Ahh Shenmue. I just finished playing the series AGAIN, with Shenmue on Dreamcast and Shenmue 2 on Xbox. And i gotta say every time i go back to it, the game never ceases to amaze me. With the extremley interactive world and compelling storyline it has to be one of the greatest series ever. Shame it dident sell to well And its sad to hear there cancelling out a next gen Shenmue to. Anyway what are your thoughts on this series?

I love Shenmue, but it's one of the top factors that went into killing the Dreamcast. It cost, and there are varying reports, but the most accurate isn't the one in the book of world records at 20 million. It is actually the equivalent to 70 million US dollars. That if ing insane. There is no way in hell they could have expected to recoup that money. Mix that with the lack of EA support and the WAY too early launch of the console, it's no wonder the system isn't around anymore.

God I loved that game. The dialogue just made it that much better.
"Have you seen any sailors?"

It's one of those games you either love or hate. I personally love it.
