Decent opening contest to kick off Sunday Night HeAT this week. Don't like the Headbangers beating Kaientai though. Really disliked Mosh and Thrasher. TAKA Michinoku and Sho Funaki were superior. Filler action between Essa Rios and Stevie Richards, hehe, Aguila impersonation. Val Venis and Steve Blackman did a good match, but really should of opened up and replaced the tag team match in my opinion. D'Lo Brown and The Godfather getting involved, hmm.

WWF NEWS; December 27, 1999 Sunday Night Heat hiatus; New WWF Show?; WrestleMania Plans; and more!
-- Sunday Night Heat is going on temporary hiatus; last night's episode will be the last one for a while. The reason for this is because many want HeAT to be more like when it debuted, with a couple of main eventers, upper midcarders, and a few lower midcarders, as well as new talent. The decision to go on hold was made by Vince McMahon. Expect HeAT to return in three-to-four weeks and to be heavily advertised as a "relaunch".
-- There are talks of adding another television show, but heavily different from RAW and SmackDown: a show dedicated to the greatest moments from WWF's past and history. A decision hasn't been made if this experiment will take off or not.
-- Currently there are two plans for the WWF Championship going into WrestleMania. Both plans involve title changes between now and the event; and both plans end with a very similar main event for 'Mania. As of now, writers are stuck on which path they want to take.
-- Expect to see more use of tag teams on programming.
-- Mick Foley (Mankind) has been thinking about retiring in the next couple of months.
-- Agents have been in talks with Leon White aka Vader. Vader worked for the WWF from 1996-1998 before leaving the company. If Vader signs expect to see him get a big push.
-- Many talents at World Championship Wrestling have been upset of the way they're being handled at the company, most notably are Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn, and Dean Malenko.
-- Vince McMahon has been scouting the ECW roster. He's really high (no pun intended) on Rob Van Dam and Sabu. Talks should begin very soon to see if they'd be interested in going to the WWF.

Glad Headbangers won, I always found them decent. Really nice touch there with Richards dressing up as a former Rios alias. Main event was serviceable. Not too much to comment on since it's just Heat.

December 27, 1999 -- Greensboro, North Carolina
The final RAW of the Millenium started off with a bang as DeGeneration X made their way to the ring. Triple H made it clear that over the past couple of weeks, there has been warfare going on and things came to a head last week on SmackDown. But tonight, things will be calmed down, Triple H claimed. HHH and Stephanie went to announce the following matches: Kane and two partners (appointed by the power couple) to face X-Pac and The Outlaws; The Acolytes vs. Big Boss Man and Prince Albert (hardcore rules); The Rock vs. Al Snow; Val Venis and Steve Blackman vs. D'lo Brown and The Godfather (the person who gets the winning fall will face The Godfather for the European Championship); and in the main event The Big Show defends the WWF Championship against Test, with Mankind as the guest referee. Stephanie said that by the end of the night, order will be restored in the World Wrestling Federation (hopefully). Triple H then said tonight is a very special night for another reason - The Slammy Awards are back! Triple H tells the fans in attendance to sit back and enjoy the show! The fans boo heavily as DX leave the ring.
After the opening video and pyro, it was time for the first Slammy to be given - Tag Team of the Year. The nominees: The New Age Outlaws, The Rock N Sock Connection, The Acolytes, The Hardy Boyz, and Edge and Christian. And the winners are: The Hardy Boyz! Matt and Jeff along with Terri came out to accept the trophies.
Light-Heavyweight Title Tournament; First Round Kurt Angle (with Mean Street Posse) vs. Scotty 2 Hotty (with Grandmaster Sexay and Rikishi Phatu) A very good way to start RAW off, match wise. Angle and Scotty put on a great exchange; Angle used his technical prowess to keep Scotty on guard, Scotty fought back with some quick moves like a drop toe hold and several dropkicks. Angle eventually went for the Olympic Slam but Scotty slipped out of it before hitting the bulldog. Scotty went for the Worm as the fans stood in anticipation; but The Posse spoiled things, as Rodney tripped up Scotty. Rikishi and Grandmaster went at it with the Posse as Angle hit the Olympic Slam on Scotty to advance to the semi-finals. Winner: Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle starts to celebrate up the ramp as The Posse run away from Sexay and Rikishi.
