D-RAY 3000 Reveals Why His Final TNA Meeting Still Bothers Him, The Legend Who Ran That Meeting, The Big Difference Between WWE And TNA, And More

He's one of the most unique wrestlers in the industry and, at only 26 years old, has ten years of wrestling experience under his belt. Now the man they call D-Ray 3000 joins ClubWWI.com to discuss his entire career.
While men twice his age dream of one day wrestling on the big stage, D-Ray already has. In fact, he's wrestled for the two biggest – WWE and TNA. One question that JG asked which got a reaction was about D-Ray's final days in TNA. How did his release happen? 3000 says that the circumstances surrounding his TNA departure still leaves a bad taste in his mouth:
"It still kinda bothers me because when Dusty Rhodes took over – Jeff Jarrett's wife was going through Cancer and all that stuff – he sat us all down. The X-Division guys. He sat us all down and how we were gonna be the focal point of the company, this, that, and the other. I didn't have a problem with Dusty. He was always nice to me and always said hello. But as far as the company standpoint, the business standpoint, his vision – I didn't fit with the TNA product, or whatever. But that was the last time I was down there in November 2004 and my contract didn't let up until July 2005 so I'm here with a TNA contract and I can't do nothing."
D-Ray goes on to tell ClubWWI.com listeners about how TNA handled his phone calls and the unprofessional way in which he was handled on the way out. While he harbors no real ill-will towards them, he wishes he could have left with a more direct explanation as opposed to how it happened.
On the flipside, D-Ray has nothing but great things to say about his brief time in WWE. While his original Velocity debut was cancelled because of an angle they had to do with Chris Benoit, 3000 wasn't out yet. His opponent for that cancelled match actually helped get him back in for his Ethiopian Title Defense against MVP on Smackdown. D-Ray tells that tale and then goes on to explain whether there are any differences between World Wrestling Entertainment and Total Nonstop Action:
"Oh big difference, man. Big difference. TNA, they're a good company. But WWE is kinda like the heaven of wrestling companies you could work for. Because they have everything right there you need. Now only did I wrestle for them one time, but I definitely saw that the level they are in how they treated their talent and everything is way better. Not to say that TNA doesn't treat their talent well, but the WWE, they're just, they're better."
D-Ray 3000 laughs and goes on to talk the debut of his Smackdown character, how it came about, and his surprise trip to WWE's wardrobe department. They say there are no spots in wrestling?
