Woot! I got another huge victory! I am so pumped now. Kevin Shamrock making history by getting the first ever victory via disqualification was awesome. The main event sounded sick. A good night for Tri-State and I hope we continue to have success.

NWL.com - BREAKING NEWS: The National Wrestling League has announced that the 'Best of the Best 2009' Tournament will be held October 3rd - October 7th, a span of 3 shows, in none other than ALBERTA, CANADA! NWL goes international for this tournament and apparently, some 'classic' Canadian talent should be showing up for the event. It was also announced that Canada's own Alexisonfire will be playing the tournament to promote their new CD, "Old Crows/Young Cardinals". Check back for more updates soon! - BREAKING NEWS PART 2: Mike Bockwinkel, captain of the New York Crush, has been suspended for the next 3 shows due to his actions following his match in Chicago. Bockwinkel cannot be found to comment on this. In his time off, Nick Jacobs will be recalled for the weekend and Kevin Hart will be New York's active captain. - We here at the Roundup thought that we would have the DVD listings this week, but for some reason they have yet to come out. Keep checking back for more updates. Hopefully next week we can get to the bottom of this! - Talks of a draft in the off-season are growing stronger. This would bring in more talent, younger of course, and it would also expand the rosters. - Steve Corino [Boston Brawlers] was actually a bit pleased that he was sent down by Tim Smith. This allows him to heal any nagging injuries he may have. Top 10 of the Week:1. Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted] [Last Week: 1 (/)] 2. Kevin Hart [New York Crush] [Last Week: 2 (/)] 3. Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] [Last Week: 3 (/)] 4. LyNN [Chicago Warriors] [Last Week: 4 (/)] 5. Evan Pagano [New York Crush] [Last Week: 5 (/)] 6. Some cool news there. I wonder who these Canadian legends will be. Hopefully someone from LA wins the tournament, but I think the favorites are Kevin Hart and LyNN. Keep it up man.

Whoa, didn't expect this stuff out of Bockwinkel. I'm intriqued as to what is wrong with this guy. LyNN was on a roll in the main event, good stuff. Can't wait for more.

...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Los Angeles, CA 08/25/09 - 7:00 PMWelcome back to California folks! We are almost out of the dog days of Summer and what a way to celebrate then with a night of NWL action! I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and we are prepared for some awesome competition as the first place Most Wanted look to take a bigger lead in the West! They will have 2 chances to do so tonight! - Before the show began, a series of announcements were made including Mike Bockwinkel's 3 event suspension, The Best of the Best dates/location/band and NWL DVDs. vs. Match #1; Nick Jacobs [New York Crush] vs. Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors]- After 06:32 of action, Nick Jacobs flat out embarrassed himself in his return match and allowed Thompson to make quick work out of him. Thompson polished him off with the Roll The Dice and the pinfall to end the quick match. Decent opening contest. vs. Match #2; Josh White [Boston Brawlers] vs. Matt Justice [Tri-State Evolution]- After 12:23 of action, in what you might think to be a stinker, Matt Justice continued his winning ways in an absolutely good match here, after nailing a Double Underhook Powerbomb on White to get the pinfall. These two brought the crowd into the show and into this match heavily. - After the match, the two men shook hands after having both men's best contest of the season! vs. Match #3; Devin Curtis & Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Waned] vs. Kenny King & Ken Anderson [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 16:54 of action, the home crowd had a reason to cheer, after Ace Bennett finished off Ken Anderson with the Syracuse Drop and the pinfall. Curtis looked back to normal, so to speak, and the crowd was really hot for this one. King looked good still in this loss. - Following the match, Kenny King walked angrily backstage, leaving his partner in the dust. - Intermission - - It was announced that Ace Bennett of the home crowd Los Angeles Most Wanted will be signing autographs after the show! vs. Match #4; Assassin & LyNN [Chicago Warriors] vs. Cameron Stone & Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers]- After 24:52 of action, LyNN and Chicago continued their winning ways of late, following the Assassin's Way from Assassin to Cameron Stone. Smith looked fully healed tonight and back on his game, even though his team lost. The crowd gave Chicago a nice cheer following the Assassin's Way. vs. Match #5; Kevin Hart & Evan Pagano [New York Crush] vs. Duan Sanchez Jr. & Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution]- After 15:47 of action, in a basic handicap match, New York was able to pull out the victory without their captain tonight, following The Calling on Shamrock. Sanchez basically wrestled the whole match for his team as Shamrock was still a little banged up from that assault last show. Sanchez almost won the match, but the superteam of Hart & Pagano put him down. vs. Match #6; Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 27:01 of action, in the match of the night by far, Red Dragon was able to pull out the 2nd victory for Los Angeles in front of their home crowd tonight and he was able to do it following the Red Dragon Driver. These two wrestled a clinic in front of this Los Angeles crowd and it was a frenzy after the RDD was hit. Awesome main event here between these two. - We will be back in Los Angeles on the 9th of September and will join you next 4 days from now in New York! SEE YOU THERE FOLKS!

