Official TNA Destination X Thread: 3/15/09

It was a pretty big night for TNA, in my opinion. Two big titles changed hands, and another title that I believe most thought would change hands, didn't, so TNA put on a pretty good show.

My audio was jacked up most of the night. Everything was out of sync.

Kinda took me out of the show tbh.

After tonight TNA has officially ruined Samoa Joe for good. The guy will never recover. They might as well rename him Umaga.

I didn't see the show, but 900 people cheering for him doesn't mean that he is an interesting, believeable main event player anymore. He was a legit main eventer a couple of years ago. Now he just went from being a whiney, sloppy guy to someone who is acting like a savage on an island. Steiner has been much better lately than Joe, which doesn't exactly say good things for Joe.

I'm with ya bro. Joe looks absurd. Absolutely cartoonish.

The show pretty much sucked. The opening match was ok.....not too bad. But Taylor Wilde gets on my nerves. Cant stand her or Roxxi. And I hate Daffney being stuck with this horrid gimmick.

The ODB segment was an abortion tonight. Shark Boy actually had some funny parts that I enjoyed. But the whole thought of this was poor.

The Women's match was garbage.

I enjoyed Morgan and Abyss to a certain extent. I really like Matt Morgan. But finish was too predictable and Abyss has become a goof.

Brutus Magnus needs to be wished his best in future endeavors. And he can take goofy Eric Young with him. At least we arent stuck with Super Eric anymore.

The tag title match was a snooze fest. Team 3D sucks. The finish was poor, the false finish died b/c of the overall finish. The Tenay/West feud at the end was poorly handled by Mike Tenay. West is doing a decent job in his role, but Tenay just comes off bitter.

AJ/Booker was pretty good. Nothing spectacular. But they both hit some decent spots and the match was well paced. I hate the Legends Title.......sounds like the Million Dollar Title.

Joe/Scott Steiner? What the hell was that? Looked like they were running short on time and wanted to squash this. Nice big return for Joe....right. Maybe Afa Jr. will join him in the Nation of Violence and they can be led by Ron Simmons pretending to be samoan and they can talk about racism.

Ultimate X completely saves this show. Hungry competitors putting on one hell of a match. MCMGS cannot get enough praise. Lethal was on his game. And eventhough I love Daniels.....I cant stand Suicide. But the finish was exceptionally done. Great finish to the match, eventhough I wanted one of the Guns to win.

The main event was a let down of sorts. I felt the heat completely had died off. Too many people involved. They missed several spots and the pace was well off. There was a massive lack of drama. Sting winning was shocking to me. I thought Foley was gonna cost Sting the title and join with Angle in the MEM. But that didnt happen.

Now I fear the main event of Lockdown will be Sting defending the TNA title against Danny Bonaduce. Seems fairly typical.

Side note.......eventhough there wasnt an official pole match, it didnt stop TNA from putting a pole up and having thumbtacks in a bag on top. LOL!!

He made some funny liners too. He asked ODB if she had ever been eaten by a shark?

Kinda of a let down PPV. The pace was slow throughout the night. The Ultimate X saved the whole show. Morgan/Abyss was good but not great. I loved AJ winning the Legends title by why does it have to be red. I thought Joe looked ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the ODB segment that was horendous. And the main event was to slow pace for me to enjoy.

Overall 6.5/10
