Before the show starts and video begins to play where we see a black skyline with heavy drops of rain falling down. We slowly travel through he rain almost ignoring it is there, as we move forward the darkness begins to turn to light, many lights in fact, all of varying colours. The rain now begins to slow down as we stare across at the Las Vegas sky line, the moment the rain stops ‘Race Against Myself’ by Offspring plays and with a quick flash of lighting we begin to watch a recap of the WFWF pay per view Distance. We see the crowning of new WFWF Tag Team, National and Women’s champions, Ganador’s victory in the New Breed battle royal, Saku retaining the International title, CBT’s victory over Slayer, Ray Smith getting the pin over WFWF hall of famer Stuart, the brutal encounter between Master Of Destruction and Total Apocalypse and then as the video ends Johnny ‘The Movie Man’ Michaels posing on top of the Cell Of Sin holding the WFWF World title. The video then fades out into the opening credits of WFWF Code Red.
The show begins with the sight of the Code Red stage where fireworks and pyros are going off causing blinding explosions and eardrum shaking explosions. We pan around the arena seeing the Code Red ring set up in the center of the arena where it is surrounded by the eighteen thousand fans that have sold out the Staples Center this evening. Suddenly the lights in the arena cut out. The opening of "You can run" plays and as the main part of the song kicks in there is a huge explosion. Master of Destruction then appears through the curtain. We see that he has a neck brace on and a bandage on his head. He walks down the ring gingerly before climbing up the steps and through the ropes with some pain. He takes a microphone from ringside and begins to speak.
MOD:Last night, I wrestled in a bloodbath. Last night in my barbed wire chain match myself and Total Apocalypse fought to the limit. I picked up one of my biggest WFWF victories to date but it came at a price. I spent last Sunday night in a Las Vegas medical facility. I had to get a blood transfusion, six stapled in my head and a number of stitched in my back. You see this neck brace; underneath this is a scar that goes round the diameter of my throat. I lost more blood in that match than I think I have lost in my whole wrestling career. But the fact that I got busted up isn’t why I am standing here unable to enjoy completely my glory. I noticed something about the crowd last night, something that can be said for every single WFWF crowd. I realised that last night when I put a wrestling hold on Total Apocalypse there was a hush, when I tried to wrestle the fans were not satisfied but yet when I got that chain and barbed wire hooked into my skull you loved it. You guys never were cheering for me. You were cheering for my blood. So now, I strike back. Now you can stop with your two faced cheering. You guys can show your true colours. However I have a confession to make. I was using you guys upon my return. I don’t need you guys to cheer me but the reason I allowed it when I returned was because I needed the money from my merchandise. But I am making a groundbreaking decision. From this moment on I, Master of Destruction refuse to take risks for your entertainment. From now on I come to the ring wrestle my opponents and get out of town. I will no longer hit any highflying moves and I refuse to sign for any matches with special stipulations. I will no longer but my ass on the line for you blood thirsty pieces of trash. From now on I am looking after number one. From now on I am concentrating on myself. It is my time to shine and I am going to start next week on Hybrid and the world will know that I am not to be taken advantage of. I am focused and I am ready to get the job done. Get ready because you are going to see a different Master of Destruction.
Master of Destruction drops the microphone and slowly leaves the ring before walking backstage to a lot of boos. We follow MOD into the backstage area, he steps through the curtains and turns a right when suddenly a screwed up piece of paper hits him on the chest and drops to the floor. MOD pauses and looks down at the paper before ducking down to pick it up and unroll it, MOD stares at the paper for a few seconds when a cough is heard. MOD gets back to his feet and looks dead ahead where he sees the banged up and bandaged WFWF World Champion, Johnny ‘The Movie Man’ Michaels lent against a wall staring at the floor.
Michaels: Your right….their over. You held up your part of the bargain and now the UIA is gone, we still have a score to settle. I’ll let you know when the time is right.