Another good show, sad to see Jacobs being job boy, Justice winning is good, spelt Wanted wrong in the 3rd match, glad Devin got a win, althoguh it would be nice to see Ken get more wins, Chi-Town are doing awsome, NY looks good without captain even if the other team is injured why not give him the night off, Good to send the LA fans home happy, don't like the double pictures for tag matches, just keep it to one in my opinion, good luck

I like LA not losing since they are in their home town. I love that I am on a winning streak, that makes me rather happy. I was disappointed to see Tri-State lose the tag match, but it was a pretty unfair match.

Devin Curtis and Ace Bennet winning makes me happy, not just because we won, but because Devin's losing streak is over. Pagano/Hart winning is awesome. Overall, another solid show, duaner. Keep it up.

...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! New York, NY 08/29/09 - 8:00 PMWelcome to my stomping grounds...NEW YORK CITY! Hello all, I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa, as always, and tonight, the now first place Crush look to improve on their minor lead in front of their fans and without their captain! Tonight, they will have 2 chances to improve, as we will see a night of 2 triple threat matches and 3 tag team matches! Let's get under-way! vs. Match #1; LyNN & Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors] vs. Jason Williams & Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 21:04 of action, Ace Bennett was the man who suffered the loss for his team here, following a Roll The Dice from Thompson. These teams were pretty evenly match and Chicago was able to come out on top. The crowd was behind Bennett here, since he can please them easily, and when he went down, it was a shock. - Afterward, a nice 4 way handshake was exchanged. Great sportsmanship here. vs. Match #2; Kenny King & Ken Anderson [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Josh White & Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers]- After 09:54 of action, Las Vegas was able to finally pull out a win, which seems like their first in forever, after Anderson caught Stone with the Mic Check. Crowd wasn't as into this one as the last, but the quality of the match was still definitely solid and was pretty even. vs. Match #3; Matt Justice & Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Evan Pagano & Nick Jacobs [New York Crush]- After 16:26 of action, the crowd couldn't be mad even though their team loss, since New York native Sanchez Jr. picked up the victory! Sanchez finished Pagano off with a Gutwrench Powerbomb and got the pin. The man who looked best here though was definitely Matt Justice, this guy keeps improving each night! Crowd gave this match some applause at the end. - Intermission - - An announcement involving the Best of the Best tournament will be made this week on the Roundup and also featured on the Roundup this week is the first ever Minor League reports! Be sure to be on the look out for these updates! - In a crowd interactive wrestling trivia game, two Long Island native won themselves a NWL shirt of their choice after answering 9 questions correctly in a row. vs. vs. Match #4; Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Assassin [Chicago Warriors] vs. Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution]- After 15:12 of action, in the first of two captains triple threat matches, Trace Demon was able to score another victory for Las Vegas tonight following a Demonstration of Hell on Assassin followed by a pinfall. The crowd was a little dead on the match, but the 3 men looked pretty well in the ring together. Not a bad match, but not great! vs. vs. Match #5; Kevin Hart [New York Crush] vs. Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers]- After 25:25 of action, the interim captain for New York, Kevin Hart, was able to defeat two real captains, after he put Tim Smith down with a release German Suplex! Dragon tried to break up the 3 count, but it was too late. To the crowd's pleasure and surprise, Hart was able to pick up the victory for New York! Awesome match here to end the show! - We will be visiting New York again on the 29th of September! Tickets are completely sold out!
