in 99 Austin vs Rock at Backlash was better than their WM 15 encounter IMO.much better

2001: Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle, SummerSlam- Terrific match kinda marred by a DQ ending, but it made sense. Awesome story telling with Kurt kicking out of 3 Stone Cold Stunners and Austin goes ballistic and wails on tons of referees knowing he can't beat Kurt. I also like how none of the WWF refs would DQ him because they knew it would ruin Angle's chance but Nick Patrick finally did it, as it made a ton of storyline sense.

2002: The Rock vs. Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker, Vengeance- Great match between three of the best ever. May have saved the brand extension from flopping with its sheer greatness. I felt a great connection to this match as Taker was just awesome as the mega heel and he was by far my favorite at the time. Like I said, a great match although I was very dissapointed with Rock winning at the time.

2003: Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle, Wrestlemania- It probably helps that this was on the grandest stage of them all, but this was a terrific match between two great athletes. The IronMan match was also pretty great seeing it " live" but I don't remember a whole lot about that one. This match was amazing, even better considering Kurt had a broken neck and Brock suffered a concussion after that sick botched SSP.

2004: Eddie Guerrero vs. Brock Lesnar, No Way Out- One of my favorite matches of all time. It had everything--length( went 30 minutes), quality, and the surprise factor as not everybody thought Eddie would leave with the strap. It told a great story with Brock continually yelling " Just die Eddie!" and not being able to put him away. Goldberg's interferance was kind of pointless but served its purpose I guess. Good unpredictable ending as I assumed Lesnar was gonna win after kicking out of the spear and hoisting him for the F5. A true heartfelt emotion-packed moment when Eddie sealed the deal.

2005: Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels, Wrestlemania 21- I kind of drifted off from wrestling this year and I don't remember a whole lot but this match was great. The buildup was phenomenal as they really pushed it as what it was--a Dream match. The segments with Sensational Sherri and Marty Jannetty were great and the match delivered, firing on all cylinders.

2006: The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle, No Way Out- Not too much of a buildup or aftermath to this one making it often forgotten, but when the bell rung this was probably the most exciting match I've ever seen. The amount of counters, reversals, and false finishes in this one was just awesome. The ending was also terrific, with Angle pinning Taker while in the Triangle Choke, exactly how their title match on Smackdown ended in 2002, only back then the roles were reversed with Kurt making Taker tap. This match is really underrated as nobody ever talks about it because of the little buildup and the little aftermath. But it was 30 minutes of pure excitement.

2007: John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels, Wrestlemania 23- Great, great, match, easily the best of Cena's career. I also LOVED the Fatal Four Way at Backlash the following month but I'm giving this the nod because it was one-on-one in the main event of the biggest pay-per-view of the year. The two pulled out all stops( HBK's piledriver on the steel steps) and the crowd was very into it. Although I don't like the Cena bashing it was a very fun atmosphere with the crowd being firmly behind Michaels. Good false finishes and a great ending although most are still pissed over Shawn not taking the strap.

2008: The Undertaker vs. Edge, One Night Stand- I loved this match...I was torn between this and their match at Wrestlemania but I was way more into this one. I was behind Edge way more than I was behind anybody in history. This match had a ton of awesome spots, and it was really cool to see Taker take that finishing crash through the tables. The match had great psychology and told a good story as Taker was trying to survive in Edge's " environment" of Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. I was jumping up and down over the ending, my biggest markout moment of all-time.
