I'm just about finished with my seasonal binge of band tees of 2018. Found a treasure trove of 3xl's. Also got my hands on a "Kill The Kardashians" shirt like Gary Holt used to wear with Exodus hehe. I'm closing in on 37 and I still wear a lot of band and comic tees. What's wrong with me lol. I guess it's okay because 5 days a week I'm in a shirt and tie for at least 8 hours in front of a computer. Edit: still not quite done yet. Gotta see what the shows I'm hitting this summer have to offer. I am 30 and still love my band shirts. I don't feel quite right without one on, and my LB hat. I hope to never outgrow that feeling. Then again, I have to dress business like for work 5 days a week, so I rarely wear them.

Bummed that Soulfly and Nile are playing a show with tickets only 9.99 and I have to skip it. Adulting stinks sometime. I like Nile and Karl Sanders' other project, and face it Soulfly (even the "Nu Metal" albums) have always been damn good (love Max, even met him outside the venue walking his dog right after their show in 2006, really great guy, really cool metal story).

I just discovered Sylosis. I was watching a video of some internet tart, and she used 'Mercy' in it.

I remember getting a promo copy of their first album before it officially came out in 2008 (my buddy is a reviewer, journalist, author and he gave it to me) and I got into them a bit. I like Edge of the Earth the most. Check that one out.

I'm not going to lie, I have 3 Dollar Bill Y'all, Significant Other, and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water stored away with my CDs. Then again, I've also got over 50 Slayer shirts and enough concert experiences and extensive Thrash, Death, Black, NWOBHM, Obscure, Hardcore, Power, Prog music that my "Cred" (pffft. "Cred") and my metal card stays intact. But to each their own man right? Haha. LB, Korn, and bands of that ilk are gateway bands, so they are/were a necessary evil. Hell, Disturbed evolved from Nu-Metal to just a really good hard rock/heavy metal band. I can't fault anyone on the music they like. I may think the band sucks. Sorry Man haha, I know you weren't necessarily ragging on him and just joking, I just went off on a tangent. My bad.

I usually call SOAD nu-metal, but that may not be necessarily the case. They have a unique sound that is great. A7X was sometimes called Metalcore, but the destinction may depend on which era/album.

Spotify's Discover Weekly has come through again. On my playlist this week, a band called Damnation Angels and their cover of Metallica's No Leaf Clover. It's a sick cover. Haven't listened to anything else by the band, but if one can judge on their cover of NLC, they're pretty damn good.

The single most annoying song ever, in the entire library of Rock Band. Through 4 games, a major expansion [Rivals], every week of DLC, and RBN included. Can't stand it. LOL!

Re-listening to Manson's Holy Wood this morning reminds me of how amazing it was. Anyone have a favorite Manson album?
