Did anyone end up getting the weird Skeltor/VeeFriends from Mattel Creations? I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. I don't care for the "VeeFriends" at all, and the price and packaging are both 👎 I thought about it only for the extra hands and faces, but couldn't justify $50+ after shipping cost. |

All my preorders on Amazon and Big Bad have dropped in the last two or three weeks. And not just recent stuff, either. It's crazy how that works out. My bank account is crying, especially after I bought some MOTU at a toy convention this weekend.
That said, I'm almost caught up on Origins except for the MC releases I missed out on (which I don't care about) , the Rulers of the Sun 3-pack (which I saw the other day but didn't want to drop 50 on), the Skeleton Warriors (which I saw at the con and passed on), and Moss Man.

I was just thinking today I'm absolutely shocked we never got magenta armor for Faker. I was sure it would happen for the first time (other than the Mega Construx fig) when Origins started. Just feels like there was a lot more to be done. And I'm not wild about the cartoon sculpts. The torso and legs are weird and look like a step backward from the regular Origins sculpt. That's why I feel more bummed about the line basically ending. |

This isn’t Mattel or Super7, but does Anyone need the mega Construx Battle for Eternia 2 set? I have 2 that got sent because I didn’t cancel them fast enough. Cost plus shipping and PayPal fees is all I’m asking, I think Amazon is going to charge me return shipping to send them back over seas.

Turtles Of Grayskull MOC I love Origins, I love TMNT, but I'm not sure how I feel about these yet. I'll most likely buy them just to have in my Origins collection, though. I'm gonna buy them if I can find them for retail, but I'm on the fence overall as far as how I feel about them. I was interested when I heard they were happening, but mostly because I'd like Turtles in this scale. After seeing them, I'm most excited about that Man-At-Arms because he fits best with Origins as a variant. |

Money saved on the turtle line. Neither my kids or i want them.
Sticking with vintage origins, cartoon, and from masterverse - any New Adventures and movie figures. And that is x2 for everything ( me to collect, son play with) and x3 when its a female character or a special figure my daughter likes.
X2 for all the mega motu stuff.
And all the mondo stuff. Which is getting out of hand price wise.
So all that, my wallet says thank you for makingvan ugly turtles line.

toynewsi.com/241-50433I have a general rule for collecting: No action figures over $20 (unless I can justify/rationalize it). This line might cause me to break my rule. Cuz you know they are going to be $20 when they hit! This line is Already a lot of fun, and it hasn't been released yet. The Shredder and Krang figures are AMAZING. I imagine wave 3(?)(4?) will have Mikey, Skeletor, and the next random picks of MOTU and TMNT characters. I will probably not be able to contain myself if they introduce playsets and vehicles. I'd love a playset of Castle Grayskull "mutating" into a NY street, like in the original promo pic. My only nitpic is the turtles being able to use their shells as shields. But I can get over that real fast.

Apparently He-Man.org is shutting down after 20+ years. On one hand it's a shame because of the history and some of the community, but on the other it's "good riddance" for some because of how the forums were run/moderated/censored.
I've been a member for probably close to 20 years (maybe more), but I haven't posted regularly in a long, long time. I'll just say I'm not a fan of the person that owned it, so I'm not too sad it's going away. It's the strangest place I've ever posted on, that's for sure.

It was bad back then, you could never question mattel about anything. Because people wanted to be part of them so bad, freebies, or whatever. It was pretty gross. Ive had this last account for 18 years now. (Probably 3 accounts before and that goes back before the commemorative line hit). Ive only really started posting again when orgins and mega hit. I was done with the classics bs, and that group of fans. All fandoms have oddballs, but org is a whole other level. Just seen on Mattel Creations that they had a bunch of stuff that came back into stock, but all the good stuff is sold out already. I just saw that, too. Obviously everything is gone now. Mattel loves throwing stuff up randomly without anyone knowing it's going to happen. At least some people were able to grab some figures, though I'd imagine some of those are going to be reselling them for Christmas markups lol |