An advertisement airs for the Royal Rumble. The Rumble will take place on January 23, 2000 live from Madison Square Garden.
It's time for the second Slammy to be awarded: Bastard of the Year. Michael Hayes and The Kat step up to the podium to run down the nominees: The Undertaker, Triple H, Big Boss Man, and Al Snow. And the winner is ... The Big Boss Man! Boss Man comes out to a chorus of boos; Boss Man holds up the Hardcore Title and his nightstick as steps up to the podium to accept the award. Boss Man dedicates this Slammy in the memory of The Big Show's father. Suddenly The Big Show comes out and attacks the Boss Man! Big Show grabs Boss Man by the throat before drilling him with the Showstopper on the steel ramp. The enraged Big Show grabs Boss Man's Slammy and smashes it against the podium before ripping at it, breaking it in two! Big Show throws the pieces into the crowd before leaving Boss Man hurt on the ramp. Prince Albert comes out after the damage has been done to check on his mentor.
Whomever gets the winning fall will face The Godfather for the European Championship Val Venis and Steve Blackman vs. The Godfather (European Champion) and D'lo Brown This was a decent tag team match. Godfather and D'lo have experience as a tag team, whereas Venis and Blackman were thrown together. And boy, did they not like it. They spent most of the time arguing with each other which was a mistake as they became increasingly distracted. D'lo and Godfather made frequent tags; D'lo made quick covers, as he wants the shot at the European title. Venis and Blackman wouldn't be put away. It looked as if Blackman would get the pin after he took D'lo out with the straight kick to the heart, but Val slapped Blackman on the back to tag himself in. Venis went to the top to go for the Money Shot, but Blackman pushed Venis off sending him crashing to the canvas. But Blackman wasn't through. After rummaging through his gym bag, he pulled out the kendo stick and went to town on Venis as the referee called for a disqualification. Blackman nailed D'lo across the face as Godfather came in to take Blackman down, but The Lethal Weapon took a swing at him. Godfather ducked under the shot before nailing Blackman with several shots to the face knocking him to the outside. Referees run down to keep Blackman and Godfather from fighting any further. Winner: NO CONTEST
It's now time for the third Slammy Award of the night, Couple of the Year. The nominees are: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Test and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Kane and Tori, Chyna and The Kat, Mark Henry and Mae Young. The winners: Triple H and Stephanie! The power couple comes out to boos as they accept the award. Stephanie says that it could be her and Test getting this award, but it's too bad that Test is such a loser. Triple H and Stephanie share a deep kiss before smirking as the fans boo loudly. We cut to the back where Test is watching on a monitor, and he doesn't look happy.
Backstage Kevin Kelly is conducting an interview with The Rock. The Rock makes fun of him as usual before snatching the mic from him and shoving him out of the picture. The Rock makes fun of Al Snow, saying how he's going to take that HEAD, turn it sideways, and stick it straight up his candy ass! If you smell what The Rock is cookin'!
In another area Michael Cole is interviewing Al Snow and HEAD. Al says that Rock isn't sticking HEAD in anybody's ass, but Snow is going to beat the living hell out of The Rock with HEAD. Their match is up next!