The scene then fades out as MOD watches Michaels head off into the backstage area. We now return to ringside for the first match of the night.
Debut Match
Da Gangsta Vs Justin Tyger
At the ring we find Da Gangsta already stood in the ring warming up as he awaits for his opponent. Suddenly ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ by At Vance hits the speakers and the crowd give a few cheers as Justin Tyger walks though the curtains onto the Code Red stage. Tyger poses quickly at the top of the ramp before making his way to the ring, once at the ring Tyger climbs onto the apron and poses again before climbing through the ropes into the ring.
The bell sounds and both men lock up, Tyger takes control of the match first with a few chops to Da Gangsta’s chest and then a arm drag to take him down. Tyger keeps in charge of the match for a few minutes with his biggest offensive move coming from running DDT followed with a standing shooting star press on Gangsta for the cover….1…2.. but Da Gangsta kicks out. Tyger then pulls Gangsta back but as he goes Da Gangsta gets in some punches to Tyger’s ribs before hitting a knee smash on him, as Tyger then stumbles back a few steps Gangsta takes control of the match with a running clothesline to Justin. Now Gangsta takes control of the match using a few power moves such as a scoop slam and vertical suplex to keep Tyger dazed. Da Gangsta looks to end the match as he whips Tyger across the ring and then drives him into the mat with a Samoan drop, Da Gangsta then makes the cover…..1….2.. but Tyger kicks out. Da Gangsta now gets to his feet and with the referees back turned he ducks down to pull out a set of brass knuckles from inside his boot, he then turns back looking to hit his finisher the Iron Knuckles but as he turns Tyger has leaped to his feet and suddenly nails Da Gangsta across the jaw with the TygerKick, Justin Tyger then drops down and makes the cover…..1…..2….3
Winner: Justin Tyger
Following the match Tyger stands to his feet and celebrates his first victory in the WFWF as the crowd applauds the strong debut. As Tyger stands on the second rope with his arms raised high the scene fades out.
We now find ourselves following a familiar looking man walking down a sidewalk in a calm outer city neighbourhood. To either side of the man are two floored houses with large gardens that have bright green blades of grass that are shined down from by the sun in the clear sky above. The man continues to walk through this estate whistling a tune as he does, but then he suddenly pauses and his eyes tighten as if a sixth sense had alerted him to something, the man now looks across the street to see a little blonde haired girl crying at the foot of a tree at the edge of her garden. The girl has her arms raised in the air as if trying to reach something, as the man scans the higher parts of the tree he sees a little white kitten sitting on a branch looking terrified of the height it is at. Suddenly, the man rips open the suit he wears to relive a superhero costume under it with the letter ‘F’ across the chest, we see the man now stood in a superhero pose as we recognise him to be WFWF hall of famer Future. Future dashes across the still, pauses in front of the little girl to indicate to her to stop crying before he suddenly leaps high into the air landing on the same branch as the kitten. Future very carefully slides across the kitten and then picks it up with one arm, he then looks down at the girl and smiles before, without warning, swinging his arm in an American football like motion to hurl the kitty through the air, over a house across the street and into a swimming pool. Future then jumps down from the tree and takes one last look at the little girl before walking off as the scene fades to the words ‘I said, I ain’t your hero’. After a few seconds the words disappear and we return to ringside for the next match.
Return & Debut Match
Thunder Vs Ravel
‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC hits the speakers and after a few seconds the fans give some slight cheers for the return of Los Hobos member Thunder. Thunder heads to either side of the stage to wave to the crowd before beginning his walk down the ramp. Once at ringside Thunder rolls into the ring and then poses on the second rope once inside. The sound of tree branches falling now takes over the speakers as Ravel makes his way out from the back and down the ramp accompanied by his manager Jarulg. Once at ringside Jarulg heads around to the camera side of the ring whilst Ravel climbs onto the apron, from the apron he stares down Thunder before climbing into the ring.
