilize. That's why I love my job as booker. So when hiring a Head of Talent Relations was brought up, I was excited, as I knew that we could get somebody who could bring in more talent from around the globe to compete in URA.
RM: So, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, we welcome the new Head of Talent Relations...
THe lights dim, and a green spotlight highlights the man who has stepped onto the stage as "Spartan X" plays.
RM: Mitsuharu Misawa!
Mitsuharu stands on the stage and recieves a standing ovation from the crowd. He begins to address the crowd, and even though difficult to understand at times, is clear in his message.
MM: I come to URA to bring the best talent from the world here. I'm going to use tonight to scout, and see who would be good opponentsfor that athletes here. Thank you.
Backstage, a limo arrives. Kurt Angle steps out and is quickly approached by Josh Mathews.
Mathews: Kurt, after you tapped out at URA Now!, how do you expect to beat Davey Richards tonight?
Kurt Angle: I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If it wasn't an official match, and there was no official referee, and it wasn't officially sanctioned, then I didn't officially tap out.
Mathews: Well I guess that's all we're going to get out of Mr. Angle. Let's take it to ringside!
Ted DiBiase is still standing in the ring. Misawa, Matheny, and Sapolsky have left.
DiBiase: Dirty Money, a team that I made, wants to bitch and moan about not having a title match? Well, I've gone through the trouble of finding them some opponents. So Teddy, Jack, Douglas, get your asses out here!
"You Ain't Nice" plays as the crowd cheers the URA Tag Team Champions. Shane Douglas leads the champions to the ring. He stops them from pandering to the crowd, and stops Jack when he goes to breakdance in the ring. He snatches the mic from DiBiase's hand.
Douglas: I told you guys to quit with this ****! You all are the tag team champions, and you look like jokes! I've told you all to look towards the Triple Threat! You don't need these stupid hip hop gimmicks!
Joey Styles: Ouch, Shane Douglas shutting down his clients.
Teddy and Jack look at each other, and reluctantly stop jumping around. Instead, they stand motionless staring at DiBiase. He snatches the mic back from Douglas.
DiBiase: Don't ever snatch anything from me again. You all wanted to defend your tag team titles? Well, I think I've found some formidable opponents. As a matter of fact, I've found three teams to go against you. This isn't just a tag team match boys, this is Tag Team Turmoil! Bring the first duo out here!
Match 1: Tag Team Turmoil for the URA Tag Team Championship-Dirty Money (c) vs ?
"The Truth" plays as Carlito Colon and the newest Rise Against member, Primo Colon, walk out along side Julius Smokes. They get into the ring to a chorus of boos.
Howard Finkle: The following contest is a Tag Team Turmoil match. Whenever a team is pinned, they are eliminated. The last team standing will be declared URA Tag Team Champions!
Jim Ross: What a huge way to kick off the night! The debut of Rise Against's newest member, Primo!
JS: He's teaming with his big brother, Carlito, and I hope he doesn't follow in his footsteps and take orders from these thugs.
Teddy Hart starts off with Carlito. Teddy gets control after a take down, and begins to work the mat game. Teddy does not seem as cocky and arrogant as usual. He lifts Carlito from the mat and hits him with a quick snap suplex for a two-count. Teddy tags in Jack, who flips over the rope into the ring. This draws the attention of Douglas, who begins yelling at Evans for wasting his enrgy getting into the ring. With Evans distracted by Douglas, Carlito plants a solid dropkick to his back, sending over the ropes into the waiting arms of Douglas, who ruthlessly drops Evans to the floor, then throws him back into the ring. Carlito goes for the pin, but the resilient Evans kicks out.
JR: Is Douglas trying to make his team lose?
Carlito tags in Primo. Primo scoop slams Jack, then quickly drops an elbow across Evans chest. He whips Jack into the corner, and Teddy lands a blind tag. Primo splashes Jack, but turns around into a small package from Teddy Hart for the three.
Rise Against has been eliminated.
SD: See? Nothing flashy, just keep it basic and you can get the win.
Douglas is interuppted by the theme from Full House. The song turns into "Toxic" by Brittany Spears. The crowd goes nuts when Jimmy and Colin, the Olsen Twins make their URA debut. Jack Evans slowly stands up next to Teddy and watches the Olsen Twins dash to ringside.
JS: Jimmy Olsen was featured in the first edition of URA Showcase, losing to Low Ki. I guess you could say...
The Olsen Twins swing clotheslines at Dirty Money at the same time, but Teddy and Jack duck and hit school boys for the three.
The Olsen Twins have been eliminated.
