This topic was brought on by an incredibly random, obscure "where are they now" sighting I had this morning.
Jerry Springer came on this morning, and although I don't usually watch or enjoy it, I was busy with other stuff around the house and didn't bother turning it off. It was your typical white trash cheating on each other episode, and afterward they let the audience take turns insulting the people on the stage.
I glanced at the TV and could have sworn I knew one of the audience members from somewhere. Then it hit me: It was Darryl Cross, one of the contestants on the first season of WWF's Tough Enough. He used to call himself "The Moose" and was universally disliked by the rest of the cast... one of the early storylines in the 2001 season was how arrogant, lazy and clumsy Darryl was and how he took to bullying Josh Matthews, etc.
You can see him in the infamous clip of Triple H's "don't waste our f'n time" speech... he's the big black guy sitting in the back:
On Springer, he basically pointed to the white trash on the stage and told the TV audience this is the biggest reason why you needed to stay in school... if you didn't, those people were an example of the life you would have. He also told one of the guys in stage he was a football coach (Davenport Central High in Iowa, apparently) and that he had about a dozen 16-year-olds on his team that could kick the ass of the dude on stage, and that the dude should "stick with his whore."
He's irrelevant in the grand scheme of wrestling history, but it was so odd seeing him on Jerry Springer that I thought I would share. "You Can't Handle the MOOOOSE!"

i remember watching it when it was first on tv. hhh was my favourite wrestler at the time and i remember losing a bit of respect for him with the way he talked to the trainees. he went on about how you earn respect in this business but how you meant to respect someone who acts like that. just my thoughts anyway!
does anyone know where i can find footage of bob holly on tough enough 3?

Looked like H's had it out for Darryl.
But yeah, I remember the first Tough Enough very vividly. Funny that four members of the cast made it on WWE television... even though there only could be 'two' winners.

Darryl was a dick. He once had an ebay auction that he was auctioning off a chance to fight him. LOL!! My favorite was Gregg Matthews from that show. he worked some CZW after he left Tough Enough and also some smaller indys in PA. He was from Reading. Unfortunately, he had a terrible car accident and his back got even more ed up. He is working construction, last I heard.
