That's sick...stories like this make me feel so empty and depressed...this is why I don't like watching slashers and the like...for the most part all they do is devalue life.

not that I approve of killing children but I love how total strangers make a remark like "Nobody deserves this" or "You were too good for this world" As far as we know she would take baby kittens every saturday and drown them in a trash bag in the river. Are you  ing stupid? Don't answer that. You absolutely are. A ing child has been killed, you piece of shit. For all we know, the person who did this had a personal vendetta against the family or maybe just one of the parents, so they decided to kidnap their daughter. No one knows what happened, but the fact that you even thought about the kid being at fault here, joking or not, is ing disgraceful. Go to hell. |

I said he seems to think not he said it's the end of the world. You people are going to have no energy left if you keep up with every single missing person or person that dies. A lot of your time will be gone as well. Why do we grieve her more than a solider? We don't have posts with RIP (name) every time a soldier dies, so we don't need one every time some little girl is murdered either. If this were a rare occurance, maybe then post it, but children get murdered probably every day and 99% do not get a post, why? I don't know, but something I guess made this girl special. The day a little girl signs the papers that say she may be killed, and receives free money for it; is the day I'll stop feeling bad for her. Nice comparison.  |

I live in Tracy, where she lived. I have driven by the memorial a few times. It is very, very sad that this happened. Keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers!

I'm just sitting here shaking my head at the apparently large number of posters that don't get why a child being murdered is a sad story. Either you're playing devil's advocate just to be adversarial, or your values are seriously out of whack.
The fact that it's even debatable to some people whether this story deserves a sympathetic reaction is disturbing.
