Jeff didn't need to go on Television about his wife, it wasn't needed, i wouldn't be surpised if that was done to give the fans more sympathy for his face title run..

Yea but Jill Jarrett helped in the success of TNA. All Jeff Jarrett did was thank the fans for their support, and to tell them he won't be wrestling for a long time because a wrestling ring would be the worst place for him right now. They didn't overdue it at all. Completely different from the WWE jackasses who exploit the death of Eddie Guerrero, and now the fake death of Vince McMahon. |

Some douchebags will whine about anything. Jeff made a very emotional thank you and goodbye to his wife, which was very difficult to watch. The man has bigger balls than I do. I would never in a million years be able to still run a huge company like TNA if my wife died. Honestly, I wouldn't last 1 week without her.....

Asia, I am sorry but thta's a load of shit. Jeff, is the owner of the company & he's went on record plenty of times saying how much Jill helped TNA grow. This is the first time (and probally the last) they did something like this. WWE is making something out of Vince playing dead. The whole "Fatherless Day" is bullshit. Because, when Mother's Day 2008 roles around next year Jeff's & Jill's kids really won't have a mother to wake up to. Jill, has passed away for real & it's not being used for a storyline. You can cleary tell Jeff won't be wrestling anytime soon. He'll work backstage & all but not wrestle. Get over your self people. TNA might not be the greatest promotion but this isn't something for a storyline it's LIFE. Damn. |

Jill Jarrett is not a wrestler and the casual TNA fan would have no idea who she is other than obviously Jeff's wife.
Not needed, and no im not defending the vince angle because that is on a stupid level of its own.

I feel really sorry for Jeff Jarrett but I don't think that promo was needed because like mentioned the casual fan wouldn't understand. It's almost as if it was just another way to put Jarrett over as a face he returns and that doesn't surprise me with TNA's current booking which claims to "the alternative".

I'm going to disagree and say that the video was just fine. It's incredibly sad and very horrible to hear what happened to the Jarrett family. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. The video was done to explain Jarrett's extended absense. He's not going to be anywhere near a ring for a while, if ever again.
Also, from a TNA wrestler, he doesn't expect to see Jarrett back until the end of the year or maybe even early January.
You do not just take him off tv and not explain it.

First thing, Jarrett WAS over as a face, he wouldn't and doesn't need something like this to help in that area. Secondly, Jeff has been a big part of TNA's shows and this was done simply to explain why he's going to be off tv again. I think it's completely disgusting that anyone would think Jeff has any ulterior motives other then a final goodbye to his wife..

I thought the video was a nice tribute and not designed in any way to get anyone over. it was just a fitting tribute to someone who the casual fans may not have been aware of
