Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, Conseco Fieldhouse
Main Event; Heavyweight Title Tourney Match
Reverend Shadow vs. Wayne McGurk
It was a hard fought match, both McGurk and Reverend gave it there all. In the end Reverend was able to get the upper hand and reversed a maneuver and landed the clothesline from heaven and got the pin for a three. Both men left the match with respect for one another despite the intense situation that it was.
Winner: Reverend Shadow
Handicap Match
Obo vs. The New Phenomenon
The NP had a chance to prove themselves but despite their immense effort, the veteran Obo came out victorious. The was a shock to some, but to most in the back it was a match they considered not even worth his time.
Winner: Obo
Singles Match
Danny Vice vs. Thunder
Danny came out strong but in the end Thunder was the bigger man. It was a win for Revolution and with everything boiling down to the PPV it seems this was a big step forward for them.
Winner: Thunder
Singles Match
Kurt Burton vs. Skyler Striker
The two men lock up in the center of the ring. Burton starts to over power Striker but Striker escapes with a knee to the gut followed by a vicious chop. Burton shakes off the chop and delivers a nasty headbutt which dazes Striker. The crowd begins to boo, but the booing is way too loud for the headbutt, and the booing isn’t directed at Kurt Burton at all, but what’s going on on the ramp, as Obo has made his way out onto the stage with a broom in hand. Obo runs down the ramp with his cleaning item in hand and quickly meets Kurt Burton as he slides in. Kurt lets out an awkward grin and extends his hand to Obo, who hits Kurt right between the eyes with the broom stick to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Kurt stumbles backwards and rolls right out of the ring. Striker is back to his feet but unaware of Obo’s entrance into the ring. Striker turns around slowly, right into a vicious broom shot to the stomach, drilling Striker hard enough to split the broom stick in half. Striker slides out of the ring in retreat as Obo demands a microphone.
Obo: What the f*ck was that? I grabbed a broom, figuring these two would at least survive that, but they couldn’t even put up enough of a fight to survive a broom!
The crowd showers Obo in boos as he tosses his broken broom to the outside.
Obo: I had an ulterior motivate to come out here, and not just because I like to hit people with random stuff. This Sunday night, I face my biggest test to date. The WFWF Heavyweight championship, live on Pay Per View, at Ascension. It’s been THREE F*CKING YEARS! THREE YEARS that I’ve waited for this! Three years of crappy mismatches with Justin Tyme and Johnny Arsenic. Three years of pointless battle royals! Three years of barbed wire cage matches and drums of liquid nitrogen! THREE F*CKING YEARS! This Sunday night, it all comes to a head. This Sunday night, destiny is fulfilled. This Sunday night, I become the WFWF Heavyweight champion. I now return you to your regularly scheduled snoozefest..
"Anarchy in the UK" by Sex Pistols begins to play over the loud speakers as Obo drops the microphone in the center of the ring. The camera makes a quick sweep over the carnage that Obo has created before cutting away.
Winner: None
Tag Team Match
Reckless & Christian Shields vs. Yukio Blaze & Josh DeanBoth Shields and Reckless tried to coexist but despite their efforts they just could not hold it together. Blaze and Dean eventually took control and then proceeded to dominate the match up without any problem. In the end it only caused more ill feelings between Shields and Reckless that will surely be addressed at the PPV.
Winner: Dean & Blaze
