Did anyone believe it was going to last?
Scott Hall was bound to slip up and get fired. Nash, well, he is friends w/ Hunter and Shawn, and Hogan was eventually going to turn face. And lets face it, The Rock buried all 3 at the No Way Out pay-per-view.

Absolutely not.
I believe Vince brought it in just so he could say that he (WWE) killed it...same as hiring Bischoff and Heyman.
Hogan having to make his match with The Rock at WMX8 all about him was pretty pathetic too, as you knew for a fact that he would turn face.

I thought it was good for what it was. Booker T in the nWo was the only thing that didn't make sense, since everyone else was a former nWo member. Scott Hall and Mr. Perfect were released because of some shenanigans on a plane perpetrated by Brock Lesnar and he didn't get punished at all. They were the ones punished. I like Lesnar, but thought it was BS at the time and still do. I think WWE could have kept Hall, cause they probably knew HBK was coming in again. You had Nash, X-Pac, HBK, Big Show, Hall, What could have happened is Big Show could have gotten a bigger push. Booker T was already over he didn't need the rub. Big Show getting kicked out of the nWo, and when Shawn said what stands out, it could have been that HHH was the only one not standing with them and they could have put the Kliq together for a while.

Had Scott Hall not been fired, I was hoping for the 5 members of the Kliq to be the new nWo. That would've been great: HBK as their manager (he wasn't wrestling then), Hall and Nash as tag team champs, X-Pac as the IC champ, and Triple H as the world champ.

it was inevitable the nWo wouldn't last - they were one of the reasons the WWF nearly went bust back in late 96-early 97!

With Hogan getting huge face pops, they couldn't really push him as a main event heel (saying that their pushing Cena as a huge face despite the boos, lol) so they were left with no choice to switch him face. I think had Hall stayed sober and Nash stayed healthy the nWo could have been around for longer than they were. Booker T being put in the group was an absolutely ridiculous decision, as said before HBK & possibly HHH reforming the Kliq would have been awesome.
