TNA will be doing more and more house shows as the year goes on. So far they have made money on every single event thus far. Along with the recently announced Iowa and Kansas dates TNA will also be touring New York (Most likely upstate), Ohio, Minnesota, Chicago (PPV and house show) and Georgia later this year.
Bound for Glory in October will be held in Chicago. TNA should be announcing this much sooner than they announced Slammiversary for Nashville. They have 100% secured the venue for Chicago but at this time no one is sure which one it will be. There is also talk of holding the Janurary 08 PPV Final Resolution on the road. The main venue discussed for it has been The Louisville Gardens in Kentucky. TNA ran a house show there back in April and it was one of their most successfull thus far. They drew just over 2,000 people in the 4,000 seat arena.
TNA also has plans to tour Europe some time in 2008. There is talk that Bravo 2 may be helping to fund the tour as well in hopes that it will help with the TV ratings for iMPACT! which have been good but they do feel they could be better.
Odds are that TNA will be staying on Spike TV. They did meet with FOX a few weeks back but from what we have been told a network switch does not seem likely for a number of reasons. If TNA does re-sign and stay on Spike they are almost 100% sure to get another hour making iMPACT! 2 hours on Thursday nights. This is the main thing TNA wants from Spike and Dixie Carter has flat out told them that if 2 hours doesn't happen they will not re-sign.
TNA is intrested in using Sean Waltman again but they have yet to agree on a new deal. If he does come in he will most likely join VKM to battle Hemme's new faction.
The cage used at this year's Lockdown will never be used again. TNA decided to build a new cage for a numbers of reasons. Some of those were do to the state regulations on blood and fear that they old cage might not pass, wrestlers had complained about getting cut very easy on the old cage and the electrified match. When the wrestlers saw the new cage the day of the show most of the laughed and called is bush league. Jeff Jarrett hated how the cage looked. He told many people backstage that if Don Harris had still been around this crap wouldn't have happened. Don was there setup guy when it came to props, accesories and big spots. He was the original idea behind the six sided cage and the Raven's House of Fun matches.
Petey Williams is currently very unhappy in TNA. His contract expires in October and some feel that he will not re-sign.
Team 3D may be gone from TNA before the year is over. D'von wants to return to WWE and both are unhappy in TNA. Their deals are up this fall as well. Most wrestlers in the back were happy to hear about this as Brother Ray has a ton of backstage heat for his attitude and the stiffing of smaller guys in the ring.
TNA is trying hard to re-build the tag division. They realise that it went down hill recently and are working on getting it back to at least some where near what it was. They were trying to sign The Briscoes to go along with this but they decided to sign with ROH. TNA is in negotiations with a few other tag teams as well.
Expect a full fleged womens division to start maybe as soon as this fall. TNA has been doing more and more womens matches and they have come across good and gotten over well. TNA is in talks with a couple on female workers from Mexico about joining the company as not only a wrestler but a possible valet for LAX.
So Cal Val who everyone loves backstage may see a bigger role in TNA soon. She is a trained wrestler but just isn't that good. Her in ring work has been compared to Maria's.
There has been talk of no longer using David Penzar.
TNA is intrested in using both Matt Sydal and Nigel McGuinness.