JS: ...he's a URA veteran...but he just took place in the shortest match in URA history.
SD: I told you. Stick to the basics and you're surely going to win! Only one more match guys, and you can walk out with the titles.
"Money" plays as DiBiase walks out onto the stage.
TD: That is, IF you can retain the tag team titles. Ladies and gentlemen, stand up and applaud your next URA Tag Team Champions...Edge and Christian Cage!
"Metalingus" plays as the brothers from Canada make their way to the ring. They recieve a mixed reaction. Jack steps back onto the ring apron, and Teddy ties up with Christian.
JR: This must've been what DiBiase was talking about to Gabe Sapolsky!!!
Christian quickly turns Teddy around and drops him with a reverse DDT. He goes for a cover, but only gets two. Teddy kips back up, but caught in an abdominal stretch. Christian uses his free arm to tag Edge, who comes in and kicks Teddy in the gut. Christian releases the hold and steps back onto the ring apron.
Edge backs Teddy into the ropes and whips him across. Teddy ducks a clothesline from Edge and goes for one of his own. Edge ducks Teddy's clothesline and hits him with a spinning wheel kick. He goes for the pin but Evans slides in and breaks up the attempt. The referee turns to get him out of the ring, and Christian slieds in and double teams Teddy. This drives Shane Douglas crazy, as he pulls Jack off the apron, screaming "Look what you made happen!", before slapping Jack across the face. Back in the ring, Edge has Teddy locked in a rear chinlock. Teddy fights up, but Edge throws him to the ropes. Teddy bounces back and hits a flying headscissors. Both men are down, and crawl towards their corners for the tag. Edge makes the tag first, and Christian rushes in to stop Teddy from making the tag.
Christian drags Teddy into the center of the ring and slams him knee into the mat. Teddy screams out in pain as Christian applies a leg lock. Teddy reaches for the ropes but they're too far away. Jack tries to get into the ring but Douglas stops him. Christian releases the hold and tags Edge. Edge pulls Teddy up by his hair but Teddy begins to fire shoots into Edge's midsection. Teddy finally tags in Jack, who comes in as a house of fire. He knocks Christian of the apron and then hits a cartwheel kickthat sends Edge to the outside. When Edge and Christian regroup, Jack runs towards the ropes and does a corkscrew moonsault to the outside. He throws Edge back in the ring and goes for the pin, but only gets a two. Christian jumps into the ring but is tackled by Teddy. The two roll outside and brawl.
Back in the ring, Evans picks Edge up and plants him with the Evans Driver. Jack calls for the 630 and goes up to the top rope. When he reaches the top, however, Douglas yells at him to get down and just go for the pin. Jack thinks for a second, and decides to go for the 630 anyway. Edge moves, and when Jack stands back up, Edge nearly breaks him in half with a Spear for the win.
JR: 1...2...3! We have new tag team champions.
Finkle: Your winners and NEW URA Tag Team Champions, Edge and Christian!
Winners: Edge and Christian Cage via pinfall at 13:54.
Edge and Christian walk away with the titles while being booed. Shane Douglas gets in the ring and looks at Jack and Teddy. He smacks them, and tells them to get the hell out of the ring.
Backstage, Amazing Kong, Chavo, and Homicide are in their locker room discussing their stratigies for their matches tonight. Primo and Carlito walk in with Julius Smokes.
Homicide: Ca-lito, anotha loss man? Anotha one? Den you tell me tuh bring in ya brotha, and he da one dat get pinned? Get da hell out of muh locka room!
Chavo: You all are disgraces. Say it with me. 'Dis-grace-es'. Tonight, me and Homicide will show you all how it's done.
Chavo's theme plays as he walks out of the locker room with Smokes. He steps out onto the stage to a chorus of boos. He taunts the crowd, drawing even more heat.
Match 2: Chavo Guerrero vs CM Punk
HF: The following contest is schedualed for one fall. Introducing first, from El Paso, Texas. Being accompanied by Julius Smokes, CHAVO GUERRERO!
The crowds' booing quickly turns to cheers when "Miseria Cantare" plays. CM Punk jogs out onto the stage. He asks the crowd what time it is, then answers himself with "It's Clobbering Time!" He hops in the ring and throws his shirt into the crowd.
HF: And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois. He is C...M...Punk!
Punk and Chavo go into a tie up, but release it after neither man can get position. They try a test of strength.. Punk puts his arm up again, but Chvo kicks him in the stomach and clubs him across the back. Punk falls down to his face and Chavo stomps the back of his head.
Jim Ross: Well, these two are very skilled technicians, but I guess Chavo doesn't want to show that off tonight!
