...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Los Angeles, CA 09/09/09 - 7:00 PMHey, look at the date! Its 09/09/09 and what does this mean? It means that you are about to witness some great wrestling action! I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa here in California and tonight, the NWL look to bring you some great moments in wrestling as the school season starts yet again! The Most Wanted look to rebound from their losing ways and what a better way then in front of your home crowd! vs. vs. Match #1; Ken Anderson [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers] vs. Evan Pagano [New York Crush]- After 16:15 of action, it was Cameron Stone who walked away victorious, in what seems the first time in forever, following the Cam Slam on Anderson followed by a pinfall. Pagano seemed to have the match wrapped up, but Anderson low-blowed him behind the referee's back and that actually cost Anderson the match also as he turned around into a Cam Slam! Stone seemed very happy following this victory! vs. Match #2; Matt Justice & Duan Sanchez [Tri-State Evolution] vs. LyNN & Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors]- After 21:26 of action, in a helluva tag team match between four great competitors, it was the Tri-State Evolution who emerged victorious over Chicago, after Thompson was caught and took a underhook powerbomb from Justice! The crowd was simply stunned that the Evolution got the victory, but the match was very even to the end. Justice looked on fire here. - Following the bell, LyNN checked on Thompson, who appeared to land funny on Powerbomb. He needed to be helped out by LyNN and it looked like he was holding his neck. Doesn't look good for Chicago! vs. Match #3; Devin Curtis [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers]- After 14:40 of action, it was Devin Curtis who walked out victorious in front of his team's home crowd, following the 450 Splash. Smith looked like he wanted this win very badly for his team, but couldn't defeat the obstacle that stood in his way. Curtis, who has been up and down lately, really proved himself out there and the crowd loves him. - Intermission - - If you missed it, LyNN was announced to be the 4th seed and the 5th seed is none other than Evan Pagano! Keep checking NWL.com before each event for more information of the 'Best of the Best' 2009 tournament! vs. Match #4; Mike Bockwinkel & Kevin Hart [New York Crush] vs. Trace Demon & Chris Hammers [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 22:03 of action, this match had me thinking how badly Chris Hammers wanted to be back in the ring, as he completely wrecked Kevin Hart with the Bloodrush to get the victory. Hart, who looked to have an off night, had to wrestle by himself basically, since Bockwinkel argued with a fan at ringside almost the entire match. Demon looked like himself here tonight, but nobody was better than Chris Hammers! - Afterward, Bockwinkel got back into this fan's face and told him, "you will never be able to come aboard...NEVER!" The fan had himself a good laugh at this comment! vs. vs. Match #5; Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Assassin [Chicago Warriors]- After 23:04 of action, Assassin was able to pick up the victory in this captain's triple threat, after nailing Shamrock with the Assassin's Way. Shamrock, who seemed to be a little banged up still, was a bit slow in this match and he was definitely the weak link. Dragon, who the crowd was behind, also seemed to have an off night and Assassin was able to take full advantage of this! - We will join you again in Los Angeles on Halloween Night! Its a long while before we return to California. We join you great fans next 2 days from now, on the 8th annual remembrance of the attacks of September 1tth, in Hartford, CT! See you all there!

LyNN and Pagano are great choices, nice ending it was different and Stone got a win, nice tag match I thought Tri State would win, Devin wins and Smith loses again, I think I know where this Bock thing is going if its the same thing he suggested in SNW, Hammers looking awsome is amazing, Assassin winning is an upset, Halloween in LA better do something awsome

Good announcements for LyNN and Pagano being in Best of the Best. Nice that Curtis got a victory for our team. The Bockwinkel stuff is getting more and more interesting every show. Sucks that Dragon lost but it happens. Looking forward to the next show.

