Do you think that having two world and tag team championships diminish how big of a win or how good the champion is. I think it is because having the belt now just means that you and another guy are the two best instead of saying im the best in the world right now. I just wish that we could go back to one title and the champ could go to all show not wrestle on all of them but just continue fueds and storylines. I miss just how great it was when a guy who had the title for so long got it taken off in a great match or when a guy wins it for the first time. I guess it just fells a little tanted now like there should be an asterisc by the champions now. So what do you guys think

I think it does. I mean lets look back to the 80s. When Hogan and Flair still be seen as the greatest in their companies if they were sharing world titles or were co-champions with Savage and Rhodes?? Probably not. Would the "boyhood dream" mean anything if he and Bret Hart were both world champions at the same time? Nope.....If the Brands were 100% split then I could let it slide a bit but with the brand split being pretty much dissolved, it ruins any prestige.

Yes and no. I mean, it was great and all, but with two world championships, more people are allowed to be main eventers and get a chance to shine. And it's just going along with the times changing.

If the brand split was a more serious thing, having two titles would not be such a bad thing.

absolutely!! There is no question that a title win now means almost nothing compared to monday night war days. When WCW "invaded" and brought all the belts it became a mess.....Rock as WCW champ Austin as WWF....a pure mess

Its not even the MNW era. When the brand split first happened and Brock was champ on SD and HHH on Raw it worked out fine. There was no cross brand matches or joint PPVs. Everything was run like 2 separate companies and it worked. Once they put everything together though they needed to unify the titles

It 'sports-entertainment' now, isn't it, so that's how Vince thinks people will gladly eat up what they're seeing...
Having so many titles is the basis for this 'Night Of Champions' PPV (which is a gimmick in itself) and thus a chance for Titan to make more money because of it, the titles have no prestige anymore, sadly...