The bell sounds and both men break out into a brawl, they both throw shots back and forth for a few seconds before Ravel comes out on top by racking Thunder’s eyes. Ravel then whips Thunder across the ring and follows up after him taking him down with a kitchen sink like move. Thunder flips over and lands on his back where Ravel works him over with a few stomps before pulling him back to his feet again, with Thunder up and now begins to choke him with both hands around his throat. Thunder stumbles back a few spaces before then ramming his knee into Ravels chest, Thunder repeats the shot three times when it finally manages to break the choke and knock the monster down onto one knee, as Ravel drops down Thunder runs off the ropes and comes back to hit a shinning wizard on him. Ravel drops the mat and Thunder makes the cover….1…2.. but Ravel kicks out. Thunder quickly gets to his feet and moves around to Ravels back then the moment the monster stands he locks his arms around his waist and hits a German suplex on him which Thunder holds for a bridge cover….1…2.. but again Ravel kicks out. Thunder now gets back up bringing Ravel to his feet also, he looks to clothesline him across the ring but Ravel blocks and pulls Thunder back into a short arms clothesline. Thunder hits the mat and Jarulg jumps onto the apron distracting the referee as Ravel removes the protective cover from the top turnbuckle, Ravel then pulls Thunder to his feet and places him between his legs for a powerbomb. Jarulg steps off of the apron as Ravel swings Thunder onto his shoulders and looks to powerbomb him onto the top turnbuckle, but just as he goes for the move Thunder slips free and falls back slamming Ravels face into the steel buckle with a split legged facebuster and then Thunder follows by leaping over with a sunset flip for the cover….1…2…3
Winner: Thunder
Following the match Thunder dives out of the ring and raises his arms in victory as he heads up the ramp looking back at the fallen Ravel in the ring as the shows focus changes. We now find ourselves in the backstage area where WFWF interview is standing holding a microphone.
Jones: Good evening fans, I’ am standing with the women who, at Distance, defeated her rival in a glass tables match, Cherri Bomb…
Cherri Bomb steps into the picture next to Jones.
Jones:… firstly, congratulations on your victory, but I have to ask, where are the rest of Distinction tonight?
Cherri Bomb: Thank you, and both Immune and Josh are still in Las Vegas, after both their misfortunes at Distance they didn’t feel like travelling here today.
Jones: Ok, well anyway, more importantly, is this thing between you and Meg over? We all saw you pick up the victory at Distance but immediately afterward Meg attacked you outside the ring in front of your own son.
Cherri Bomb: Well I have a tag team match against Meg at Hybrid so I might look to put it all to rest there, as for….
Suddenly Cherri Bomb falls to the floor as a mirror smashes over the back of her head. Now standing in Bomb’s place holding the mirror frame is WFWF diva Meg.
Meg: The ticker on the timer is running out…I will expose you for the fraud you are.
Meg now stomps on Bombs chest before dropping the frame and walking out of the scene as it fades out as we return to ringside for the next match.
Singles Match
Percy Vs Playboy Ash
‘Last Resort’ by Papa Roach hits the speakers and the crowd cheers as one half of the WFWF tag team champions steps onto the stage, Percy makes his way right to the top of the ramp where he removes the WFWF tag title belt from his waist and holds it above his head with both hands. After a few seconds he places the belt over his shoulder and makes his way down the ramp on the way high fiving a few crowd members. Once at ringside he throws the belt into the ring and rolls into it himself and then grabs his title once more to climb onto the second rope and pose with it. ‘Sexy Boy’ hits the speakers and one half of the Playboys heads out onto the stage in the shape of Playboy Ash. Some of the fans begin to boo as he poses at the top of the ramp before making his way down it to the ring. Once ringside Ashe walks up the ring steps onto the apron where he looks around at the crowd before climbing into the ring.