Punk tries to get up, but Chavo stomps him back down. He pulls Punk's head up by the hair, then just lets go, making Punk's head snap down face first to the mat. Chavo unleashes a furious assualt on Punk and whips him to the ropes. When Punk rebounds, Chavo drops down to his belly, trying to trip Punk. Punk stops just shy of Chavo, and drops and elbow onto his ribs. Chavo rolls out of the ring as Punk throws up an X with his arms, screaming "I'm Better Than You!" at Chavo. The crowd erupts.
Chavo talks with Julius Smokes for a moment before turning around and drawing his fist back like he's going to hit a fan. The fan flinches, and Chavo laughs. He turns around, and is met with a plancha from Punk. Punk jumps up and shakes the fan's hand, before throwing Chavo in the ring. Smokes grabs Punk, but Punk throws him into the ring stairs. Punk gets in the ring as Chavo is starting to get up and goes for a kick to the midsection. Chavo catches Punk's foot, and Punk attempts an enzugiri. Chavo ducks the kick, but maintains control of Punk's leg. Punk hits the mat, and Chavo quickly locks on an STF. Punk tries to reach for the ropes, but he is too far away. Punk finally crawls towards the ropes, but when he reaches out to grab it, Smokes pulls it out, and further from Punk. The referee sees this and forces Chavo to break the hold.
Jim Ross: I hate to interrupt this match, but apparently there is an incident backstage!
Homicide is attacking Low Ki in the hallway. His vicious assualt concludes when he busts Ki open by slamming his head into a steel door. Carlito and Primo Colon open the door and throw Low Ki inside. Homicide instructs them to not let him out until after the main event.
Back in the ring Chavo has Punk grounded with a side headlock. Punk fights up to his feet, and counters with a back suplex into a bridging pin. Chavo kicks out and both men are down. They slowly stand up and Punk whips Chavo into the corner. He runs to the corner and attempts the knee, but Chavo moves. Punk screams out as his knee collides with the top turnbuckle. He slowly limps backwards, and is met with a chopblock.
Joey Styles: Shades of Ric Flair with that move by Chavo. Punk could've really damaged that knee on the turnbuckle.
Chavo has Punk's leg grapevined, and repeatedly punches his knee. Punk eventually fights, but Chavo kicks the leg out from under him. Chavo whips Punk into the corner and puts his leg around the ropes. He runs and hits a Shattered Dreams-type manuver to the knee. Smokes tells him to do it again. Punk moves this time however, and Chavo slams into the corner. Punk sets him up on the top and hooks his arms.
Ross: This could be the Pepsi Plunge!
Julius Smokes throws a chair into the ring. When the ref turns around to move it, Smokes cracks Punk in the knee with a slapjack. Punk falls backwards off the ropes, allowing Chavo to hit a frog splash for the 3.
Styles: Rise Against steals another win! Punk had the match in the bag.
Winner: Chavo Guerrero via pinfall at 27:01.
Chavo gets on the mic after throwing Punk out of the ring.
Chavo: See, this is what Rise Against is capable of. You'll get more proof of that tonight when Homicide wins the URA Heavyweight Championship. And I would like to announce right now, that I'm putting myself into the running for the URA Prodigy Championship!
Ross: Ladies and Gentlemen, at URA Now!, we saw Chris Jericho pick up a win in his debut, but then recieved a rather strange letter.
A video recaps the events of Jericho recieving the "I idolize you" letter.
Ross: Earlier today, Josh Mathews caught up with Jericho and asked him about the incident, when another occurred.
Mathews: Hello URA fans, I am Josh Mathews. The man at my side, you all should know as "The Lion Heart" Chris Jericho. Now Chris, you've won both of your first URA matches, first against Evans, then in a pre-show exhibition against Benjamin tonight. But I heard there's something else on your mind.
Jericho: Indeed there is Mercury. See, I've traveled all over this world, attracting millions of Jerichoholics, and they've given me many gifts. But this letter I recieved, is bothering me. It's eating at me. I can't shake the feeling it gives me junior!
A man walks up with a white box.
Man: Which one of you is Mr. Jericho?
Jericho: That'd be me, junior.
The man hands Jericho the box. He opens it, revealing a dozen black roses. Attatched to the flowers is a note reading "Join us."
Joey Styles: Some strange events occurring in Chris' life right now. But we are ready now for our main event at URA Collision Night 1!
A split screen shows Kurt Angle on one side, and Davey Richards on the other. Angle is snapping the URA Prodigy Championship around his waist. Richards is doing jumping jacks when "Runnin With The Devil" starts playing. Richards immediatly stops jumping, and walks intently towards the entrance.
