YGPW - Young Generation Pro-Wrestling, has been a full loaded force in professional wrestling since 2002. YGPW has seen some of wrestling's greatest stars go through its doors: Chris Benoit, Sabu, Eddie Guerrero, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, The Angle Brothers, Triple H, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Rob Van Dam, Jerry Lynn, CM Punk and many more.
In late-2006, due to mounting financial problems, YGPW shut its doors for what was announced to be a temporary basis, in mid-2007 it seemed like YGPW would be rising from the ashes, when original YGPW Dojo graduate RJ Kings started the Young Gen Dojo promotion, working with fellow YGPW graduates as well as rising YGPW star Eddie Kingston and wresting veteran Mike Quackenbush, to bring international stars to the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, home of YGPW's television tapings, and gave the YGPW Dojo graduates a chance to continue wrestling well the suits of YGPW figured out their own financial issues. By the end of 2007 it was announced the YGPW had found a financial backers in the US and in Japan. In 2008 YGPW toured the US, before having a extensive tour of Japan. Upon arrival home from Japan YGPW made short stop in the mid-southern US as well as Canada before making their return to television.
2008 was a rapidly paced year for YGPW. Their American financial backer, Hunter Hearst Helmsley came in as not just a major player behind the scenes but as well up front in the ring. Wrestlers who never got much of a chance prior to the 2008 rebirth; Nigel McGuinness, Claudio Castagnoli, Anthony Michaels, Jake Cannibal, Austin Aries, Joker and The Necro Butcher, were alligned right along with top stars CM Punk, Sabu, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and Tommy Dreamer. As well new stars, Larry Sweeney, Krazy K & TJ Mack, Davey Richards, Brain Damage, Danny Havoc, Brother YASSHI, Naomichi Marufuji and Max Boyer rose to fame.
By the end of 2008 CM Punk earned his third World Championship reign, defeating then-champion JC Bailey and long-time rival Chris Hero. The two teams who were hailed as argueably the two greatest in YGPW history of D & D: Christopher Daniels and Bryan Danielson, and Jay & Mark Briscoe; The Briscoe Brothers, reignited their old feud over the tag titles. Seeing D & D closing out the year as Tag Champions. The Television Title, Pure Cup Championship, Junior Heavyweight Title and Young Gen Dojo Championship all were unified in an action-packed series of matches featuring Alex Shelley, Mikah Kincaid, Naomichi Marufuji and now Unified Champion Jack Evans.
2008 saw the Death Match Division heat up with the debut of Brain Damage during the Japan tour. His youthful aggression lit a spark under veteran Messiah and the two would trade the title in a feud that also involved Necro Butcher, Toby Klien, Abyss, Shadow Killer and the Latino Armatta: Psychosis, Kemen Eskarna and Miguel Guardez.
2008 saw the debut of our Women's Title, held by one Woman through the majority of the year Mickie Knuckles, who got stuck in a dangerous rivalry between RJ Kings, Dingo Warrior 2000 and Samoa Joe, which saw Mickie forced to forfeit the title due to injury. The former Molly Holly, Nora Greenwald, won the title at years end but is well aware of a former champion looking for her title back.
January 2009 - Present Day:
It was announced that there would be no television tapings throughout the month of January, instead a free three hour supercard will be filmed from Houston, Texas. This show will feature the return of the Luck of The Draw Battle Royal, a matches who original and only winner was the late Eddie Guerrero. After Eddie's death the desicion was made to never have the match again, as it would be forever remembered as Eddie's match. With the blessing of Eddie's family and closest friends, The Luck of The Draw Battle Royal will make it's return. The original only featured 60+ men, this years will feature 90 men, all fighting for one chance, a chance at the YGPW World Heavyweight Championship.
YGPW World Heavyweight Title//Lumberjack Match

Punk's team: The Briscoes, Delirious, Colt Cabana, Eddie Kingston & Homicide
Hunter's team: Daniels & Danielson, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Dylan Creed & Abyss
The original Luck of The Draw show, Punk was challenging Chris Benoit for the belt. This year Punk is the champion, a 3-time champion, challenging one of his toughest opponents. It'll be the Pepsi Plunge vs. the Pedigree. These men have shown in previous encounters that they have a lot of friends, who love to pick a fight. This time around, those friends will certainly be allowed to get involved. With 12-men surrounding the ring, who all will later in the evening challenge 80+ other men for a shot at the belt, are their intentions pure, or are they all going to be looking to make a weaker champion. CM Punk has made it known that mentor, friend and hated enemy of Triple H: Mick Foley will be in the building. What does Foley have in mind for Triple H, and YGPW. Foley has a storied history with both.