Before the bell even sounds Percy tackles Ash into the corner and begins to ram his shoulder into Ash over and over as the referee calls for the bell. The bell sounds and the match officially begins after Percy’s fifth shoulder ram into Ash, Percy then steps back and as Ash stumbles forward he grabs the back of Ash’s head to run his eyes along the ring ropes only letting Ash go as the referee reaches four in his illegal move count. Once Percy lets go Ash stumbles around the ring some more before walking into a running back elbow from Percy, Ash now falls down hitting against the turnbuckle before then dropping to the floor in a sit down position. Percy looks at Ash before pacing around the ring slapping on his buttocks, Percy then stands right in front of Ash with his back to him and proceeds to pull down the back of his trousers slightly to expose his a$$ to the arena. Percy slaps his butt one more time before slowly backing it toward Ash’s face but without a second to spare the Playboy swings his leg up to low blow Percy before he can hit the move, Percy stumbles forward in obvious pain as Ash gets to his feet and grabs the back of Percy’s pants to not only pull them back up but to give the tag team champion a wedgey in the center of the ring and then after a few seconds Ash slams Percy to the mat with a back suplex, Ash then makes the cover….1.. but Percy kicks out. Ash pulls Percy back to his feet and lays some elbow smashes to his face before taking Percy down with an arm drag which Ash follows up with an arm bar lock. Ash swings for a clothesline but Percy ducks and catches him from behind with a neckbreaker drop. Ash remains down on the mat as Percy heads to the corner, climbs to he top rope and leaps off hitting the Shopping Cart Special for the cover…1….2…3
Winner: Percy
Percy is now handed his tag title back as he celebrates holding it above his head in the center of the ring as the shows focus changes. We now see WFWF interviewer Derek Smith stood holding a microphone.
Derek: Ladies and gentleman I am stood with the man who at Distance had, what was perhaps, the biggest match of his career as he defeated the former WFWF World champion Slayer, I am here with the Current Big Thing Tha…
Suddenly the microphone is snatched from Smiths hand and Smith is pushed to one side as Tha CBT stands in his place.
CBT: Lets not waste time, yeah I’ll give credit where credit is due, Slayer, you did take me to the limit but I beat you so now it’s time for me to progress….it’s time for me to move on to bigger and better things, yet, that isn’t the case. At Hybrid I have a match against Master Of Destruction which is rumoured to be a match to determine the new World title number one contender….I have to ask, why is this only a rumour? Why isn’t this match, the main event of Hybrid no less an official number one contenders match? No in fact, why am I not the number one contender? Why do I have to go through Master Of Destruction first? I just beat Slayer….Slayer! A former World champion, has Master Of Destruction ever won the World title? No, he had a chance to and he failed so why does he deserve another chance? The answer…he doesn’t, there is something going on in the WFWF, some kind of influence in the bored rooms designed to keep me down…but mark my words, I will find out who the influence is and I will inflect a new level of innovation on them.
CBT then drops the microphone and walks out of the scene as it fades out and we return to ringside.
Tag Team Match
Luther Castle & Calvin Lee Vs Ganador & Jaysin ‘The One
‘Hybrid Stigmata-The Apostasy’ by Dimmu Borgir hits the speakers and the fans boo as the tag team of Luther Castle and Calvin Lee walk out onto the stage. Both men pose at the top of the ramp before then making their way to the ring, halfway down the ramp Castle runs the remaining distance and slides into the ring whilst Lee makes his way around to the steps and climbs up them. Once both men are in the ring they climb up onto the second ropes and raise their arms in the air as they wait. ‘Big Time’ by Soundtrack Of Our Lives takes over the speakers and the fans cheer as Ganador steps through the curtains followed by Jaysin ‘The One’, the pair split up heading to either side of the stage to work the crowd before returning to the center to make their way to the ring. Once the duo reach ringside they climb up onto the apron and look across as Luther and Calvin, they then enter the ring and pose on the second ropes for a few seconds before stepping back down. Both teams now talk tactics for a few seconds before Ganador and Luther Castle climb onto the apron leaving Jaysin and Lee as the legal men.