Match 3: URA Prodigy Championship-Kurt Angle(c) vs Davey Richards
Finkle: The following contest is schedualed for one fall, and it is for the URA Prodigy Championship! Introducing first, from Othello, Washington, he is the challenger. Weighing in tonight at 205 lbs., Davey RICHARDS!
Fans attempt to high five Davey, but he walks towards the ring. He is not disrespecting the fans, he is simply focusing on the task at hand.
"Gold Metal" turns the happy crowd into a sea of boos as Kurt Angle steps on stage. He grits his teeth at the camera, revealing a mouthguard with "TAPOUT" written across it.
Finkle: Next, his opponent. From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the URA Prodigy Champion, weighing in at 220 lbs., Kurt ANGLE!
Angle gets booed even more. He hands the belt to the referee, who holds it up for the crowd to see. Richards attacks Angle as he tries to take his hoody off. Davey is determined from the opening bell. He busts Angle's nose open in one of his opening blows. It is apparent that these two men came to fight.
The blood only fuels Angle, who trips Davey and begins punching him in the head. The referee gets between the two in an attempt to seperate them, but is pushed to the side. This gives Richards an opening, as he thumbs Kurt in the eye. Kurt stumbles back, and Richards is quickly up. He runs towards Angle, but is quickly snapped over with a Belly-to-Belly suplex. Angle floats over right as Davey hits the ground and locks on a front facelock. Davey fights up and turns Angle's arm into an arm-wringer. Angle bends to relieve the pressure, but Davey attempts a kick to the face. Angle uses his free arm in catch the leg and goes for an early Ankle Lock. Richards quickly grabs the ropes.
Throughout the match, the two put on an impressive showing for the crowd. Davey uses his stiff strikes to gain the upperhand, while Angle utilizes his amatuer background to subdue Davey. During an exchange of blows, Richards is knocked to the outside in front of the announce table. Kurt Angle sommersaults off the top rope, landing on Richards. Davey's ankle twists on impact, and he screams out in pain. EMTs comes out, but Davey fights them off and returns to the ring to fight Angle.
Angle works over the ankle. Richards eventually fights back and goes for the DR Driver, but can't pull it off because of his ankle. Kurt spins out an hooks Davey for the Angle Slam, but Richards captures Kurt's arm and locks in the 14:59. Angle refuses to tap out, and it seems as though he's locked in for an eternity.
At the end, Kurt misses a moonsault. Richards stalks him, and as Angle begins to rise, Davey attempts one of the stiffest kicks ever seen in wrestling. Angle has it scouted though, and grabs the foot and locks in the Ankle Lock. Davey taps out.
Jim Ross: What a showing!
Howard Finkle: Your winner and still URA Prodigy Champion, Kurt ANGLE!
Winner: Kurt Angle via submission at 45:23.
Kurt shakes Davey's hand as a vignette for Night 2's main event is featured.
Low Ki is seen standing against a wall. A video recaps moments of his career as his voice speaks over the visuals.
Low Ki: I've honed my skills, and carved my niche all over the world. I am a warrior, I am a spiritual being, and I have the soul of a fighter. Homicide has tried to end my quest for gold, but he shall remain unsuccessful. I am Low Ki.
Samoa Joe is sitting in a locker-room, taping up his wrists. A video shows his heritage, and his physical prowess.
Samoa Joe: From Jimmy Snuka, to Yokozuna, to The Rock. Many great Samoans have graced professional wrestling. Peter Maivia, The Headshrinkers. But one will rise above them all. The new generation? Umaga? Manu? Siaki? Jokes. Only one man can carry the legacy of Samoan wrestling into the future. And that man, is ME!
Homicide is hanging out with Rise Against. Julius Smokes is obviously holding the camera, as Homicide drives down the road, yelling at the camera.
Homicide: Yea...bitch ass Low Ki! You think you gunna win the title at Collision? Nah, son. Dis is my chance, the chance to show da world who Rise Against is! If deez two can stop gettin dey ass beat by dat drug free wannabe CM Punk, den dey can get dey shot at dem tag titles. Rise Against wit all da gold, bank on it!
"The Dagger" Bryan Danielson is sparring in a gym. While a video of him destroying his sparring partner is shown, his vice is heard over top.
Danielson: Hype. It's a big thing in our industry. You need it to get recognized. Well, if you wanna call what I have 'hype', then believe it. Everytime is step through the curtain, I'm met with the same chant. "Best in the World! Best in the World!" At Collision, I will prove my hype, by winning the URA Championship.
