WEEK 1 HEADLINE:Giants take down Pats; Manning looks good (Defensive Ends Justin Tuck(91) and Osi Umenyiora(72) work their magic on Patriots QB Tom Brady) The defending Super Bowl champion New York Giant's welcomed the resurgent New England Patriots into the Meadowlands Sunday for a blockbuster game that lived up to its hype. The Giants took an early 3 point lead following a Bironas field goal, which was the only score of the first quarter. Shortly after, the Patriots captain Tom Brady decided to make his presence felt with a 72 yard drive culminating in a touchdown pass to Wes Welker. The Giants responded with a similar drive, ending with a 14 yard pass to Domenik Hixon for the touchdown. On their next drive, the Patriots kicked a field goal, but Eli Manning would not settle for a tied game at the half. Driving 64 yards in a minute, Eli allowed Rob Bironas to kick a field goal to put the Giants ahead 13-10 at the end of the half. Big Blue got the ball back, and decided to put its two runningbacks to use. It capitalized on a bunch of 7+ yard runs by Jacobs, and a deep PA pass to Plaxico Burress with a 4 Yard TD run by Ahmad Bradshaw. The Patriots gave up the first turnover in the Red ZOne when Brady was picked off by SS Michael Johnson. The Giants showed their true power in the 4th Quarter however with 2 TD passes to Hixon and Burress. The Patriots wouldn't go out without a measure of success, and scored a TD with a pass to Tight End Kellen Winslow. They were successful on the 2 point conversion, but lost the war, 34-18. Very well done so far. I think it would be cool if you started getting some highlights in the thread though. But I look forward to reading the rest of the season.

...Go onto all madden or something, no one is going to be interested in a dynasty where you go undefeated every year.

WEEK 2 HEADLINES:Jacobs makes impact; Manning shows old self (Running back Brandon Jacobs explodes from the line for a touchdown, one of three) The Giants took on the San Fransisco 49ers in what should have been a blowout game, but instead, faced a new challenge: bad passing. Eli Manning threw 14 completions out of 31 attempts for 199 Yards, and no touchdowns. Worst of all, he threw three interceptions. Luckily, Giants star runningback Brandon Jacobs made up for the lack of passing competancy with a 126 yard game, and 3 touchdowns. Coach John Gruden was asked about the Giant's failed passing game this week. "Well Eli faced a heavy amount of pressure, and the 49ers used a lot of exotic blitz packages. He wasn't given the time to make good decisions. A few passes that should have been caught were dropped. That killed us. Unfortunately, guys who get paid millions of dollars a year still don't have some of the fundamentals down. We'll get back in rhythm." The Giant's maintained a 21-3 lead at halftime, but were only able to put up 3 points in the second half. The Giant's defense, however, played very well. The team scored 5 sacks, and held 49er running back Frank Gore to 12 yards. Scoring SummaryQuarter | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | Final | 49ers | 0 | 3 | 0 | 14 | 17 | New York | 7 | 14 | 3 | 0 | 24 |

WEEK 3 HEADLINE: Giants roll past Redskins (Giants reciever Plaxico Burress throws off Redskins cornerback Carlos Rogers en route to an 87 yard game) The New York Giants faced their first of 6 division games this Monday against the Washington Redskins. After a disappointing game last week for Eli Manning, the Giants star quarterback was determined to set things right. Manning completed 17 passes for 212 yards and split 2 TDs with 2 INTs. Eli was asked about his mediocre passing game. "All the picks are coming from linebackers in the middle of the field. I have ample time, I just need to make better decisions" More impressive though was the Giant's defense during the bulk of the game, which held all-star running back Clinton Portis to 29 yards on 11 carries. Giant's runningback Brandon Jacobs has his second straight 3 touchdown game, bringing his total to 6 for the year. Ahmad Bradshaw continues to impress, exploding with a 33 yard rush. When asked about his speed, Bradshaw was humble. "I just do what I gotta do. If you see an opening, hit it as fast as you can" The Giants took the game 42-17. WEEK 4 HEADLINES Giants clip Cardinals wings (Giants QB Eli Manning throws for 2 TD passes and 275 yards) The Giants went on their first away game this week, taking on the Arizona Cardinals in a high scoring game. RB Brandon Jacobs had a 2 touchdown performance, but only rushed for 55 yards. His faster partner, Ahmad Bradshaw, ran for 76 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Jacobs was asked about the two. "Ahmad and me, you know, we're two opposites when running. I plow people over, and he runs right past them. We work good. It's gonna be tough to stop us" Eli Manning threw for 2 TDs and 2 interceptions, but put up decent stats with 275 yards passing, and 17 completed passes out of 24 thrown. The Giants secondary also had 3 picks. One of them was returned for a touchdown by cornerback Corey Webster. Next week the Giants face their division rival Dallas Cowboys in what should be a blockbuster game. WEEK 5 HEADLINES Giants steamroll Cowboys; advance to 5-0 (Giants reciever Plaxico Burress leaps for a catch during a 104 yard game) It was a cold day in the Meadowlands as the Dallas Cowboys came into town for one of the most anticipated games of the year. Usually when you think of a Dallas/Giants game, you think of hard hitting, stout defenses, and a close game. It was like that for one side as the Giants shutout the Cowboys 35-0. Eli Manning was on the ball, completing 17 passes for 229 yards, and 1 TD. Best of all, he had 0 interceptions. "It feels good having such a good game, especially at home." The Giants defense was the real showstopper, holding Dallas to 0 points for the entire game. Defensive End Justin Tuck recorded 3 sacks on quarterback Tony Romo. "Thats our job. Sack the quarterback. And thats what we did" The Giant's had 5 sacks, and 2 interceptions. Osi Umenyiora also scored a TD after stripping the ball from runningback Marion Barber.