...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Hartford, CT 09/11/09 - 7:00 PMHello all and welcome to another great edition of NWL Live! We are getting closer and closer to the Best of the Best tournament, live in Alberta, and tonight will just be another stepping stone along the way! I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and I am here to provide you with tonight's results and such, as the Evolution look to continue their positive ways as of late! Let's get to the action! - Before the show began, a moment of silence was held to remember the attacks on the World Trade Center on this day eight years ago. Following the silence, God Bless America was played for the crowd. vs. Match #1; Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers] vs. Ken Anderson [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 12:34 of action, Cameron Stone continued to turn around his season with his second win in a row, following a big Cam Slam to Anderson. Stone looked pretty good in this match again and he made Anderson look like an amateur. The crowd really hated both of these guys and who could blame them? Not a bad wrestling match to open the show though. vs. vs. Match #2; Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors] vs. Jason Williams [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Evan Pagano [New York Crush]- After 15:32 of action, in a really good action-packed triple threat, it was Evan Pagano who walked away with the solid victory for the first place Crush. Pagano was able to nail Williams with The Calling and score the quick three count to the crowds delight. These fans really love the St. Louis native and he gave them something in return. - Following the match, all 3 men showed respect and shook hands with each other. Great sign of respect here. vs. Match #3; Matt Justice [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 10:14 of action, the irate Ace Bennett was able to easily handle Matt Justice and put him down with the Syracuse Drop. Bennett seemed very upset here tonight and he took out all of his anger on the scapegoat Justice. The crowd really had no reaction to this and poor Justice seemed to be banged up a tad. - Intermission - - If you missed it earlier, Trace Demon & Duan Sanchez Jr. were announced as the 6th & 7th seeds respectively. Please be sure to check out NWL.com for more updates! - The NWL Roundup will feature some more information on the Best of the Best, so don't miss this weeks update! vs. Match #4; Kevin Hart [New York Crush] vs. LyNN [Chicago Warriors]- After 25:06 of action, in an epic match between two competitors on hotstreaks, LyNN was able to surpass Hart here and finish him off with a Tornado Springboard DDT! Hart gave it all he could in this one, but LyNN got the best of him tonight. The two really put on a show for the crowd though and a big cheer was heard afterward. - Also after the match, the two men shook and hugged it out in the ring. Excellent match! vs. vs. Match #5; Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Josh White [Boston Brawlers] vs. Chris Hammers [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 25:12 of action, the bitter rivalry between Hammers & Sanchez continued in this match, as these two started battling right away. In the outcome, it was Sanchez Jr. who won the match in front of the Hartford crowd, following a SGM on White, who seemed very awkward in this match. White also seemed out of place as the other two were tearing each other apart. Hammers still looked dominant in the match and he only lost by a few seconds! - We will be back in Hartford on the 27th of September! Our next NWL event is tomorrow in Chicago, IL! Be sure to check in for results!