The bell rings and Jaysin and Calvin lock up in the center of the ring, Lee takes control locking Jaysin in a headlock but the one pushes out and sends Lee off the ropes to only have Lee return with a clothesline. Jaysin hits the mat, rolls over and gets back to his feet to be hit with a double underhook suplex from Calvin. Lee pulls Jaysin up and whips him into the corner where Luther stands, then begins to lay a few shots to Jaysin’s face before tagging in Luther, Castle climbs into the ring and pulls Jaysin out of the corner to place him in a suplex position, as Luther sets up Lee joins him with the move and the pair hit a double vertical suplex on Jaysin. The official then forces Lee out of the ring and Castle makes the cover….1…2.. but Ganador dives in and makes the save. The referee now tells Ganador to leave the ring whilst Luther pulls Jaysin to his feet, locks his arms around the ones chest and hits an overhead release belly-to-belly suplex throwing Jaysin across the ring to the far corner where Ganador stands. Following the move Jaysin hits the mat and rolls over onto his chest whilst Luther paces around the ring smiling and laughing, after a few seconds Luther races toward Jaysin spotting him recovering to one knee but as Luther gets close Jaysin jumps to his feet and slams a axe handle shot over Luther’s head knocking him down, following the move Jaysin then dives across to tag in Ganador. Ganador quickly climbs to the top rope and the moment Luther Castle stands back to his feet he jumps off hitting a missile dropkick on him, Luther hits the mat but quickly begins getting to his feet as Ganador gets up and runs off the ropes coming back to hit a spinning shoulder dive on Luther knocking him back down as he stood. Ganador now stalks over Luther waiting for him to stand then the second he does he try’s for the GanaDDT, however, Luther blocks and as Ganador swings back he lifts him off of the mat to drive Ganador down with a spinebuster motion. With Ganador down Luther stumbles to his corner and tags in Calvin Lee, Lee runs across and stomps on Ganador three times before whipping him off of the ropes, however unseen by Lee is that Jaysin tags himself in as Ganador hits the ropes. Ganador bounces back into the center of the ring where Calvin hits a powerslam on him, as Lee then gets back to his feet Jaysin runs up behind him and as he is seconds away from striking Lee, Jaysin is hit with a powerful clothesline knocking him down. The shot came from a man who just ran down the ramp and slide into the ring, the man is familiar as he is the third member of the Triumvirate Lion Merteuil. Calvin Lee now tags in Luther who heads over to Ganador and works him over with some stomps whilst Lee joins Lion in doing the same to Jaysin, after a few shows Castle pulls Ganador up whilst Castle pulls Jaysin up and both men set them up for their version of the Burning Hammer, seconds later they drive their opponents into the mat completing the move as Lion leans back against the ropes watching on. Percy is in obvious pain from the move as Ash looks to make him tap but after around thirty seconds Percy rolls over to push Ash onto his shoulders for the cover….1….2.. but Ash breaks the cover by releasing the hold and both men return to their feet. Ash swings for a clothesline but Percy ducks and catches him from behind with a neckbreaker drop. Percy then stands behind Ash and as he stands to his feet then the moment Ash is up to his vertical base Percy slams him down with the money-maker.
Luther now makes the cover on Ganador….1….2….3
Winners: Luther Castle & Calvin Lee
Lion now pulls out a wad of cash from his pocket and flicks through it removing around half of it as he does. Lion now hands the money over to the match official before then linking arms with Luther and Lee, his fellow Triumvirate members and then all three raise their arms in victory as the scene fades to the back. We see three members of the WFWF roster, Cecil Caster, Reverend Shadow and The Black Widow stood in the boiler room of the arena. The stand looking into a section of dark shadow where an unknown figure sits rocking back and forth slightly.
Shadow: He’s ready.
Caster: It is time to so the world our new member
Black Widow: And then later…the second plague.
The scene then fades out as the group walks into the shadow where the other figure stands.
