I was watching a few clips on youtube of wen the Undertaker returned as teh badass like the raw and SD after. I was just wondering did something really happen between them before he left in 99 or weneva it was.
Did he really walk out or was he juss taking time off to debut the new ABA gimmick.

Storyline wise he did walk out but he really had an injury
i dont remember to well but i think it took place soemtime after the unholy alliance

It was just a way for him to take time off for injury, and he ultimately suffered another injury during his time away. there were no bad feelings at all, the walkout was just the chosen storyline.

yeah he had been carrying nagging injuries for a while but hung around until he felt the time was right and he wasnt needed.that time was DEFO autumn 99-so good call UT.
he called the time himself.he was supposed to return at WM2000 but as stated he reinjured himself

I thought it was pretty refreshing for him to come out in judgement day 2000 as the ABA. the buildup etc. was all awesome

I had an idea it would happen, but wasn't totally convinced. The poster/website for the PPV had a picture of Kane's face. It was a close up shot, and in the middle of Kane's eye was the Undertaker's Symbol. The second I heard JR say "It's The Undertaker!" as I watched my scrambled PPV channel, I couldn't help but smile wide. |

exactly! the buildup was there - but we were all clueless as to what the build up was leading to - perfect surprise!

I remember it being fairly obvious/known that Undertaker was coming back at that show. I didn't have Sky Sports at the time and asked one of the lads at school how the Iron Man match turned out and if Taker came back. I remember him saying "he's come back as one of the Biker Mice From Mars."
