The live attendance for the TNA Lockdown PPV in Philadelphia, PA looked to be in the 4,000-4,500 range.
The second "former World champion" was not Stevie Richards. As I noted yesterday on PWInsider.com, TNA only promised fans could begin to "unlock the identity" of the second former champ at the PPV, not that he would appear. We have details on the three hints from last night's PPV and who the champion will likely end up being in the Elite section of PWInsider.com.
There were loud "ECW" chants aplenty for Rhino, Stevie Richards and Team 3D. It's sort of funny to me as some in TNA complained that the fans were trying to get themselves over and "living in the past" at the same time TNA themselves were pushing Philadelphia as so important to Team 3D last night. It's not that fans were chanting ECW to get over - they simply see those talents as their "hometown guys". When you work in the same city every 2-3 weeks for YEARS, you are going to get that reaction when you return there.
After the Team 3D victory over Beer Money last night, all of the TNA concession stands put out a Team 3D "Tag Team Domination" T-shirt with yesterday's date and a photo of 3D on the front and a listing of all their Title wins by date and city on the back. Pretty shrewd idea.
TNA was selling the official Lockdown poster last night for only $5. People must have thought it was a steal as I saw a lot of fans walking around the building with them.
There were several indy workers, including Monsta Mack of JAPW, working as "TNA security" to catch Suicide in that crazy dive off the cage to the floor in the Xscape match.
Former ROH champion Xavier was visiting at the show last night.
Chucksent the following....I am not sure if any of you have Verizon wireless service and more specifically the VCast feature on it even if you do. I just noticed that the TNA area under Spike TV which is under Entertainment and previously featured Impact clips now seems to have the show, if not all at least the majority of it, broken down into about 10 or 11 parts. I scrolled down and it looks like the last two weeks or so they have been doing it. So now you have Spike, YouTube, and VCast among the ways to view TNA content.
Several readers who have Rogers Cable in Canada sent word that last night's Lockdown PPV was offered in HD for the first-time ever. I don't believe the PPV is even offered in HD in the United States.

Cablevision sent the following email to their analog subscribers today, announcing that SpikeTV, which carries TNA Impact will be moved to their digital tier:
Cablevision carries virtually all of the programming it offers in digital format. Beginning Thursday, April 30 and continuing through Tuesday, May 19, 2009, the duplicate analog feeds of certain Family Cable channels are being eliminated. These channels include ABC Family, AMC, BET, C-SPAN, CNN Headline News, Fuse, Galavision, History, Lifetime, MSNBC, MTV, MTV2, Spike TV, TV Land VH1 and WE. Once the analog feeds are eliminated, a digital cable box and iO Navigation (or a CableCARD) will be required in order to continue receiving the affected Family Cable channels.
At the same time, the duplicate analog feeds of C-SPAN, which is part of the Broadcast Basic package will also be removed in certain areas. Once the analog feeds are eliminated, a digital cable box and iO Navigation (or a CableCARD or QAM tuner) will be required in order to continue receiving C-SPAN.
Customers in the Bronx and Brooklyn, Newark/Elizabeth, Hudson and Paterson service areas are not affected by this initiative because the duplicate analog feeds of the Family Cable channels have already been removed.
Additional Background Information
The elimination of the analog feeds of these services will allow Cablevision to offer more programming, particularly more free high definition programming and interactive services.
In order to ease the transition, residential customers who do not have a digital cable box or a CableCARD will be offered a digital cable box and iO Navigation for one year free.

In a correction on TNA PPVs in HD, they are available by some carriers in HD. Time-Warner, which I subscribe to, actually carried the HD PPV feed for the first time.
Our own Richard Trionfo gets the PPV via Brighthouse Cable.
Chuck sent the following....Wanted to give you a heads up that I’ve ordered the last three TNA PPVs in hi-def. I have Verizon FiOS TV, which is awesome. The funny part of the situation is that the pay per views are the only time I get to see TNA in hi-def. Spike TV’s hi-def feed isn’t carried by Verizon. The price is the same for standard and hi-def PPVs.

TNA will be taping Impact Tuesday and Wednesday at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
Although he dropped the belt last night, Sting's TNA title reign was the longest reigning run for any champion since TNA launched their own "World title" and was also the longest singles title reign in Sting's career.
Christopher Daniels' official ring name is now simply "Daniels." No Fallen Angel, just Daniels.
There were no injuries coming out of the PPV last night, although I suspect Angelina Love got knocked loopy during the end of her title win last night during the Taylor Wilde bodypress.
The TNA PPVs actually launched in HD with Against All Odds.
The Team 3D "Team Dynasty" shirt I mentioned earlier today is already on sale at www.shoptna.com.
TNA is releasing a "World X Cup Tournament" DVD featuring last year's tournament exclusively through FYE stores.