The Rock vs. Al Snow This was just a fight from the very beginning. Rock started off with his signature punches, but Snow caught the last one, before pulling Rock in for the multiple headbutts and following up with a reverse elbow. Snow mounted Rock and unleashed a barrage of punches until the referee pulled him away. Snow then nailed the referee with a right hand before stomping away at The Rock. The referee calls for the bell but Snow continues his assault. Snow picks up HEAD and slams it into Rock's face repeatedly until Mankind comes to the ring to pull Snow off. Mankind and Snow stare down until Snow goes for a cheap shot, but it's blocked. Mankind nails Snow with numerous shots forcing Al Snow to retreat to the back. Snow backs up the ramp with his maniacally smile while clutching HEAD as Mankind checks on The Rock. Winner: The Rock (by disqualification)
We go backstage to the DX locker room when The Mean Street Posse barges in. They say they want revenge on Too Cool after what happened earlier, but Triple H offers them something better - a shot at gold. Triple H tells them that they will compete in a Gauntlet Match against Chris Jericho, and whomever gets the winning decision will become Intercontinental Champion.
It's time for the fourth Slammy to be given away: Best Finishing Move. The nominees are: The Walls of Jericho (Chris Jericho), The Olympic Slam (Kurt Angle), The Showstopper (The Big Show), and The Clothesline From Hell (Bradshaw). The winner is: The Clothesline From Hell! Bradshaw comes out along with Faarooq to accept the award before heading to the ring for their upcoming match.
Hardcore Rules The Acolytes vs. The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert The Boss Man was still a bit beaten up from the attack by Big Show earlier in the night, but he still showed why he is the Hardcore Champion. Various weapons were used in this match, including steel chairs, the ring steps, a chain, tables, a pool stick, and even the monitors on the announce table were used to bash anything moving. During the match Prince Albert got busted open above the eye after Faarooq threw the ring steps which collided with his face; Albert was knocked out for a few minutes leaving Boss Man by himself. The Acolytes showed no mercy as they nailed Boss Man with the double powerbomb on to the steel steps. But then The New Age Outlaws run to the ring, each man weilding a stun gun. Road Dogg gets Bradshaw while Gunn stuns Faarooq right in the chest with the stun gun. The Outlaws deliver the spike piledriver to Bradshaw before dragging The Boss Man over Bradshaw; the referee had no choice but to count the fall. Winners: The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert
We see a GTV video air, featuring The Dudley Boyz. D-Von promises Bubba Ray that in due time they are going to break Terri Runnels' puney little neck, but the feed is suddenly cut off and the screen turns orange as the strange symbol pops up; heart beats can be heard in the background.
The fifth Slammy is ready to be given away: Best Hair. The nominees are: Jeff Hardy, Prince Albert, and Chris Jericho. The winner: Chris Jericho! Jericho accepts the award, saying that all the Jerichoholics can now go to sleep happy when The Mean Street Posse jump Jericho from behind. They beat him all the way to ringside before rolling him into the ring and a referee runs down to call for the bell to start the Gauntlet match.
Gauntlet Match; Intercontinental Championship. Chris Jericho © vs. The Mean Street Posse Rodney starts the match off. Their time with Angle has seemed to have rubbed off on them, as all Posse members pulled off some decent wrestling moves. Rodney tried to cover Jericho following a german suplex with a bridge but Jericho rolled out before applying the Walls of Jericho forcing Rodney to tap out. Pete Gas is next; Jericho got the first shot in with a heel kick followed by the Lionsault. Jericho went for the cover and just like that Pete Gas is eliminated. This leaves Joey Abs, who has more wrestling ability than his two partners. Abs and Jericho traded blows before Joey caught Jericho in the gut with a knee before tossing him into the corner. He placed Jericho onto the top turnbuckle before following and went for a superplex, but Jericho blocked it. Jericho shoved Abs away before he flew off the top with a splash to get the victory. Winner: Chris Jericho
After the match, The Posse once again goes on the attack on Jericho. Jericho fights back until Kurt Angle runs down and locks in the Crossface Chickenwing, choking out Chris Jericho. Angle holds up the Intercontinental Title before placing it across Jericho.
