Can't in' wait! This has been my favorite season so far. I work until 10ish, so I'll have to tape it, wait until 11, then watch it. Here's a quote from Michael Emerson (the man who plays Benjamin Linus for those unaware) regarding the season finale: I don't know if it can top "We have to go back!" (which may be my favorite cliffhanger ever), but I'm psyched none the less.

Yeah, I cant wait for the season finale episodes as well. As the user above, I too loved the "We Have To Go Back" season cliffhanger and no other show for me as even come close to an ending that incredible. This is not my favorite season as that honour goes to season 3 but this is still an amazing season. Its the only show on TV that gives me that feeling of joy when watching and utter regret as Im waiting another week for the next episode.

Even though I've been less than impressed with Lost this year, I absolutely can't wait for the finale.
Hard to believe this is technically the last season finale ever, as the next will be the series finale.

Pretty bad ass ending. Though does what they did at the end of that episode Erase what "Fake Locke" and Ben did to Jacob?
I still think no matter what they did the plane is going to Crash on the island. There was quite a lot of hints though that Charlie is alive and well. Which is awesome.

Pretty sweet ending, too bad we have to wait until February 2010 tho. Did Jacob say "there coming" there, didn't quite hear it

Episode was awesome, ending was incredibly lackluster as far as I'm concerned.
I don't know, I was just expecting a little more more. I had read so much about how it was going to be a game changer, and obviously it will be, but the episode was put together so nicely that I felt like something more was necessary.

I didn't care for the ending. The episode was great leading up to the climax. But the last thing I see on Lost for a year should not be Juliet. I can't stand her and was happy when she feel down the shaft.

What a total mind haha. I guess the obvious thing would be to assume the guy from the beginning was fake Locke but I think that would be too convenient.

I can't stand her and was happy when she feel down the shaft. Didn't you think it was pretty obvious when she fell that she was going to set the nuke off? It seemed so clear to me that was going to happen. I've got so many theories now of where next season is going to go. The major one being that Jacob is the reason 815 crashed, NOT the button. Which of course would mean he like Charles Widmore wants them to win the "War". Which I'm assuming is against Ben, False Locke & The Others.

For whatever reason, I'm feeling a bit empty about the finale. Its not something I've ever felt before with Lost.
I think I need to watch parts of it over again. Not to mention, eight months just seems like a dreadful wait to figure out where this is really all going.
Hard to think that a show that I honestly believed changed television forever, and sparked my interest in film as an art form is coming to a close in a year.

Just watched it and my gut reaction is that it was awesome, even if the cliffhanger was somewhat predictible. Throughout the episode I was kinda-sorta on the right track for what was in the box. When they showed it to Lapidus, I thought "It's gotta be a person. What else would he be able to recognize? The man's just a pilot, after all." And when they showed up to talk to Richard, I thought it might have been Jacob; with the obligatory "If Jacob's in there...then who is in the temple?" with someone like Widmore or Christian waiting for Locke/Ben inside.
I'll probably come back here and post more thoughts once I've had time to think about the episode and season in general.

I've been poking around on Lostpedia for about forty five minutes now and it has really put some things into perspective for me.
Aside from the somewhat lackluster ending, the episode itself may have been one of the most artistic efforts of Lost yet. The mythology and the reoccurring themes are really starting to shine through.
The connection between the man at the beginning of the episode and Locke at the end really flew past m, to be honest - as did the fact that the ship we saw was the Black Rock.
I'm definitely going to have to watch this one more time to really figure things out.
