So this poster, handed out at NYCC, was kind of the catalyst for me being pretty excited about BftC. After reading issue 1, I'm even more pleased to see that this poster is plot relevant, and not just a bullsh*t teaser shot. On the evening of day one at NYCC, my partners in crime and I sat in our room and waxed philosophical about who's who (that wasn't obvious; Harley, Alfred, etc.) on that poster. Our guesses were (from left, to right): Batman #1: Tim Drake (noting the motorcyle and the staff) Batman #2: Dick Grayson (for lack of a better guess, and noting the Nightwing-ish Bat-Symbol) Batman #3: Harvey Dent (noting the obvious symbolism, and his role as Gotham's protector during "One Year Later") Batman #4: Jason Todd (Guns?) "Bruce Wayne": Obviously is Thomas Elliot, as depicted by the RIP tie-in from "Detective Comics", and the bandages. I was very happy to see that we were at least right on one account, as Tim Drake did take it upon himself to head out as Batman, against Dick's wishes.

jason todd looks great for the part. i can see thomas elliott being somehow brainwashed to play the position of bruce wayne.
harvey's suit is also pretty cool looking. good deducing on your part.

Nice job being able to notice all the detail in the poster SYE.
I read #1 the other day it was very good. And black mask is awesome. I hope nightwing ends up in the costume but it seems to obvious.

Picked up Azrael: Death's Dark Knight #1 today. Interesting enough to finish the mini.

Picked up Azrael: Death's Dark Knight #1 today. Interesting enough to finish the mini. I picked this up as well. Can anyone fill me in what this Battle For The Cowl is all about? Not a big DC reader.

I passed on the Azrael. Looked at the cover, noticed his boots and sweatpants and how he must've hoped to only scare people that look above his waist. Then one of our customers did it, and made the comparison to another fill-in hero wearing sweats: Battle for the Cowl was a neat read, not the strongest. I really liked the approach on Gotham Gazette. Still might pick up Oracle.
