Fresh off the heels of a successful U.K. tour that include the most-attended show in company history, TNA has confirmed a six-date tour of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland at the end of September through the first week of October. The dates scheduled include German dates of Friday, September 25 in Nuremburg, Saturday, Sept. 26 in Chemnitz, Tuesday, Sept. 29 in Dortmund, and Wednesday, Sept. 30 in Hanover. Austria has one scheduled stop in Linz on Sunday, Sept. 27 and Switzerland's date is Friday, Oct. 2 in Basel to wrap up the tour. WWE has traditionally toured these three countries on their bi-annual European tours. WWE's next European tour is in April, right after WrestleMania 25, and they have two dates booked in Austria, one date in Germany, and one date in Switzerland. FYI: Advanced ticket sales for TNA's "First Impact" Tour 2009 are scheduled to go on-sale this Wednesday. CALDWELL'S ANALYSIS: International is TNA's market, which I wrote about last week following their successful U.K. tour. It will be interesting to see how TNA fares in Western Europe, before possibly running a tour in Italy, where wrestling has been in high-demand the past few years. Read more about TNA's long-term success tied to the international market. Caldwell's Take. I bet TNA will just pack up and leave the USA and have the head quarters, Impact, PPVs, and House Shows over seas. They are making more money over there in a 4-5 day period then they do in the US in 2 months.
