I only remember like 2 in wfwf in the last 3 years, one was CBT vs ZM and the other was I think between 2 legends. It more or less gives more to do with the match, less emphasis needs to be paid on the pure rules, because at any moment really Obo or Wayne can pick up a submission or a pinfall yet that won't end the match. They gotta maintain an advantage. I also think the suggested match, is the best not to if even considered gimmicky match. |

Both would wrestle about thirty minute matches anyways. Then you have something like Joe vs. Angle where Joe is undefeated for how long, then gets pinned like three times in thirty minutes? See and that is where I chime in that these two have met on various occasions. More so that this wouldn't be a rubber match, but not an easy challenge for either. And while Pure Rules is hardly different from standard rules, something different needed to happen for this match, since both have had awesome encounters and put eachother through stuff only their roleplays from aroun 8-10 months ago can do justice. I think in alot of ways you're right, but these are what some people consider the top two wrestlers in the wfwf, and they're no strangers to one another. So the ante needed to be upped, and I think they could play the outlast game. No matter who writes this I think I'm gonna do the match in 5-minute intervals, so hopefully in the end result you'll like what you see. Won't be patchy. |
