As expected, John Cena will be dropping the World Heavyweight Championship to Edge tonight at Backlash. While it's been expected since the draft due to there being no champion on SmackDown and Edge being a member of the blue brand, there is another reason why Cena will be dropping the title tonight to confirm that there won't be any wacky swerve on the part of WWE to throw fans off. They could always have CM Punk cash in but we'll see.
Cena is expected to take some time off from the road in May to begin work on his next film. As a result, he will be unable to work house shows, and as a cardinal rule, WWE Champions must always appear at house shows.
While he'll likely be taking some time off from house shows for a while, as in the past, he is expected to work around his filming schedule and work television tapings and pay-per-views events in the meantime.

I think we'll get the mandatory LMS standing finish, neither man is able to comply.
Vickie will then come out - restart the match and Edge'll go apecrapon Cena with a spear and a couple of conchairtos.
Then again, Cena will retain.

Cena wins, Edge is angry, Punk cashes in, wins while Edge looks on. I think that'd be awesome.

Ugh I love Edge more than any other wrestler, but I'm getting sick of him winning the strap. It would be nice if his reigns were legit, but they got stale after the 5th one.

I'm all for Cena dropping and Punk winning.
Only if it doesnt mean Cena coming back at Summerslam and beating Orton/HHH for the strap.
A Proper Punk/Edge fued would at least be refreshing aslong as Punk doesnt drop to Edge for him to become 9 time champion.

This is just speculation, BUT, the plot, I think will have some madman capture his girl and then he has to whoop ass and rescue her. Just a possibility  |

I hope John Cena is our generation's version of The Rock. That means, the more movies he's in, the less he cares about wrestling, and the less he's on my television.
