From what I remember hearing...Rock came in when Shawn was being a dick, and at some point, Shawn was pushing for Triple H to go over Rock? Something along those lines...basically Shawn being an bunghole and Rock not having any part of that. I don't know what their relationship is like now.

i heard that The Rock has said when he did return for the match with Hogan and such that he wouldn't do it with HBK.

I don't know what their relationship is like now. someone here had posted recently that shawn had pushed for hhh to be the corporate champion at survivor series 98 instead of the rock, which really wouldn't suprise me. like hugo said, i'm sure in general they didn't "hate" each other but rock probably didn't appreciate shawn's use of politics to try and advance only his friends careers. |

I also heard Shawn wanted HHH to face Austin at WM15 instead of The Rock? I don't know how true that was, but I just remember the rumors of Shawn being a d*ck to The Rock's grandmother or something back in the heyday.

Shawn had a problem with i think Rock's father or his grandfather and vowed not to wrestle rock because of it or something. At least I think that was the rumor.

I hadn't heard the Wrestlemania 15 thing but Mick Foley said in Foley is Good that Shawn was the one who lobbied long and hard against a Mankind vs. Rock vs. Austin triple threat. Mick says that Shawn actually did want Mick in the main event but in a one on one match. He doesn't say against who but now that I think about it, he probably insisted on Foley vs. Austin. Shawn was probably trying to muscle Rock out. |

hers the skinny........Vince was seriously on the fence about who to choose as his corperate champ.......... HHH,Rock,Ken Shamrock,Foley were all in the running.Vince(wisely)settled on the Rock figuring that while the Rock was starting to get popular again now was the time for the turn. HHH was counted out because The Corperation needed strong Opposition and Austin/DX were those foes. when HBK and HHH heard this they both lobbied hard against the Rock being chosen and they both continued this Rock in the back thru 99/00..........as of September 2000 HHH didnt need anyones help he had a REAL power player in his pocket then  |

The Rock isn't exactly birthday card giving friendly with Shawn Michaels and definitely not HHH.That's for sure.
You can tell by The Rock's promos during HHH feuds,he's never been
'pals' with the guy.Interviews too.And not just on TV but REAL LIFE.
Now here's what Rocky said about HBK in 2005...

The Rock: I was never ever interested in working with him, to be honest with you. I’ve known him for a long time. i didn't know any of this before entering the thread, but after reading all the posts it seems there is definite underlying feelings between rock and hbk.
