Alright now im no cena fan and i know lots of people put hate on him for being champion so long and getting all these chances at it but what about Edge.
Doesnt anyone think that Edge having 7, yes 7, world title reigns is far too much considering edges calibre?
He has even surpassed Austin and equalled the Rock. Edges reigns are generally pretty short and all but to have 7 and at this point, doesnt anyone think its a bit much?
And for the record, Cena is 4 times the champ.

No, and i'll give you one SIMPLE reason...
Edge has busted his ass for the WWE for 10+ years now. Not to mention, it took him 8 years ( I think ) to win his first major singles title. It took Cena, what? 3? Edhe won his at a New Years Revolution, Cena... WrestleMania. A BIG difference.
Also, Edge has proven time and time again... he can carry a match, unlike Cena. Where Cena needs someone GREAT to make him look good. Such as Shawn Michaels, Triple H, etc. His match tonight with JBL was just as bad as their match at WrestleMania 21.

The problem is Cena's 4 WWE/World Title R uns = 803 + (est.) Edge's 7 WWE/World Title Runs = 323 + (est.) Am I the only one who sees a problem with that?  Edge is in no way worthy, of having seven world title reigns, IMO.. Yeah, because busting his butt for TEN plus years and being one of the biggest heels going today - is in no way worthy of 7 SHORT title runs.  |

But IMO the time Edge and Cena have spent in WWE shouldnt matter, as Edge wasnt always the Rated R Superstar, the top heel. It took Edge 8 years to perfect his character, thats rests on him. It just happened to take Cena 3 years to perfect his.

True no doubt about that, but on paper its 7 as opposed to 4. So depends how you look at it. Im not saying edge didnt deserve to be champion, he damn well did, just 7 times with several being short and barely eventful, its not right. |

i don't put much stock into how many times someone is champion. it only annoys me how triple h is seemingly trying to pad out his amount to beat flair's. but the length of a reign more important.

from a storyline perspective with the gm being his wife all of his recent reigns make sense

He deserves every one of those title reigns because he is the best in the business at the moment (IMO).
he turns a terrible story line (marrying vickie) into a some what entertaining story line just because he is good enough to do that. he entertains me everyweek weather he be on the stick or in the ring

Edge deserves to be champion, but I agree that seven times in under three years is a bit too much. The problem isn't with whether Edge deserves seven title reigns, its that he deserves lengthy title reigns, which he just isn't getting.

I believe edge wholeheatedly deserves world title reigns, he worked his way up and really got himself to where he is at. But on paper, its 7 title reigns which is MASSIVE, absolutely massive and he isnt anywhere near done. The fact is, the reigns shouldnt be so short and numerous (also uneventful) but more substantial, fewer and more eventful. i don't put much stock into how many times someone is champion. it only annoys me how triple h is seemingly trying to pad out his amount to beat flair's. but the length of a reign more important. Thats another thing however WWE treasures HHH like he's a gem. He held the WWE title in 08 for so long. WWE give him numerous and substantial reigns and i do see him matching or beating flairs record. |

I like both of these guys...Come on now though. EDGE will never be as big of a draw as Cena. Its the truth. Cena is a much bigger name and brings WWE much more money. I love edge. More than Cena. But its true.
