Former Ring of Honor stand-out Doug Williams is in the middle of a one-year deal with TNA, which he signed last June to make regular TV appearances.
However, Williams has barely been used on TV and he's hoping the current U.K. tour will convince TNA management to bring him to Orlando for Impact tapings on a more regular basis before his contract expires.
"I'd definitely like to be with TNA for as long as possible because it has international television exposure and it’s good for boosting my own profile," Williams told Kent News in the U.K. to promote tonight's London house show. "I'm contracted until June, so you would have thought they'd want to use me again at some point."
The England-born Williams said the show in London on Saturday night is TNA's biggest show to-date with over 7,000 tickets sold as of Tuesday. He said the tour has been successful, and he was expecting to hear a negative reaction on the first stop in Ireland.
"I was booed out of the building in Dublin but I expected that," Williams said. "I received a good reaction in England though, which was really good."

Couldn't agree more . Doug Williams is a fantastic wrestler and just a great guy. I met him last year at the Brentwood the TNA Show and him Lethal and AJ put on the match of the night it was fantastic, i really would love to see Doug vs Angle or AJ or Lethal again. I really think he could be good in TNA, but hes an international superstar and they don't normally do well in the big US promotions, British Bulldog being the exception. But i hope TNA does do something with him coz he can put on fantastic matches.

he should help the Front Line out when the Mafia is owning at the end of a ppv He is not an original. He's good don't get me wrong, but it wouldn't make sense to put him in that feud.

A TNA original is someone whose national exposure started in TNA, not someone who was with TNA from the start... if a should-be-jobber like Consequences Creed can be in the Frontline I don't see why Williams couldn't.
That said... he didn't come from WCW or WWE so I'd imagine his climb up the proverbial company ladder will be difficult, if not impossible.

He is not an original. He's good don't get me wrong, but it wouldn't make sense to put him in that feud. Nor are Joe, Rhino and the Dudleys.. Joe is tied to AJ. Rhino is an original as he was with NWA-TNA and won the NWA title way back in the day. Dudleys are tied to a promotion (ECW) where the respect level was made up from young/up and coming talent. That is how they can be tied to the Frontline. Williams has none of that.

"back in the day" - when did '05 become "back in the day"?
