SG, the X-Division is what got TNA where it is right now ( which I know that you know ). Face it, without the original high flying and difference of TNA compared to the WWE... nobody would've cared about TNA.
Of course the Knockouts matches are going to get ratings, when instead of having great matches like Sabin vs. Williams ( just as an example )... they give us Williams and Young vs. Booker T and Scott Steiner... where Williams gets squashed. I'm sorry, but it all comes back to the terribly booked main event scene.
Either way, people ( especially "mainstream" fans ) couldn't care less about womens wrestling. Which is the reason SHIMMER ( or any other all-female promotion ) isn't being aired nationally on cable television.

I half expected someone like a celebrity like that Rachelle Ray chick but yea, Im acually suprized ,They brought in someone From Shimmer
And to the Knockouts are useless stuff it is really up to how it's presented ,Like for example ,Against All Odds ,I could not give a crapabout the knockouts then ,But say before Kim left I acually liked the knockout division

We're not taking 5-6 years ago - we're talking here and now. The X-Division does not draw like it use to.

Theres a difference between it being enjoyable/liking it and people CARING about it. Fans aren't going to TNA shows to see ODB, Roxxi, Wilde, or any other Knockout. Sure, they may enjoy a match here and there... given it being with 2 females that can work. But to have 11 ( now 12? ) female wrestlers, when they only have one 2 hour weekly show... it's a bit ridiculous. We're not taking 5-6 years ago - we're talking here and now. The X-Division does not draw like it use to. If given the time and effort, it would. Theres no denying that. Rather than using guys like Williams, Sabin, Shelley, Lethal, etc. to put over guys like Steiner, Booker T, Angle... or new talent like Magnus, etc... they could easily get the X-Division back to a good status. And I mean EASILY. - Triple S

Because they have not showcased it properly in the past two years to three years.

We're not taking 5-6 years ago - we're talking here and now. The X-Division does not draw like it use to. And thats the sad thing ,The very thing that got TNA to the top was just tossed aside like a dirty towel and overshadowed by former WWE guys and crap matches when I used to tune in mostly for the X Divison now what ,WE had Davari Holding the X Divsion title ,Now C'mon ,Im not taking anything away from him ,He's gotten better but At least put it on Young and I wanna know ,How did it take this long to put the strap on Shelly ? Really ,They need to put what they had back in the spot light

Whatever. I'm done with arguing with people on this forum.. It's a forum, it's expected that people will have a difference of opinion. And this isn't arguing, it's debating... major difference. EDIT: But really, 11 effin' knockouts... are they all really needed? Sheesh. - Triple S

Whatever. I'm done with arguing with people on this forum.. As I said several times, I have respect for your opinions on TNA, but you're defense on the X-Division is very flawed. It does not draw well now because TNA does not showcase it the way it should be.

The only reason he probobly said it was useless is because NOBODY is going to buy a full priced PPV just to see good womans wrestling and okayish male wrestling. You can't just build up your Womans division because it's not going to get you anywhere. WWE has a well distinguished Main Event division that people would pay for. The Main Event is going to make you money, NOT womans wrestling. You know why it's the highest rated part of the show? Because it's FREE. Do you know if people buy the PPV's at the moment for the woman wrestling and NOT the males, which si 90% of the card? No, we don't know for fact (SG probobly knows) but we can conclude that not everybody is going to waste $30 (Is that the price?) on a 15 minute womans wrestling match. So after all that has been said, TNA... quit signing wrestlers for your dumb bimbo brawls and start signing for yor REAL money makers.

SG: Cross The Line is right! The X-division isn't what the mainstream fan wants, and it will never be a main event division. It may have helped when it was a weekly ppv, but since it's been on cable; mainstream isn't too keen on it. The heavy-weight division is and always will be the major draw, and thus will always be the main-event.
With the womens (knock-out..whatever) division; they could get rid of it for all I care. All they are there for is eye-candy. Sure some of them are good; like ODB, Kong, and Taylor Wilde. The rest just suck!

This is ONE reason I disagree with both you and SG:
Guys like AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, hell... even Samoa Joe. Those are the guys that draw the biggest for TNA and are the most over with the fans. Whether it be merchandise, or ratings... those guys are TNA's sellers. Which made/make up the X-Division. You could go to a TNA event and take a poll on who their there to see: People WILL NOT reply with "Team 3D", or "Rhino"... no. People wanna see Styles, Joe, the Guns, Lethal, Daniels... guys that put on 5 star matches.
Also, when you ask a fan of their favorite match in TNA history: Most people go to the X-Division bouts. Unbreakable Triple Threat, Styles and Daniels' Iron Man matches, Ultimate X matches. Not Sting vs. Rhino, or most importantly Taylor Wilde vs. Awesome Kong.
What TNA needs to do is push these younger guys up. Styles, Joe and Daniels should be in the main event title picture with Angle and Abyss. Roode, Storm, Sabin, Shelley... these guys should be becoming the focal point of TNA, by getting put in interesting/entertaining fueds... building them up to eventually become the stars of TNA.
TNA has what it takes to be a great promotion, they just need to utilize what they have A LOT better than they are. And I hate to toot my own horn, but most people will agree with me.

I'm sure there quite a large amount of people that watch TNA each week ( or periodically ) and are disappointed with the product as of late. I know theres a few of us that post on this board, that would love for them to push Styles, Sabin, Shelley, etc.
Point blank, theres a larger audience for the X-Division than there is for the Knockouts. I'd even say theres a bigger audience for the X-Division, than the Heavyweight.
TNA needs to caplitalize on the 2 things the WWE doesn't have: the X-Division and the Tag Team division. It's what made TNA great and now it's in the same boat as the WWE. Push these 2 divisions and I guaruntee more viewers.

And why would they capitalize on a division that has no well-known stars?

The Division is terrible, they should get rid of the deadweight they have now and hire women who can wrestle
Get Rid of Rhaka, Sojo and Roxxie
Turn Saied into Cheerleader Melissa and keep Kong, Beautiful people, ODB and Taylor

Which division were you talking about, X-Division or the Tag Team? Either way, i'll answer.
X-Division
This is TNA's birthchild and they could build publicity the same way they did when they got the timeslot with SpikeTV, put the strap on Styles and let him do his thing. Book Styles as your champion and promote/advertise is like crazy. People will tune in to see Styles in good matches. From there, have him drop it to someone that needs a rub... then push him back in the main event title picture.
Tag Team
Theres so many young tag teams out there, that could benefit TNA very well. Bring back the Naturals and thats a start. Then scout out young tag teams and toss them into the mix with Naturals, the Guns, Beer Money ( or AMW ) and Lethal Consequences. Hell, you could even go the AMW route. Then align Young with Roode down the road, reforming Team Canada. The possibilities are endless. The tag division is weak, which helps a promotion a TON. Something WWE is lacking right now ( knowingly ), which takes something away from the show.
TNA could easily utilize their 2 hours with this and it would most definitely improve the quality of iMPACT!
EDIT: God, I wish I had A LOT of free time and patience. I'd make a TNA sim fed... but I don't, oh well. Haha.

The great part is that any of our ideas are better than the people who's ideas are being used and most of it is just common sense.

The great part is that any of our ideas are better than the people who's ideas are being used and most of it is just common sense. Exactly, people get PAID to do this... for a LIVING. They still can't get it right. While i'm working in retail, fearing for my job each day... but I can get it right. HIRE ME, TNA!!! ;D ... hell, I could even do double duty. Write and ref, writting would be a sinch. - Triple S
