It makes sense. They're not allowed to get tattoos AFTER they have a developmental deal. WWE maintains their image because they're on television, so they should have to ask if what they're getting is permissible.

I don't know why people are surprised.
It makes sense to me that performers would have to get tattoos authorized.

I knew it I knew it. I always thought to myself that they had to get permission before doing that haha.

I agree that they should ask. Even if its unlikely but the tatoos might go against the character they are trying to portray. Know what I'm saying?

Well it is right in a way. I mean it's WWE's say as to what they can/can't do since the person's under contract.

I guess I can understand this, I mean if they got tats all over without asking, it would cost WWE money on stuff, for example new figure designs

Doesn't mean they aren't going to be brought up in the future at some point... this is like any other work place. You can't just go getting random crap tattooed everywhere and if you do at least have it covered. See MVP's tattoos.

As much as I want to agree with the WWE on this one I can't. Tattoos are very personal and I don't think a company should be able to tell you what you can and can not get. ![:-/](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/undecided.gif)

When you are signed to devolopmental you are signed based on your look and in ring work. If you change your look why can't you be fired? If a movie star is told he needs brown hair for a movie and then the day before they start filming it he dies it blonde they can fire him b/c its not the image they want so WWE can do the same only tattoos are not a removable thing.
