......shouldnt he have pounded the snot outta Yokozuna and Fuji when he came back?
just seems like he let Yoko and Fuji get away with what went down at the Rumble doesnt it?
also wasnt this incredibly over the top even for WWE?

Nah, UT got his revenge on Yokozuna by beating him in a casket match at Survivor Series '94. Sure, it was several months after his SummerSlam return, but there you have it.

1.) He got Yoko back at the Survivor Series. 2.) Yes, even for '94 THIS was a little too goofy.

No. They built up his return quite well with a unique storyline. It gets a lot of crap these days but I still find it to be one of the better ones of the time frame. The match itself may not have been much but it was fine as well.
And as stated, Taker got his revenge when he beat Yoko in a casket match. That match really wasn't that great either. They spent the next few months hyping his revenge match and he finally got it. There wasn't anything wrong with it in my eyes.

I agree with the original post.
It would have made sense to have dealt with Zuna when he returned, thats what people wanted, and expected. The 2 Taker thing was good but i feel was possibly let down because of when it happened. I think they should have just swaped when the matches happened around. Summerslam would have been better to get revenge on Zuna. This could have led to a great feud between Taker and Taker from that point until S.Series.
It was good either way, but i do agree, revenge should have been delt with straight away IMO
