TNA President Dixie Carter has hit back at WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in an exclusive interview with The Sun.
Earlier this week Vince – who is trying to make his company more “family friendly” – said that he found some of the things on TNA television “reprehensible”.
However, Dixie has blasted her rival, saying that what happens on the PG rated Monday Night Raw is WORSE than anything on her show.
She told SunSport: “I think it’s wonderful that Vince watches TNA iMPACT.
“And I agree with him that things such as the brutal beating of a sixty-year-old man, a vicious home invasion and gratuitous man-on-woman violence can be seen as reprehensible – and that’s just the last three Monday nights.”
This week’s Raw started with Chris Jericho beating up Ric Flair, 60, so badly that the wrestling legend needed 11 staples in his head afterwards.
It ended with Randy Orton knocking out rival Triple H’s wife Stephanie with an inverted DDT.
On a previous show Triple H broke into Randy’s home and terrorised actors playing his wife and staff.
Controversies in TNA include Samoa Joe putting a knife to Scott Steiner’s throat and the use of NFL badboy Pacman Jones.
Vince had previously told the Hollywood Reporter: “My concern with TNA is that they are TV-14, and we are PG. They have to change with the times.
“I think some of the things they do on television are reprehensible, but it is a TV-14 rating.
“That's the only bone I have to pick with them. Their TV ratings are a fraction of ours.”

I agree with Dixie really. Those things WWE did are worse then anything TNA does yet WWE is supposed to be PG. I can't belive they had Orton kiss Stephanie while she was knocked out. That is basically sexual assault. That should not be on a PG show.

Is it really THAT big of a deal? I hate people who are too sketchy about what is on their wrestling programming. You are watching WRESTLING for crying out loud... It's entertainment. People don't really have a problem with stuff like this in movies or other TV shows but everyone makes a big deal about it when it's in wrestling. I hate society.

This whole putting a rating on a WRESTLING program is laughable. Even if the WWE was a PG rating, there are still parents out there that will not allow their children to watch wrestling.

This is great, hopefully WWE and TNA can have some legit beef between eachother... maybe the start of another war? Who knows...

In my opinion Samoa Joes current gimmick is worse than anything on WWE television, that 60 year old man happened to be a pro wrestler who knew what he was doing, and on TNA they happen to have superstars not far off that age, in there 50s so they have no room to talk. The tag-match was a comedy sketch, its like complaining about male-female action scenes in a movie. And atleast HHH didnt bring a knife with him to randy ortons house, abduct him, hang him upside down, threaten him with a knife then beat him with a kendo stick.

Honestly, a knife to the throat is worse than the things WWE did. It's not like those things haven't been done before. And it's for a good cause because it's adding heat to the main event of Wrestlemania, not just useless stuff before Lethal Lockdown.

Here is the only problem with all this, and I do like TNA and watch it.....Orton vs HHH ordeal the past few weeks have been entertaining. This Samoa Joe going to cut your head off deal, is just down right stupid. In all honesty, its made me change the tv more to find something else to watch then to tune i and see who the samoan savage is going to chop up next

The knife thing is still worse than anything WWE has done.

I cant believe WWE is doing all this PG Rating stuff. The time in their companies history that made them the most money and fame they were in no way shape or form PG. Steve Austin flipping everyone off, drinking beer and saying every non PG word in the book. DX have everyone Suck this or that, promoting beating the Hell out of your boss on a daily. The Rocks colorful Vocabulary, the Ministry, crucifying Austin on the Undertaker symbol. It was all great. Maybe Vince dosnt want TNA to be TV-14 because they might just do some good with it. But nothings stopping Vince from it. and Like some have said, not much of WWE seems PG The way I feel though, wrestlings is supposed to be fun. They are able to resolve problems the way we sometimes feel like resolving them..... with violence. If I want to see issues resolved peacefully I will watch Dr. Phils dumb ass. But I would rather see someone get savagely beaten

Dixie has some good points, but its funny because of the whole Samoa Joe thing. That is way worse than anything that WWE has put on TV in a long time, as long as I can remember actually. Someone threatening to basically massacre someone else does not make good TV in my opinion. It's very awkward for me to watch Joe promos now.

But, they've never actually shown him actually cutting someone.

When Joe breaks into Scott's house, cuts his dad's penis off, kidnaps his wife, and sexually molests a manikin, we'll talk
