Osi Umenyoira is like the nicest guy ever next to Kareem McKenzie.
Dude signed 3 things for me today like it was nothing.
Sal Palamtonio (sp?) is a nice guy but kinda akward in person.

Just got back from Bucs practice. I have to admit, Freeman really impressed me. Too bad none of it matters. That's not a personal attack on you, it's pointless to be like "such and such looks good in camp." They are professional athletes, so it isn't a surprise when everyone looks good in shorts and no pads. Now, if that player brings it to the field when it's game time, then fans can get excited. I've never been excited about any player because of what they did in camp. I don't understand why others get excited because someone looks good in camp either.

True. I am going to hold all rants on him until I see him play in the NFL. Cause ya never know, eh? I cant say for certainity. But from what he has shown us in the college level.....no way. I dont even see him being a capable backup. Agreed. The Broncos were talking about him too to replace Cutler and I was praying they didn't. Honestly, same went for Sanchez. I didn't like any of the QBs in this year's draft. I truly love Sanchez. I think he has a chance to turn out to be a star. And the biggest reason for that.......the Jets have surrounded him with talent. The offensive line is one of the best in the league. Their defense is coming off a huge year and have only made upgrades with Scott and Leonard. Gholston is finally starting to look good, albeit in camp and I still have HIGH reservations on him. The Jets have an above average running game, adding Green is going to move that running game into the middle of the top 10. Sanchez has a few weapons to throw to. Cotchery is a SOLID #2 receiver. Keller is a great pass catching TE.....cant block worth a poop. But hey. Brad Smith adds mystery, as he is a former QB. Stuckey works well in the slot and has some decent hands. And finally, Clowney has blazing speed. There are still some major needs.....IE #1 WR and depth at LB. But the Jets are in the right direction. Freeman is terrible and Sanchez is the second coming of god. It doesn't make any sense NONE and I repeat NONE of the QBs in this year's draft are going to be superstars. Also the reason you LOVE Sanchez so much is because he is a Jet. I'm 100% positive if Freeman was drafted by the Jets he would've been the second coming in your eyes. I just don't see how most football fans can be so blind when it comes to stuff like this. Rooting for your team/or players on your team is fine but saying a rookie will be elite is ridiculous. Also the Jets AREN'T THAT GOOD. They most likely finish 3rd or last in the division. Also I love how now the Jets recievers are all great at one thing or another, really? Last I remembered NONE of the recievers were great, so why would you say something so stupid just because you're blinded by fandom. Anyways on topic, I really hope Carolina does good but it'll be rough, espescially with one of their starting DTs Kemoatu who got hurt in practice and was carted off.

Gonna agree on the Freeman and Sanchez thing. In fact, as far as former USC QBs go, I'll take Carson Palmer and even Matt Leinart over Sanchez. Wouldn't go as far as to say John David Booty, biut you can keep Sanchez. However, I disagree about that team not being good. Rex Ryan is going to bring a toughness to that team I don't ever remember them having. Bart Scott is one of the best free agent signings of the offseason and the defense will be very good. The definitely finish above Buffalo and I'll put them over Miami as well. New England is still the class of that division but the Jets will contend for a wild card spot. They'll be better than they were last year with Brett ing Favre.

I might agree about none of the QB's in this year's class being "superstars" if I didn't read people praising Joe Flacco everywhere I look, for the 'great rookie season' he had.
Flacco threw for less than 3,000 yards, only 14 touchdowns, 12 INT's, and he was garbage in the playoffs... And people are acting like he's something special.
Mike Vick's passing numbers were practically that good... Except that he also ran for 1,000 yards and terrified defenses, which helped open up the running game for whoever else was lined up in the backfield.
The media's definition of "superstar QB" has gone from actually being good to "any QB who is on a playoff team."

Here is a case of someone not paying much attention. If Freeman was selected by the Jets, I would not be praising the guy. I'm the same guy that hated the Vernon Gholston pick from day 1. I am also the same guy that bitched on these boards about how I did not want Freeman and how incredibly inconsistent he is. I am not blinded by FANDOM.....like you want me to be. Please find in my post where I guarantee Sanchez to be a star. Its not there. I am a Sanchez fan. I stated that I THINK he has a chance to become a star. I also THINK Beanie Wells can be a star. I THINK Laurinitas can be a star. As far as the Jets and how good they are........500 at best. Tough schedule, rookie QB, new coach, NE......all things that equate to 8-8 at best. But I also believe 8-8 is good enough to contend for second in that division. Buffalo is awful and Miami will not sneak up on anyone. What do you want me to say about the Jets receivers? They must be good at something or they wouldnt make an NFL roster. And great? Once again.......never mentioned greatness. I mentioned what they were good at. I also mentioned Cotchery to be a SOLID #2.

It's so annoying hearing no one praise the Dolphins. In a way we snuck up, but after the first NE game, how is it sneaking up when you should study your opponent? And it's not like they used the wildcat like 80% of the time, it was really not often at all. And everyone else thinks we are still a bad team and not improving. Pennington plays mistake free football, and Chad Henne is looking good as the backup (future starter most likely). The receivers have had time to get stronger and be better. Ronnie Brown is a year removed from surgery. Gibril Wilson was signed and Bell is a good safety too. Will Allen is pretty decent at corner, and we drafted Vontae Davis and Sean Smith, both good prospects. Jason Taylor is back. D-Line and O-Line geling better. end of rant

No one gives the Dolphins credit because the Patriots damn-near won the division without (arguably) the best QB ever to play the game.
With Brady back, the Patriots are the favorites to win the division. I'm not going to count the Dolphins out, but let's be honest here -- the Patriots are the favorites.