The final Slammy is ready to be awarded: Superstar of the Year. And the nominees are: The Big Show, Triple H, The Rock, Mankind, The Undertaker, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The winner is: Stone Cold Steve Austin! The fans erupt as they expect Stone Cold to accept the award, but no show. Instead, the music of The Game hits and the fans give big heat as Triple H walks to the podium. HHH says that since Austin is too lazy to show up, that he (HHH) will accept the award on Austin's behalf. The fans boo loudly until The Rock shows up and tells Triple H to know his role and shut his mouth! The Rock says that Triple H is a complete jackass and that the only award he deserves is an ass kicking from The Great One. They stare each other down until referees come out to seperate the two.
Eight Man Tag Team Match Edge, Matt Hardy, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Hardcore Holly vs. Christian, Jeff Hardy, D-Von Dudley, and Crash Holly This was a ver bizarre match-up created by The Power Couple which pitted tag teams against each other. However, that didn't stop them from fighting each other. Whenever it ended up The Hardyz against each other, The Dudleyz tagged in, Edge and Christian as the legal men, or the fighting cousins tagged in, they didn't hold back on each other. This match was filled with action and constant tags and double team moves. In the end D-Von got the win for his team after he and Bubba hit the 3-D on Matt Hardy. Winners: Christian, Jeff Hardy, D-Von Dudley, and Crash Holly
Backstage Mark Henry and Mae Young are cuddling when The Headbangers walk up, and say that the sight of them two together makes them sick. Henry takes exception and tries to fight them, but even Mark Henry can't fight off two men. Mosh and Thrasher nail Henry with tons of punches before Thrasher picks up a coffee pot and smashes it over Henry's face. The Headbangers laugh as they rebel in what they've done while Mae Young weeps over Henry.
Six Man Tag Team Match X-Pac and New Age Outlaws vs. Kane, Pat Patterson, and Gerald Brisco As DeGeneration X stood in the ring while Kane and Tori waited to see who Kane's partners would be, some familiar music began to play. DX burst out laughing as Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco were being forced to the ring by Gangrel, Mideon, and Viscera. Kane tells them to stay on the apron, as he wants to dismantle DX by himself. Kane spent most of the match fighting Pac, Gunn, and Dogg as DX made frequent tags so Kane couldn't keep one member to himself. A few minutes into the match, Billy Gunn got the attention of the referee which allowed Road Dogg to bring in one of the Tag Team Titles to strike Kane in the face a total of four times but Kane's still standing. Brisco and Patterson came in to assist Kane but they are outnumbered. Billy Gunn tosses Patterson to the outside as Road Dogg delivers a clothesline to Brisco sending him over the ropes. DX begin to triple team Kane; the big red machine tries to defend himself but he is outnumbered. DX attack Kane's legs to keep him grounded. Soon the Outlaws hold Kane in place allowing X-Pac to hit the X-Factor. All three men cover Kane to get the win. Winners: DeGeneration X
After the match DX crotch chop as X-Pac makes innapropriate gestures to Tori, who looks disgusted. Suddenly Kane sits up and DX scurry out the ring and up the ramp. Kane steps over the top rope in pursuit of DeGeneration X.
Michael Cole interviews The Big Show backstage. Show says that Test better bring everything he can, because he's in for the fight of his life. Elsewhere, Test is interviewed by Kevin Kelly. Test says he has the opportunity of his life tonight, a shot at the WWF Title. Test tells Big Show there isn't anything stopping him from bringing home the WWF title. In another part backstage we see guest referee Mankind wearing his referee shirt and talking to Mr. Socko. The main event is next!
