Why do people feel that MEM beating down Joe, Styles etc every week is burying them? Its called building a storyline. Its not burying them. The same thing happened with the nWo. Was it burying Sting when he would drop from the ceiling and Vincent, Scott Norton and Buff Bagwell would beat the hell out of him? No, it builds the story as "the guys that cant" so when they actually go out and do it gives them more kayfabe credibility. We are not in 1997 anymore, the height of wrestling was kayfabe was still alive. This is 2009. Whatever formula worked in 97, can not be transfered over as it will likely fail. There are obvious exceptions but this is 2009, we have slightly different views |