...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Chicago, IL 09/12/09 - 2:00 PMAfter a busy night traveling, we are back for some more NWL live! Jimmy Pietrafesa here to do some reporting on the event and tonight, Chicago looks to finally make that big leap into first place contention. Will they be able to accomplish their goal and win both of their matches? We will have to take a look at the action to find out! vs. Match #1; Devin Curtis & Jason Williams [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Matt Justice & Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution]- After 15:42 of action, the Most Wanted started the day off the complete opposite of what they wanted, as they fell to the Evolution following a double underhook from Justice to Curtis. Sanchez Jr. seems to have a new lease on life and is competing great in the ring. The crowd was able to get into the match to warm them up! vs. Match #2; Chris Hammers [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Josh White [Boston Brawlers]- After 04:01 of action, in an absolute squash match, Chris Hammers proved why you shouldn't mess with him when he is angry, as he crushed White with the Bloodrush for the victory. There really isn't much to say about this match, only that Josh White really got himself destroyed pretty bad. Hammers looked like a beast in the ring. - Afterward, Hammers added another Bloodrush for good measure. He seemed extra pissed off tonight! vs. Match #3; Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors] vs. Kevin Hart [New York Crush]- After 12:55 of action, Kevin Hart was able to bounce back from a couple of rough matches and make Brian Thompson submit to the sharpshooter. The man with no relation to any wrestling Hart really looked well in the ring and Thompson was still able to hold his own for most of the match. Crowd was very disappointed to see their team lose, but the crowd also loves Hart. - Intermission - - If you guys forgot to check NWL.com this morning, Brian Thompson was selected as the 8th seed and Steve Corino was selected for the 9th seed in the Best of the Best tournament! Another update for the BOTB should be coming up in the Roundup this week! - Other things in the Roundup this week include; update on the draft situation, the minor league roundup, the weekly 10, and an exclusive interview with Kevin Hart! vs. Match #4; Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers]- After 20:41 of action, Tim Smith picked up the victory for his Boston team tonight, after defeating Shamrock with a STO. Smith looked back into his old form and hopefully this win can kick start his team, who seem to be fading into oblivion. Smith also came off as a dick in the match as he cut corners to make sure he got the victory. Very ruthless tactics used by Smith in this one. vs. Match #5; Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Mike Bockwinkel [New York Crush]- After 10:53 of action, in an out of the ordinary ending for the match, Trace Demon picked up the victory for Las Vegas following a count out on Mike Bockwinkel. The two were battling it out until Bockwinkel was thrown out of the ring. He started to argue with a fan in the front row after the fan made a comment. After a little of arguing, the fan struck Mike Bockwinkel with a pirate flag...yes, a pirate flag and was immediately escorted from the arena. Bockwinkel was then counted out and Demon got the victory. - Bockwinkel seemed puzzled after the match, but shook it off. He started talking to another person at ringside and told him, "...that mate must've been hit wit dat there scurvy yar!" The fan member busted out laughing as Bockwinkel walked to the back. Honestly, what the is going on here? vs. Match #6; Ace Bennett & Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. LyNN & Assassin [Chicago Warriors]- After 29:31 of action, the home crowd was able to go home happy after a great match here, when LyNN nailed Dragon with a Springboard Tornado DDT and got the quick three count. Ace seemed on his game here tonight, but couldn't quite pull out the victory for LA. The crowd was really worked over during this match and these four guys put on a show! - Afterward, Bennett left his captain in the ring all by himself. Dragon wanted to know what was up with Bennett, but he just shoved him off and walked to the back. - We return to the great state of Illinois on the 18th of October! And we join you next not for 15 days, as we take a nice vacation. We resume action on the 27th in Hartford! Enjoy your weeks off, once we come back, its non-stop!

NWL.com - Best of the Best Update: We have received word that each BOTB match will have the following time limits; first round - 20 minutes, second round - 25 minutes, third round - 30 minutes, and the finals will have no time limit! This is just to ensure that we get the maximum amount of action in a reasonable time limit! - In an recent interview, Kevin Hart [New York Crush] made the following statement regarding the Best of the Best 2009; "...I think its going to be great going back home. To wrestle in front of a Canadian crowd is by far my life-long dream, especially to be wrestling in front of some of the business' best of all time. It should definitely be an experience and I cannot wait to wrestle in the second seed!" - It has been confirmed that a draft will be occurring in the off-season. New talent will be thrown into a pool and 2 rounds of selection will take place! This means that the rosters/cap space should be expanded next year! - Minor League Report: Really not much to report on here. Just that Tom Diamond is starting to cause some havoc down here as he is itching to get back up to the majors. Nick Jacobs is still having problems connecting and needs to definitely work on his skills. Kenny King has been more than happy to wrestle down here as it gives him a lighter schedule. Top 10 of the Week:1. Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted] [Last Week: 1 (/)] 2. Kevin Hart [New York Crush] [Last Week: 2 (/)] 3. LyNN [Chicago Warriors] [Last Week: 4 (+1)]4. Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] [Last Week: 3 (-1)]5. Evan Pagano [New York Crush] [Last Week: 5 (/)] 6. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] [Last Week: 6 (/)] 7. Only a short reply sorry, suprised Thompson qualified I don't see him as a top guy, sad face for LA losing both tag matches, I can't wait to see what happens in the Ace and Bockwinkel storylines, glad to see LyNN up there even if he knocked me down a peg, good luck and keep this up

Saw that I hit a small snag with two straight losses, but gaining a win again is great. Liked my small interview and hopefully Hart/Bennett go at it in the finals of the BOTB.

