I have always respected Hogan and always will. I don't really care about the backstage politics as I wasn't there, I don't know all the facts and it doesn't really effect me in any way. The way I see it is Hogan has done nothing but provide numerous historic moments that I will cherish forever. Whenever I think of Hulk Hogan I think back to my childhood and I would be more than happy to see him back for 'One More Match' and a chance to relive my youth. I will always be a Hulkamaniac. While I can see that Hogan should have put more people over it doesn't matter to me because at the time all I wanted to see was Hulk Hogan win (except against Piper ;D).
A lot of people seem to have hate towards Hogan even though he has done nothing to them personally except not put over their favorite wrestler. I think some people go looking to blame things on Hogan. I could find similar faults in many other wrestlers but I choose to focus on the entertainment and memories they have provided me instead. I think every wrestling fan should have respect for Hogan in some form. I'm even willing to bet that a large portion of the fans who complain about him only started watching because of him.
I hope I haven't come off as nothing more than a huge Hogan mark as that wasn't my intention.

During the feud with either Shawn or Orton, Hogan also claimed he couldn't do the rematch, because he "broke" his meniscus. The meniscus is a muscle. You can't break a muscle. bwhahahaa that's classic.

Dude, half this crap isn't even true. Yeah, Hogan has done a lot of stuff like this in the past, but you should have known this would've just gotten a bunch of negative replies.

All he can do is work a blind crowd who cheer for the idiot. While that may be true, it's also the only thing about professional wrestling that is really important. The ability to work the crowd to the point that they want to cheer for you is a very important skill. It's easy to get heel heat and turn the crowd against you, but to get them to spend money on your merchandise and pay money to see you, that's all that really matters. There's a different between a good worker and a good wrestler. Hogan was a good worker, while Benoit was a good wrestler. Personally I'd rather be the guy who does 4 or 5 basic moves and manages to draw a ton of money as oppossed to the guy who almost kills themselves because of their ridiculous workrate. Hence Hogan can still work one match a year and get a huge payday while Dynamite Kid is in a wheel chair. Only reason why Hogan gets paid so much is because people are ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing idiots, and Vince is dumb as hell to pay him that much.... Hulk Hogan is the reason the economy is down... Nah, just playing bout that part, haha.

I still respect the Hulkster. He is a pretty good performer, and he shaped the wrestling business to make it mainstream. Without Hogan, wrestling would be no where near as popular as it is today.

A) This has been posted MANY times on this forum.
B) Shawn Michaels has done more heinous things in the business, those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
C) This is a cut throat business, ask any wrestler, or anybody in the business and they will tell you. They all respect Hogan because he made more money then any of them could ever dream, just ask the guys who came before him, and were lucky enough to still be around during the heights of Hulkamania. To paraphrase Bret Harts book "If you weren't on the house shows with Hogan headlining, you made considerably less money. Everybody wanted to be on Hogan's card."

How is that even possible? Shawn is doing what Hogan never would (or not too many times at least), and thats put his effort in seeing new superstars shine

I never saw the Hype of Hogan, to me he was just an enuthsiastic guy who could barely wrestle, the Leg drop as a finisher? Are you kidding me?
