I was looking at the RSC sale and saw a Deuce figure for $2, and even though I have zero interest in him and have never seen him wrestle (haven't watched the current product in a while), I kind of want to buy him for that price.
So, as an experiment, finish the following sentences (apply these to regular figures, not exclusives, 1/500's, etc):
1. I will buy virtually any figure if it is priced at ____ or under.
2. I will buy a figure of a wrestler I only have a mild interest in if it is priced at ____ or below.
3. I will pay up to ____ for a figure of one of my favorite wrestlers.
My answers:
1. $2-$3. I'm not going to buy the Deuce figure because of the shipping, but if I saw it at the store for that price I would buy it.
2. About $10. So, I used to buy quite a few CS when they were around $10, but now that they are $12 I pretty much cherry pick.
3. For a figure I really want, I'll probably pay upwards of $16 or $17. I know this because I think I'm going to order that Cactus Jack figure from RSC for that price.

1) $5 - assuming I don't already own the figure or another of the same person (I try not to duplicate)....I have bought figs for cheap for parts though
2) $7 - if I don't care much....why spend much?
3) retail - unless it's one that is hard to find in stores or is an older figure (highest I ever paid was $22.50 shipped for a loose mint complete CS8 Vader)

anything in a store priced at $3.99 or under i will buy ($6 for a two-pack)
any regular fig about $10 ($12 or 13 for a classic - in stores anyways)
for a really good single fig i will pay up to $25 (new, minus shipping)
price is relative as loose figures i won't really pay more than $10 shipped - and that's for my favorites.

the highest I have paid for a wresting figure was $29 it was defo my ceiling for a single figure.

I have a hard time spending more than $20 on AD sets and $13 on RA's. Anything above that I would never pay, since I'm so used to retail prices and such. When I find figures cheap on Clearance or whatever and I like them, I would buy them if the price was right. Like for example, I have passed on all of BNB 5 the past few months because of them being $8 at TRU. I found them at Wal-Mart for $5 yesterday and bought the ones I wanted just because of them being cheap.

Unless it's an IE (which I'll only pay the original price on) Or a CS figure that I really can't wait for I'm only willing to pay mass retail price for it. I don't pay the so called secondary market prices. If I don't get it when it's first released then I just don't get it. Now if it's a CS figure I really can't wait for and want to get it about a month or two before it shows up in my area retail stores I'll spend the $15 at RCS, but that's usually just one or two figures per set. In fact here are all the CS figures I've ever bought off RSC right here...
