Last week on ESPN classic the two teams faced off in one of the best "fights" I have seen in the recent AWA shows the classic has aired. Michaels and Marty were blading, then bleeding, then just flat out bloody. They wore their white pants and it was amazing the amount of blood outside the ring, where most of the match was taking place, and on those white pants. It was a lasting image fore me in 2009 I can only imagine live in 86. Usually the broadcast shows a date but it only showed a year 1986. Does anyone know what the date was, I really want to find a video of this match. It looked like it was at the Showboat.

It was from October 1986....Try looking for a VHS/DVD called AWA: Blood on the Sand. It has that match and their cage match from '86 on it. The match you saw has bee called arguably the best AWA match of all time.

Im gonna look for this........why the hell wasnt the likes of this on HBKs DVD??? The "Bloodbath" match was on From The Vault. arent all those matches just highlights though? |

Thats real good stuff right there i seen it when i was like 5 or 6 i still have the awa vhs, ha ha, i was only about 1 when it was aired, good thing mom kept everything, lol!!

yes, these were the good old days. I has this match on vhs on the day it aired in 1986. simply unbelieveable compared to bloodbaths nowadays.
