I (or FOMO) decided it was time to take some measures to get caught up with Origins, so I placed an order with Entertainment Earth (one preorder for Wave 10, not-mint but in stock King Hiss and Thunder Punch He-Man) and have been watching Amazon for preorders and in stock figures. If everything comes through, I'll have everything except Rattlor and Kobra Khan. And Mekaneck, but I'm hoping he gets a single release or the price comes down slightly on the Road Ripper pack. This is exactly what I need to do to catch up. Shame they aren't in stores like they used to be. It could be I jumped the gun, which is what I'm hoping for actually, and we'll start seeing them in stores again. Mattel just went so overboard on the Wave 7 production that I'm worried no retailer will order more. My Walmart has probably 30 figs from that wave and Snout Spout but they're all in the clearance aisle with all their other MOTU stuff. There are no tags in the regular action figure aisle anymore. Because Waves 11 and 12 are already available online, I really didn't want to miss out on Whiplash and especially King Randor, so I'll be waiting on my preorder (for a while I'd guess) but as long as I get it I'm good. |

The news was WAY bigger than I expected. All the Origins stuff is must-buy for me, even the Skeletor with Screeech and Snake Men pack with the reused Snake Armor He-Man. I was just thinking the other day of a repaint or variant SA He-Man, and there it is.
Even the Masterverse stuff might be needed. I didn't continue with the line, but the stuff they showed looks better than what we've seen so far. Mattel is stepping up its game, and I'm really glad they're still supporting both lines.
Now we just need better distribution and availability, but hopefully that's coming, too.

I’m interested to see how snake mountain does
Over here in the uk grayskull got heavily reduced everywhere. I hedged my bets and hung on thinking it’d be reduced more then bang it was gone from everywhere (returned to mattel or whatever) but don’t think it was clearanced or liquidated because it didn’t end up at the discount outlets.
I always thought snake mountain was the cooler set but grayskull is a must so gutted I missed it. That put me off the line for a bit,

Only bummer lately was Flying Fists He-Man's face 🤪 I ordered him before but just opened him.  Luckily he's cheap right now so I'm gonna get another. I like the yelling head with the wind-blown hair better, but I still need a good normal head. |

The MotU Sun Man and the Rulers of the Sun action figure 3pk at Target is half off for $25. These have been warming for a while and was hoping to snag them when they got to at least 70% clearance price, but ended up grabbing one today for 50% off. Looks like that's both the in-store and online price.

The MotU Sun Man and the Rulers of the Sun action figure 3pk at Target is half off for $25. I'd been waiting for the half off because they'd done it before and I held off. It's definitely worth it. Like you said, Sun Man's better/alternate head, Space Sumo for non-Mattel Creations price, and Pig Head with shiny paint deco to differentiate from the regular. The sale is off now, but I recommend picking it up for anyone who finds it on sale or clearance in the future. |