WWF Championship; Guest Referee: Mankind The Big Show © vs. Test This was a competetive match that went on for a good ten minutes. Many nearfalls were had in this one, most of which had Test looking to become WWF Champion. Soon the match evolves into a brawl with each man trading big blows, trying to knock the other off their feet. Big Show eventually gets the better following a headbutt; Big Show runs off the ropes with a huge leg drop across Test's face. Show goes for the cover and gets a two count. Big Show complains at Mankind and tells him to count faster. As Big Show and Mankind argue, Test takes a run at Show but he moves out the way and Test takes out Mankind. Test checks on him but Big Show pulls him back and nails him with a headbutt. Big Show grabs Test by the throat for the Showstopper and lifts him seven feet into the air. Test tries to counter out of it but ends up being slammed to the canvas with a crushing sound. Show goes for the cover and Mankind counts the three. Winner: The Big Show
After the match Mankind hands Big Show the WWF Title, but Show snatches the belt away. Big Show tells Mankind to keep his paws off his belt. Mankind begins to argue with Show again when DX appear at the top of the ramp, and Triple H begins to clap. RAW comes to a close with Big Show and Mankind staring at DX from the ring as Test walks up beside them.
Quick Results Kurt Angle defeated Scotty 2 Hotty. Val Venis and Steve Blackman fought The Godfather and D'lo Brown to a no contest. The Rock defeated Al Snow by disqualification. The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert defeated The Acolytes. Chris Jericho defeated The Mean Street Posse to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Christian, Jeff Hardy, D-Von Dudley, and Crash Holly defeated Edge, Matt Hardy, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Hardcore Holly. DeGeneration X defeated Kane, Pat Patterson, and Gerald Brisco. The Big Show defeated Test to retain the WWF Championship.
Slammy Results Tag Team of the Year: The Hardy Boyz Bastard of the Year: Big Boss Man Couple of the Year: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley Best Finishing Move: Clothesline From Hell (Bradshaw) Best Hair: Chris Jericho Superstar of the Year: Stone Cold Steve Austin

Kurt Angle going for the LH Title? Interesting, but not sure really how I feel about that...Unsure what'll happen now for the Euro title, maybe a 4-way? Figured HHH/Steph would get couple of the year, made sense. DQ match in Rock/Snow was fine as long as Rock wins the rematch. Surprised Bradshaw won the award for best finisher. Bossman/Albert winning is fine, could have gone either way. Nice idea there with Jericho and teh IC Title, I could see something like that going down. Heh, random 8-man tag match there, pretty funny. Like the idea of all 3 DX members covering Kane for the win. Show winning was good. Solid show overall, it's fun having HHH/Stephanie run things.

I have to say, before I start reviewing RAW is WAR: Slammy Edition, I got a really big kick out of the WWF News article; 'He's really high (no pun intended) on Rob Van Dam and Sabu'. Haha! Also, please don't hire Vader as his body had poorly followed on from his WWF downfall, he was a walking flab-boy. Anyways, good opening promo to start off WWF RAW is WAR, the finalé edition of the Millenium. More overpowering rules by the McMahon-Helmsley regime and Degeneration X. Decent opening contest, with the WWF Light-Heavyweight Championship first-round tournament match, with Kurt Angle and his undefeated streak, to me it is pretty predictable that Angle will win this thing. Mean Street Posse with Angle is interesting. Powered by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley? Wouldn't suprise me since Steph had a bit of liking for him, but I'd personally love Angle more up the card. He was more over than this. Haha, Big Bossman getting the bastard of the year award is nice. Haha, Godfather taking out Steve Blackman and Val Venis is fine. Hehe, couple of the year being the McMahon-Helmsleys is predictable. The Rock beating Al Snow is fine, seemed pretty decent, I hope Snow's push continues. The Clothesline from Hell finisher getting the award for Best Finisher is...different. Big Bossman and Prince Albert beating The Acolytes is fine, however. Haha, Chris Jericho overcoming all of the Posse to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship is good. Stone Cold Steve Austin as superstar of the year is predicted. Well, him or The Rock. Liked the stuff with Triple H being involved. Solid eight-man tag team match. The Dudley Boyz being split? Odd. Haha, Kane and the Stooges falling to Degeneration X is a nice touch. Solid main event with Big Show defending the WWF Championship from Test.