...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Hartford, CT 09/27/09 - 1:00 PMWelcome back everyone to NWL Live! I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and I hope that you folks had a nice few weeks off, but today, we are back in action here in Hartford! The Evolution look to move up in the standings tonight and they will certainly have a few chances to do so! Let's get to the action that is two weeks in the making! - Before the show began, it was announced that Jason Williams has been sent down to the minor leagues and Tom Diamond has been recalled for the Los Angeles Most Wanted. Diamond is scheduled to wrestle tonight! vs. Match #1; Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers] vs. Assassin [Chicago Warriors]- After 14:40 of action, Cameron Stone walked out victorious again here tonight, following a Cam Slam to his opponent. Stone was being a real dick to the entire crowd, showboating after every move, and I guess he had a right to since he was on point. Assassin just fell to the higher power that is Stone, excellent opener! vs. Match #2; Ace Bennett & Devin Curtis [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Evan Pagano & Kevin Hart [New York Crush]- After 23:42 of action, in an epic encounter between four of the brightest superstars today, it was the Most Wanted who overcame Pagano & Hart, following a Syracuse Drop from Bennett to Pagano. The match was very even and back & fourth. The crowd was really pulling for the New York side, but they just fell short. Hart just missed breaking up the three count. - Following the match, Ace got right in Hart's face and told him, "THATS HOW YOU DO IT!" Bennett walked off as Kevin Hart checked on his teammate. vs. Match #3; Matt Justice [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Ken Anderson [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 14:56 of action, it was the home team's Matt Justice who brought Justice, yes pun intended, to Anderson following a Double Underhook Powerbomb. This match was very even and the crowd thought that their team was doomed when Anderson went for the Kenton Bomb, but Justice moved and then delivered the DUP. Nice way to go to intermission! - Intermission - - If you missed it earlier this morning, Devin Curtis, Chris Hammers, & Jason Williams were selected to be the 10th, 11th, and 12th seeds respectively in the Best of the Best 2009 tournament! - During the intermission, Sean Shafer [Tri-State Evolution] came down to the ring in front of the Evolution crowd. He told the fans that his doctor has cleared him to wrestle and he should be able to return around the middle of October, just in time to help the Evolution make the play-offs! Crowd loved this little promo and it lifted their spirits! vs. Match #4; Tom Diamond [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 05:14 of action, the match had to be stopped due to an injury to Tom Diamond's left leg. Diamond went to hit a dropkick and he landed completely wrong on his left leg, causing him to writhe in pain in front of the crowd. The referee awarded Demon the match and Trace, along with Devin Curtis, helped Diamond to the back! vs. Match #5; Mike Bockwinkel [New York Crush] vs. Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers]- After 17:08 of action, in a pretty even match between two psychos, it was Smith who out-psychoed Bockwinkel in an actual wrestling match. Smith put Mike down with a STO and got the pinfall. Smith looked like a mad-man again, as he wants his team to start picking up the slack! An interesting note though, Bockwinkel came down to the ring with an eye-patch on. This guy has lost his mind! - Afterward, Smith made fun of Bockwinkel's eye patch and tore it up right in front of him. Apparently, Bockwinkel only had a paper eye patch. The crowd laughed at Bockwinkel and he didn't take to kindly to it. He ended up throwing a chair into the crowd...which is definitely a no-no! Luckily, nobody was hurt! vs. Match #6; LyNN [Chicago Warriors] vs. Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution]- After 26:07 of action, in an excellent bout between two amazing athletes, it was the hot LyNN who rolled over Sanchez following a Springboard Tornado DDT! The crowd was really into the match and they were on the edge of their seats with the amount of action they received in this one. It came down to the very end where LyNN was just the better man and was able to put down Sanchez Jr.! - We return to Hartford following the Best of the Best, which is only a week from today, on the 15th of October! We see you guys next 2 days from now in New York! WE ARE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK!

Sucks about Tom Diamond, hopefully it won't take too long for him to recover. Ace's new character is very intriguing and hopefully the finals see a Hart/Bennett encounter. The whole Bockwinkel thing is interesting too.

-Not much fun that I lost, but I'm so looking forward to the eventual Bennett/Hart showdown. Ken Anderson must have a terrible record, he seems to always be losing. Diamond's injury is tough, love everything that's going on with Bockwinkle especially the whole eye patch thing. It's interesting stuff. Main event was classic, LyNN has been on fire! Great show again.
